Usb-C to 3.5mm Audio Jack
Hi! anyone have an adapter to listen music by this cable?
if someone is using one please have us a review
I want to know if the quality of the music is better than 3.5mm jack audio output.
what about .flac audio format? they sound better with this adapter ?
I test audio with Sony.
* MDR-XB500
* MDR-XB90EX

do u mean, 3.5mm to USB-C b/c if u connect a usb c to headphone jack, the quality will not improve, maybe 3.5mm to usb-c, but i don't think the OP3 supports usb audio, i had tried to get a DAC for my oneplus one and usb instead of the 3.5mm jack but it was mono so it did not sounds good and no separation, i would like to find something better too b/c i put a lot into my car audio but i don't listen CDs, i may go with an Android Auto Headunit b/c those should support usb c audio without mono, currently i am using a HTC One M8 with Viper and Dolby Atmos and it sounds pretty good
u may not be able to tell much but here is a video i made to test SQ, this is a flac file

I Saw this v?*deo,
and he use LeEco earphones, and works ....

with a port converter it won't sound any better because you're still getting an analog signal from the phone's dac just being fed out the usb-c port rather than the headphone port. Now if you have some digital usb headphones with their own DAC pulling a digital signal from the port then you could have better sound but only because the headphones' dac is likely more suited to that exact pair of headphones though the OP3's DAC is pretty decent imo compared to other phones I've had.

quick question audio headphone

I was looking around the phone and can't find any jack to plug any audio headphone. do i need a special wires headphone for the tilt?
There was a usb-headphone supplied with my Kaiser (audio headphones with a small usb-jack).
You can buy an extra adapter that allows 2.5mm audio jacks, like this one: picture.
It may be easier to get some Bluetooth Headphones...

[Q] Bose on-ear headphones + cable mic

Hello everybody,
I own the bose on-ear, and I love them.
http://www.bose.co.uk/GB/en/home-an...bose-audio-headphones/bose-on-ear-headphones/
I would like to use them with my htc hd2 while calling.
Since the audio cable from the device to the headphones is removable, is it possible to have a 3.5mm female/male cable with a mic and audio controls in it?
I mean something like this:

with mic and controls attached
thx

EDIT:

I've done a slightly different take on this, I snipped the lead between the control module and the headphones and soldered a inline 3.5mm jack socket. This enables me to plug my Sennheiser HD-25 headphones in without having to damage the lead and in fact plug any standard set of headphones in whilst keeping the full functionality of the remote module...

Is there anyone else here who uses a BOSE in-ear headphones?
I've got one and I read a few reviews AFTER I bought it that it's not loud enough. I'm not sure if this is something to do with the phone or the product is just like this.
I've had Klipsch Speakers for my PC before but unsure if their earphones are also very good compared to BOSE.

Usb type c audio jack

Hi I was listening to my music and I was impressed but just wanted that bit more volume I don't want to root ect (I cannot believe I'm saying that)
Has anyone tried a usb dongle which ships with most phones without headphone jack as I've heard some have a dac built in and sound much louder ect
Suppose another question is would it even work on out phone as we already have a headphone jack will our phone evem recognise music through the usb type c adapter?
Thanks
you can get external DAC's that use the usb out to get direct digital audio, bypassing the A/D D/A conversion.
I have a pair of headphones (AKG N90Q) that have built in DAC. they can grab audio direct from the usb output.

Right just tried some gaming headphones which have a dac and I've tried them both on the note 8 and the ps4 pro remote and both sound quiet and lacking volume
But when I plug them into the tv the quadruple in volume does this mean that the note 8 and ps4 are just not as loud even tho I'm using the dac from the headphones
Thanks

USB-C to 3.5mm digital/analog

Have anyone tried to use the usb port as audio output? Thinking about getting one from aliexpress (for testing). Dont like the 3.5 mm port on top as i put my phone "upside down" in my pocket.

The HTC USB-C to 3.5mm adapter absolutely works! Here's the drawback ; The operating system does not allow you to fine-tune any of the audio settings. You can change them all you want, but I think that since a DAC is in the adapter there's no software in the phone to modify it's settings.
The sound is great, but you should have some good headphones that don't need to rely on fine-tunng with an equalizer.
I purchased the USB-C headphones that come in the box for the HTC U11, but they don't work because they're designed to work in conjunction with HTC's adaptive audio software and they are powered by the phone. I haven't tried any other brand of USB-C headphones yet.
Okay thanks for the tip!
As i understand the xz1 compact has the usb audio device class 3.0 wich supports both analog and digital audio thru the usb port. Wich would be the difference between usb c to 3.5 adapters and usb c enabled headphones wich probably would contain the actual dac. The analog one should support audiotweaking tho?
I Will order two different adapters, One analog and one digital and report back here.

Anything to report?
Nope. Ordered from China so might take a while..
I've got a Dragonfly Red USB DAC incoming which I plan on using with "USB AUDIO PLAYER PRO" app. I'll be connecting via an OTG usb cable. This will give me a high end source to drive some high end IEM earphones.
Pretty sure this will work, as the DAC is designed for Android 5.0 onwards. Will report back once I have all the parts and tested.
If that helps, I just attached my USB Headset to my phone and it works perfectly, volume control, muting and everything.

Been using the above setup, and confirm its working good. The Sony audio settings (clear audio, DSEE HX, etc) do not have any effect on this DAC audio output (I wouldn't want to either, and I think these effects only alter the 2.5mm jack on the phone). I am using an app that has direct sound output to the DAC though, which bypasses the android sound resampling process. This gives you much better sound if you have a good DAC, or even one that is better than the on board sound.

Question Xiaomi Mi 11 audio DAC

Hi,
What is the audio DAC (digital to analogue converter) used in the Mi 11? Is it the CS43131 that was recently used by Xiaomi in their Mi dac hi-fi? Or is it the Snapdragon 888 audio dac, if yes what is it? Thanks!
I found the info myself, here it is in case someone is interested in the audio details.
The Mi 11 is not using a dedicated dac. It uses the Qualcomm Aqstic audio. The amp is WSA883X and the DAC is WCD938X. The DAC and the Aqstic Audio Codec is capable of delivering 384 kHz / 32 bit Hi-Fi audio with extremely low distortion to a jack output. The sound is going to be great even for the ones looking for the highest standards.
Explain-me if I am wrong, if you use cord headphones connected with the type-C adapter, the used DAC and amplifier will be the one from the external adapter. I not sure about it, but it, but USB type-C will not pass the analog signal for the speakers.
I believe that what would be important is the DSP (Digital Signal Processor)

Unlike the lightning port on iPhones the usb-c port can use both passive and active adapters. In the case of a passive adapter the phone's dac and amplifier are used. What you described is the case when using an active adapter. The Xiaomi mi dac hifi is a great option in terms of sound quality if you use an active adapter.
Hi guys, I have a Mi 11 Ultra, and I plan to buy DAC models like iBasso DC04 and TempoTec Sonata HD Pro, or TempoTec Sonata E35.
Earphones - KZ ZSX Metal
What do you think, guys?
I have a MI-11 and car audio without Bluetooth but with an AUX -cable with 3,5 male jack. Can I use USB-C splitter to USB-c 3.5 female so I can charge and have audio on my car radio via the AUX cable?

Hello! I got a mi11 a few days ago and I get some noise when reproducing music on my headphones or whatever I connect it to. Have tried several good quality headphones (AKG, Sennheiser and some wireless huawei) and I get the same effect everywhere. Even with my external dac there is no difference.
Could it be a software issue or it has to do with the built in dac??
