I will tonight I need to edit the bill. Pro change the name
Installed great with no problems. I installed it thru twrp and sd. Havent tried it thru adb and sideload. Been getting some intermittent fast reboots. It runs smooth so far. Oh it did take a while for mobile service to start after the initial set up. Gj on the port!
Ps... it doesn't like Samsung milk music even though it's going to be shut down in Sept. It sounds like a scratched cd at times. So far no problems with Pandora so far.
Awsome
This is a work of art.
Hahaha I was literally looking at this Rom last night in the other forum and considering what would stop me from installing it.

Hey I appreciate the thought. Normally my goal with Samsung is to remove Samsung stuff lol. So I probably wouldn't be a good choice for maintaining this one.

Im not trying to be a ass hole or anything but im having some problems with this rom. When im listening to music with headphones at work.. Out of nowhere my sound Stutters and then my phome reboots it self. And some times my lock screen will freeze up and won't turn on when hiting the physical buttons on my phone the lockscreen will not turn on. Untill i take my case off and yank my battery out then its fine untill it does it again. Both of these problems happened 3 times in 8hrs.
What could be causing this issues?
Thank you paco for you hard work! I really appreciate it.
Will you be trying to port cm13 to the j700t1 model?

It's not being an ass unless you are[emoji6]
That's what the thread is for. Working out the kinks.
Now a couple of questions:
1. Do you have xposed installed?
2. Are you using any sound mods(v4a, atmos, etc)?
3. Clean or dirty flash?

@brandonlee96 i have been running this rom for the past week i did not get any problem with lockscreen or the music ...but i can help you better if you can get me a logcat ..that way i know what is the problem with the rom on your phone.....
like OriginalShinken1 said Do you have xposed installed? Clean or dirty flash?
this rom is not full set up to run xposed .. !!! xposed can create a problem sometime if is not install properly
1. Of course ive got xposed installed.
2. yes i dirty flashed it.
2. Only mods i have is the sound mods that came with the rom.
Ive had these things installed on the stock rom for j700t1 an had bo problems with it

Okay.
1. The xposed question is asked by most Rom devs because that's usually the culprit.
2. Flash status is asked because clean is usually best.
3. Some mods that have to be flashed after the Rom cause same issues as xposed (sometimes)
Now I'm just saying this because it needs to be said:
This ain't stock.
Alright. Now we get to business.
Did you get a logcat for the dev?
If not, all good right now.
Have you tried any other music players or turned off sound mods (if you can)?
You could (i know it's a pain) remove xposed and reboot. Then add it, reboot. Add a module. Reboot. Do that for every module until either you find the problem or nothing happens and all is well.
Could wipe and start from scratch.
These are the things you deal with when customizing your phone this way.

I did a backup through mobile go windows. Then I wiped the phone out then did a clean flash. Now I'm having troubles getting the rsa key fingerprint accept dialog to show up. When connecting to mobile go on my pc. I've tried 4 different micro USB cables including the original one an i reboot my pc and phone 3 or 4 times. Still nothing. Yes I have USB debugging on and I even tried (ADB DEVICES) in cmd. It just shows my device an says ( UNAUTHORISED) still no popup for the usb debugging rsa key fingerprint dialog.

This ROM works great! Thank you kind sir. The only issue I have noticed is the random reboots. Is there any way I could address this? I Love having 3minit baked into this and the other MODs!

This should return your phone to a completely stock state in case you want to grab an OTA update or return the phone.
Instructions:
1) Download update-thrill-stock-rom-rooted.zip and place it on your SD card.
2) Power off your phone.
3) With the phone powered off, hold the volume down button, the 3D button, and the power button until you see the LG logo and then release. This should boot you into CWM.

5) Select "install zip from sdcard" and navigate to and select update-thrill-stock-rom.zip.
6) When it finishes flashing, select "reboot system now".
7) Download recovery.backup and place it on you internal SD card.
8) Run these adb commands:
Code:
adb shell
Code:
su
Code:
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.backup of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6 bs=4096
Code:

Once I get this new version up you can boot into CWM and push it to your phone using the following adb command. Then proceed from step 4.
Code:
adb push update-thrill-stock-rom-rooted.zip /sdcard
edit: Crap, couldn't get it uploaded in time. Have to run to an appointment. Will upload a little later.

I am going to hold out for LTE and the bigger screen
This Samsung friend of mine has one now, and he was spot on with the release date he gave me 2 months ago...so I'd say the Celox could be in hand within 2 months for sure. Hoping to play with the Test model he has soon (and get a release date)
Still may keep the thrill though. With your ROM this thing is pretty nifty...plus we have other upgrades available on our lines so....
but to stay on topic...I leave early today and will try out whatever you get going later today

Thanks GTG your the man Back to stock brotha
Thanks a lot I like this phone but I am not sure if I got lemon or what , Playing pandora radio it squeals all the time no matter what rom I use, the music on music player skips all the time too. I sometimes have to push icons 3 or 4 times to get them to register my touch. and the home row icons I cannot even use them half the time because they don't even do anything when I touch them. I think there might be a problem with the screen. But that is not all that is wrong. I have the phone freeze for 5 to 10 seconds at a time a whole lot and have to reboot. Just to many problems for me, so I really need to go back to stock to get a new phone. I will prob just get a galaxy SII instead. I sure did like recording in 3d my 6 year old playing sports and such was cool , then watching it on our 73 inch 3d tv she loved it.

Yeah, I would think you definitely need to flash stock recovery before updating. You might as well unroot while you're at it because that screws up updates on some phones too.
Ok Back to stock everything work perfect ............ waiting for updates
Unless you have heard of the update coming within the next day or two, I am going to keep Thriller on mine until I hear otherwise. No reason to flash back until the update is released.

Thanks for the information!

UPDATE: My hosting I had for XDA related work expired, so I re-uploaded everything here: http://www.mods4cars.com/pub/xda
Here's the new Verizon OTA packaged up as a full CWM flashable ROM. Wiping should not be necessary if you are coming from our last ICS ROM (LP10).
This is meant for those who have CWM installed and for those who modified their system to the point that the OTA does not work because it expects certain files.
If you are on full stock (rooted) ICS LP10 and are not getting the OTA update the regular way, you can look here for a way to manually install it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1932597&page=26
The rom is pre-rooted. After installing, run super-su and let it check for binary updates. Also a cached copy of su for restoring with Voodoo OTA rootkeeper is included (for extra safety).
Part1: The ROM
Install with CWM
http://electron73.org/XDA/i815/electron_ICS-LP11_i815.zip
Part2: The MODEM
Flash with ODIN in PHONE section
http://electron73.org/XDA/i815/electron_ICS-LP11_i815_modem.tar
Part3 (optional): Stock Recovery
If you want to be full stock afterwards, flash with ODIN in PDA section
http://electron73.org/XDA/i815/electron_ICS-LP11_i815_recovery.tar
Part4 (optional): Stock SBL
If you did all 3 parts above and want to be able to receive future Verizon OTA's flash this in ODIN in BOOTLOADER section
http://electron73.org/XDA/i815/electron_ICS-LP11_i815_sbl.tar
Enjoy

Did you have lots of apps installed? I just realized it's doing a run_program("/tmp/fsck.ext4", "-Dfy", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p10");
on the data partition. If that partition is full with lots of files then the check might take a while. The status bar doesn't move while this command is executing. I never tried it on a "full" partition! A freshly wiped data partition is checked in 2 seconds

Yeah, I had about 100 apps installed. In any case, I tried it again through CWM. When it did the check this time, it took about 10 secs. So the first one must've been a hiccup or something. I was able to flash ROM and then radios through ODIN, so I think I'm good. I looked at the files on the internal storage and the SD card and they are still there, so I'm assuming that I'm good. Anything else to check or are there any log files that you want me to try to grab for you? Thanks again.

Hmm ok, definitely good to hear that it ran through the 2nd time. Maybe I should kick the FS checks out. They are still left over from last time where we had all those partition problems...
If you want, go check in the /cache dir for any log files left by CWM, maybe there's something in there.
Btw. Thank you for the generous donation! It is very much appreciated

Also, regarding the current ROM, I really curious about the supposed batt life increases. My tab at this point is barely getting 4-5 hours screen time with it set fairly dim. Is that normal or should I be getting more that that? I don't suppose that a ROM update will help with screen time much, but just curious to hear what others are getting.
Update was painless

I have never tried TWRP on this tab. What's the current version for our i815? Does it work well? I assume just like CWM it doesn't accept stock OTAs though, does it?

It was hard to flash (the apk method didn't work, I had to use Odin -- which really is no big deal, just scary for some). In any event, I'm running 2.3.10 available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1809295

Did you wipe data/cache? Coming from CM10 you definitely need to do a clean install. You can simply flash the "wipe" version of the LP10 rom first, then upgrade to the LP11

Wanting to get rid of bloatware I didn't want in the first place and explore more on the Android mobile operating system I decided to make the jump towards a custom ROM and here I am. I have been impressed with my first flash of CyanogenMod 12 so far but unfortunately have run into a various amount of problem which I have tried to explore before coming here. The only problem I've sorted so far is the normal "install core Google apps without additiona bloatwarel"... But that was easy.
I have the following problems:
1. No LTE.
I'm on o2 PAYG and have entered what I think are the correct settings for use of the Internet, but unfortunately I still have no Internet capabilities beyond WiFi. When going on search for networks it will spend time before going "error while searching for networks".
2. Audio and video.
-Most noticeably on Snapchat, when I record a video the phone goes haywire and may spend 5 seconds vibrating before spending the remainder of its time being generally slow until I restart it.
-When I bring up the music playing app, I press to play a song and the audio doesn't work, nor is the song actually playing. The track bar may go to 0:01 with no sound before going back to 0:00. The device also lag once again, but not as bad as SnapChat instance. The system audio works fine as button response audio is fine and calling works fine with ringing and hearing the recipients voice.
I have gone through a couple of threads to try and find answers so far, but unsuccessful. Any help would be appreciated.
My current set-up is:
Phone: Sony Xperia SP
Android version: 5.0.2
ROM version:12-20150120-UNOFFICIAL-Ibhuashan (would be happy to change up ROM if advised so)
Kernal version: 3.4.0
I would be happy to supply additional information to help.
I'm hoping to get to know my phone and start contributing in some what possible way on the forum, but for now I just want to find my feet in this exciting new adventure
Many thanks for all help given.

Hi, I had a check and retraced my steps of unlocking and rooting before I installed CM12. The device is unlocked but is not rooted any more. The rooting method via towelroot no longer works for me and ends in constant rebooting.
Hope this helps!

Sorry for the late reply, I had only found the time to start this today.
What benefit do I gain from changing up my kernel? Is the ROM previously mentioned alongside the kernel update only available for devices running a particular kernel?
Many thanks for all help so far!

the benefit is like faux sound ...you can control your cpu and gpu and a lot of things ....last update of the ROM that i gave you is only working with costume kernel (t-kernel) so yes you have yo flash ROM then t-kernel and then reboot ....if want there are like cm12.1 ...it doesn't need a costume kernel ...just flash cm12.1 and reboot......so you can choose .....happy flashing
good luck :good:
Soft-bricked the device after I wiped, attempted to install the 12.1 ROM but failed due to it saying its not the right device, and then accidentally restarted not paying too much attention to the yes and no's of CWM. Sony logo starts up but nothing else at present. Trying volume{up, down} + USB but nothing at the moment vibration or light wise. Hopefully this is fixable, not too worried at this point in time unless I should be?
Currently following this thread for instructions. Unless you can advise me on better or even if you have to tell me its straight up gone...

don't be afraid ...you tried to flash cm12.1 that mean you are UBL....flash t-kernel v2.2 twrp via fastboot mode and you will gain recovery to flash again the cm12.1
Fortunately kept calm and have gotten back to having an OS present. I've currently status quo'd back to CM12.
I have PhilZ, can I just use the PhilZ instructions for t-kernal?

yes of course ! .....if you want my opinion> wait until the AICP\ RR \ROMs to be up to date ...they will update it today or tmw(very soon)
Installed t-kernel and AICP. It boots and then gets to optimizing apps. Once it completes the 82 optimizations it goes "starting apps" it reboots... should I faactory reset & wipe the caches and reinstall? Almost there haha.

do as following
,,,,please do a full wipe and then flash AICP and flash t-kernel v3.0 and then reboot
Wiped data&caches, flashed AICP then flashed 3.0 t-kernel. It reaches starting apps and completely freezes instead of rebooting now. waited 15 mins hoping it was really slow but it's frozen. I then wiped and tried to reflash but that particular recovery setting doesn't like the checksum of the t-kernal so doesn't allow installing, so i flashed back to CM11 and reflashed AICP & t-kernel, completely following the steps given.. but once again freezes at starting apps.
Any more ideas? Thank you for all effort given so far!

Once again... wiped entire user + cache and first installed 12.1, then gapps core and finally t-kernel 3.0. It gets to starting apps and freezes. I'm able to flash CM11 or CM12, but that would mean the original problems encountered which makes my phone half -useless. I've tried to boot into safe mode, not knowing if you can do that with an un-optimized android.
It's all getting a little bit weird now. Something is going wrong somewhere, but I don't know.

wiped and attempted to reflash and the installation failed. Next I connected it to my pc and went into fastboot mode and wiped data/cache/system and flashed 12.1. It boots (sign of t-kernal is gone) but has so fa yet to do anything else, the current screen is blank b ut it is on.
I hope this information was useful to you. It seems to me to more up the current ROMs I go, the more they seem broken.

this is far from weird ....the last hope for problems like these ...to start from scratch ....to flash ftf ROM via flashtool and re install recovery then twrp then reflash the ROM (5.1) ..only few users had this problem and solved it with flashing ftf ....sorry man for that but i think you have to do it or stick with cm11 or something
good luck ...if you need any further help i'll help you :good:

you use twrp last version right ?....boot into any ROM you can go to ...install rashr app and flash via rashr this twrp recovery and from that recovery flash cm12,1
i'm sorry i have to go to sleep now ...but first try to flash twrp ....etc...if that didn't help flash ftf ....
good luck mate :good: ....i will see what happened with you tomorrow

Sweet! How do I install it?
Well, that depends on one thing. Are you S-OFF or S-ON?
If you don't know what this means, then you're S-ON.
If you're S-ON
1. Download the ROM zip to your computer.
2. Extract the "boot.img" from the zip file.
3. Put the zip file on your device and flash it in TWRP.
4. Reboot the device to fastboot mode and, on your computer, flash the boot image you extracted to your device by issuing the command "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
5. Reboot normally
If you're S-OFF
1. Place the zip on your device and flash in TWRP
2. Reboot normally

No problem.
I added another disclaimer to the OP, basically saying that it's not quite daily-driver material yet, just in case anyone decided to skip over the issues list.

Appreciate your work man. you're a 16 yr. old badass in my book.
Prepare yourself though for lots of headaches from the many many users who just wont take the time to read your instructions. Never seen anything like it during my time here on XDA.
What you have done so far is remarkable (you too Mr. Mike) I can wait for stabilization if it comes, if not no biggie. You'll never hear a complaint from me bro.
You need anything, just ask. I'm available to those who are serious like yourself (you too Mr. Mike )
Anyways, thanks buddy. For everything.

Love the progress. This rom is awesome. I have two HTC Desire 510's. After reading the "Not Working Section" I realized that data doesn't work on virgin mobile just yet. So, I will re-install this rom on my non activated one and follow your progress until calls, messaging and camera works. Then, I will install it on my activated one. But, thumbs up my friend. You beat MIUI to the punch in getting a modern rom started for this device. They still work on dinosaur HTC device roms. LOL!!
when will this be stable this rom looks awesome keep up the good work

I must have done something wrong when installing. LOL!! I'm not an expert at flashing. So I don't doubt that I did something wrong. Ok, i'm gonna go back and retrace my steps on the flash and make sure I didn't miss any steps. Wait, I think I did. Is the boot image that needs to be extracted from the zip for those of us who are still s-on does that mean it needs to be completely out of the zip and then flashed in fastboot? If so, that is were I messed up at. And when whipping, do we factory whip or advance whip? Just wanna make sure. If I can at least get calls and text working, I'll be fine.

You can leave the zip as it is, you just have to make sure that you flash the boot image in fastboot. When I wipe, I usually pick "Advanced Wioe" and wipe system, data, cache, dalvik-cache and sometimes even internal storage.
will this work with boost mobile ?? i 1.
5. Reboot normally that all went great ! but cant - Call , Text ,

Hey, you are doing fine. No complaints here. I know from experience that it takes time to get these roms fully running. Plus, I'd rather you be in good spirit while working on this masterpiece. :fingers-crossed::victory:
Just got a new Verizon Nexus 6. Never rooted or messed with android in my life. I installed Android M on it (with hours of frustration) and then was following a guide to root it while being on Android M. Somehow I deleted EVERYTHING on the phone, it says the phone is corrupt and wont start when I try to turn it on. (I have Team Win Recovery Project v2.8.7.1) How can I fix this ASAP? Have no idea how. I just need a working phone. Please help thanks!
If you can boot into TWRP just download a ROM and push it to the device and flash it. If you can get into bootloader you can flash a factory image to fix.
If you've never rooted, let alone even used Android, why the hell are you installing a dev preview onto your device? Guess you found out the hard way. Just saying....

Yeah I agree. I need some one with skype to walk me though it. I literally followed step by step guides on youtube without knowing what I was doing, it was my fault.

That was your mistake. If never messed with Android worst thing you could do is jump right on a Beta build.
---------- Post added at 08:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:08 PM ----------
Easy to fix if unlocked and have TWRP. Recommend going to stable build first and work your way up. At least will have a working phone. Make a backup up stable build and then play all you want. Could have made backup of stock before even flashed M and would have been golden.
What did you do when you got the corrupt message? I'm asking because many people get this message but if you ignore it, it should boot up anyway.

It sounds like all you need to do is: when you get to that "phone is corrupt" screen, press volume down and then the power button to continue.
