I have big problem with my note 5 n9208. Every time when it goes to sleep it would not wake on and I must do a soft reset to turn it on.
Every thing is work normally and perfect when I used the phone but after the set time for the lock screen no longer be able to wake up the phone only can do is soft reset the phone.
Did you try a factory reset or reflash the stock firmware with odin?

I was flashing rom (stuck at 75%), then I realized that it was not downloaded completly, After that It stuck in 3color mode, so I flashed another rom.
After that, whenever I have ON my kaiser, and I press power button, it will go sleep, but after few seconds it will wake up again. I tried several roms, but same issue, I dont know what to do now, when I will let it to go sleep it wont wake up itself, I have to press power button.
Also I am not able to make hard reset, it just soft reset.
I have tried to reflash spl (3.56 hard2) and few radios too, but it still wakes up when I switch it to sleep by power button
Hi
I tried to upgrade to Froyo, that part went well..
But: After boot the screen is visible until I either press power or phone goes into "sleep"
Then next time I try to wake the phone up (via power or meny buttom) the screen will not turn on, I can see that the phone is awake because the two buttons lit up, and I can swipe the screen to unlock, but screen is still black.
If I reset the phone the screen starts again until next sleep or pressing power button.
One more thing, I cannot set the light level any longer.
If I go back to Eclair the screen works ok again, and light level (both manual and automatic)?!
I have now tried almost every how-to about flashing firmware, but not luck yet.
I tried to search for similar problems, and found similar but no good answer.
What shall I do?
Post in Q& A next time .
How did you upgrade and what firmware you used .

I have tried several, but last time (today) I used following, via Odin, I9000XXJPY from samfirmware.com
And thanks, I will post Questions in Q&A next time, sorry.

Block 2 Odin method is worth a try .

I will try it again and see if works this time (if I missed something first)
Hi,
Since I installed JS5, randomly, the screen remains switched on and doesn't go into sleep mode. Even with wifi disabled, it doesn't change. The only way for the sleep screen to work again is to turn off the phone and restart it.
Any help on this issue please?
Factory Reset first step to problem solving .

Thanks
It ended to be a Titanium Backup issue once it starts an automated backup
Hi,
My KnockON functionality is acting up. It used to work fine, until 2 things I did to my phone. Is there a way to somehow reset/refresh the phone, without doing a factory reset? I don't want to lose the free wifi tether, because I'm on ZVC.
Details: I installed some Ingress timer app, and it somehow messed with the phone to where my phone sometimes ignores the wake-up when I tap twice on the screen. The phone is fine when I double-tap to sleep the screen. And sometimes it wakes up fine. Other times, I need to hold my finger down on the black/sleeping screen, and then it wakes (so that's just one tap and hold, instead of the usual double-tap, to wake the sleeping phone). Other times it could be that I tap several times, hold my hand on the screen, etc., and it might work. Then other times no tapping or holding will work, and I have to press the physical button to wake the phone. But I never have any trouble when I double-tap to sleep the phone, because I think the phone is fully awake at that point and able to detect each press correctly. So something is making my phone sleep so hardcore that it may ignore some screen taps. I have already tried using quickshortcut maker to launch the hidden KnockON menu, and toggled that on/off with resetting the phone in between, and also tried installing and uninstalling the Ingress timer app that led to this.
Just want to confirm that my situation is hopeless and I have no choice but to perform a factory reset, and then figure out how to get wireless tether later. But I'm worried that there is no mention whether people on ZVC have any options when it comes to free wifi tether after doing a factory reset on ZVC?
I leave my phone on during the night for the alarm. Sometimes when I wake up and the alarm goes off I turn off the alarm and when I go to unlock the screen it shows the message saying that the phone has been restarted and I need to enter my password (I have the fingerprint unlock so it happens every time you restart the phone). Today I woke up at 6:04am (before the alarm went off) and I checked my phone to see the time before going back to sleep and the message wasn't there. I went back to sleep, my alarm went off at 6:55am and I turned it off. When I go to unlock my phone the message pops up. I don't know if it's an alarm thing or if the phone randomly restarts while I sleep. I attached a picture of the battery usage and I'm not sure what the huge gap in the middle means or if it helps. Thanks.

So that huge gap means it's rebooting? If it is, then that's a long time it's off then. I've recently flashed stock EPG2 and factory reset. I'll try doing the factory reset again tomorrow when I have more time.
I have these issues when SYESTEM UI automatically restarts. I'm just too lazy to backup and factory reset the phone, so I've just been living with the issue.
