Hello. As some of you may remember - I have serious problems with wakelocks and it's related to a "SMSDispatcher" service (for those who are interested - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2138980).
I had no issues at all on ICS before I upgraded to official JB. Great battery life, huge screen-on time, ~3 days on battery with small usage was something normal for me.
But after upgrading to JB I started to get wakelocks. Loads of wakelocks. I checked battery stats - the Dialer apk showed up. I installed Better Battery Stats and it showed me that "SMSDispatcher" prevents my phone from goind into deep sleep. I thought it was a bug so I flashed back my .195 4.0.4 FW. And guess what. The problem was still there. It... transfered from JB to ICS?! I have this problem for 3 weeks now and even today I still don't know how can I get rid of this.
I tried wiping every partition on the phone including both SD's. Tried deleting contacts on SIM card. Tried deleting all contacts from GMAIL and manually adding them again. Tried flashing stock JB and use my T without restoring ANYTHING. But I haven't tried one thing:
Yesterday I installed unofficial CM10 (from original android development subforum). Almost clear android could have bringed a peace to me finally. It runs great but not perfect. Why? I still have SMSDispatcher issue. LOADS of wake-ups from the Dialer apk (sometimes it shows as com.android.phone, sometimes as RILD).
What I discovered is that on ICS these wakelocks are shorter than on JB. About 1/1,5h of wakelocks for ~22h on battery. On Jelly Bean it was 3h for 8h on battery.
As far as I remember on 4.0.4 .195 FW there was -19 baseband. Both official JB and CM10 use -33 baseband which may be a problem, I don't know.
So my next step in my long path to get rid of this annoying bug is changing to ICS baseband.
And my question is - which files shoud I pull from .195 stock SONY 4.0.4 FW?
I tried to flash baseband using flashtool but the baseband didn't change. It's still -33. So I probably need binaries/files pulled from ICS and I don't know which ones.
Can you help me? Maybe with your help I could finally get rid of this or at least make the problem less annoying...
Can you just flash an ICS firmware and exclude everything except baseband?
Not sure if it wise but it may help you.

I already did that. No result.
Another idea - is it possible to repair software on the phone with unlocked BL?
EDIT:
Ok, found Jozinek's thread with .ftf to relock my bootloader. I will try to repair my software and see if this fix my problem.
Problem solved. It was my old SIM card's fault. It was more than 6 years old and I had to manually cut it from mini-SIM to micro-SIM shape. I probably damaged its inside structure or something. I went to my carrier and requested a new SIM card factory cut to a micro-SIM shape and now everything is ok! No strange wakelocks at all!
Hi mate!
I just was wondering after all that u've experienced what do you thing about JB , which is better for performance and battery life management ICS or JB? I'm just thinking is it worth it to upgrade to JB or stay on ICS
Stay on ICS if you don't like charging your phone once a day (in good scenario). Or twice.
ICS has definitely much better working Extended Standby Mode. It gives you amazing battery life sometimes. I'm on JB because of better multitasking and higher RAM available but speaking about the battery - ICS wins. JB just has to be fixed and tweaked by SONY. It's just a first public release. So bugs are something common. We have to wait.
Last Month when i bought s800g And first Run I saw an update to ANJ2. OF course i've completed an update. During month od using it restarted itself 5-6 times at night. This is disturbing, when coudnt wake up because phone is of and clock And alarm just dont work.
I found that in beginning of december they have realesed ANL1 firmware, but my phone doesnt see this even in kies. Is it reasonable to try to do it manually? Will it help? Or maybie this is hardware issue? Has someone similar problems?
S800G? You mean G800F maybe?
Yes, I had ANJ2 for a short time and it was indeed very buggy. Problems with receiving calls and random phone restarts. Luckily I had an update to ANL1 a few days ago and it seems to work OK now. What region is your phone CSC? You can try and manually install a ROM from a different region, although there are some issues reported with updates failing to install due to partition size incompatibility.
You can see all the available firmwares on sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com
Hello everyone,
I have question about 4.4.2. This night I went to settings to check if there is os update available and after half year maybe i can update again but now to 4.4.2 KitKat.
Can you tell me if it's good idea to update to 4.4.2. because i've seen some people are writing online about 4.4.2 issues...? Does this mean for all devices or?
I did not use any custom rom-s, and didn't do any os modifications, even i didn't "root" it.
Currently it is using 4.3. android and everything works well, but as you may think i'm pretty curios about 4.4.2 and i don't belive i can ignore that but i just want to know about some problems if any..
I repeat, it is offical update, not custom.
Thanks in advance
Perica
OMG. I've done update last night and i have these issues now:
- overheating of device (back, bottom) - with time it is heating less as i can see..
- 3g is disconnecting every half second
I'm now trying to fix these issues but as i can see i will now need to use custom rom
:crying:
Just to confirm that there is no overheating anymore. And 3g is now working because of some other not important reasons.. it was nothing to upgrade. I didn't do anything and now everything is fine. Overheating was because of inital initialization only i'm thinking. Anyway, even i didn't test it fully i didn't had any other problems and i can confirm that upgrade is fine.
Hello everyone,
I already investigated some, but I guess I can make a threat, because I know someone else experienced the same.
Friend and I bought same phone, same day, from same operator. Soo far, he is getting OTA updates normaly (current version L19-C432B182), but mine phone not getting any, and whenever I check, there is no update.
At the end I had to update phone using L09 full B182 update (which is working fine), but does anyone know what can cause the problem, and will I get future OTA updates? Only "custom" thing that I have different from my friend's phone is custom font... which I belief is not the cause of the problem. If someone have idea what could cause the problem, please say so, and is it smart to return it to operator.
Best regards,
Zetra

This is not an official update. This is a test version, but it works very well. If you have B321 then download the full version and install it like this:
1. Create a folder DLOAD in the external SD card.
2. Unzip the file update.zip into the DLOAD folder.
3. Disconnect your phone from your PC, if still attached.
4. In the dialer app type the following: *#*#2846579#*#*
5. Select Software Upgrade [option 4], then Update SD Card.
The phone will then reboot and install the update.
Enjoy
I know how to update already flashed b393/4 from xda and gone back to b321 official. So if coming from b394 it's enough ota update instead? Who cook this "test" version?
Thanks
This is a Huawei product, but not as an official update. If you have a B394 then OTA update is enough, but I always do full update.
Regards
Than you . Whit b321 official italian firmware I did 5.30 hours SOT and many time more than 4.30/5 hours. What about this version?
ı have p8 gra l09 and make update b395 but %50 battery and android system drain 800 mah battery and bad bad battery performance.later full reset phone but ı why android system drain battery?
got the same problem
Do not install any (test) firmware , other than these which come trough OTA update. The latest official update is B394...
I did full install of B395 and I noticed big battery improvement comparing B394. In B394 google services eat 40% of my battery during day, mostly when I was using mobile data. So my phone was at 30% (or less) around 16:00 and now it's around 60-70%.
Only problem I noticed is that Bluetooth system in my car is not working - devices are parred, but Bluetooth device doesn't receive any calls. I tried to unpair it and pair again, and still nothing. On the other hand, smart bracelet is connected and working fine so I presume it just permission problem somewhere but still didn't have time to look into it.
to go from b394 to b395 it's enough to flash OTA update.zip?

No, always flash Full update.
Sent from my HUAWEI GRA-L09 using XDA Labs
Got it yesterday through OTA. I have 400MB of free RAM more than on B394. Hopefully it would improve battery life because standby drain was way too high (1% per hour with all services diabled, I was getting up to 2 hours of screen on time).
I think the battery life here is tremendous!

Try to reflash the same update - in other words, if you recently updated to B395, reflash B395 using the dload-dialler method.
