Hello to you all!
So, I have been struggling with this problem for a week. Searching on the Internet and especially on XDA, but I can't find a way to solve this problem.
The problem is with my sister's phone, a Sony Xperia Z1 which we can't unlock anymore. This is since a friend of her changed the unlock pattern as a "joke" and she was so dumb to not remember the new pattern.
As I've already done some research I'll sum up the things I've already tried, which problems I encountered and in which state the phone actually is:
1. The phone is not rooted
2. There is no recovery menu. Obviously tried factory reset but can't acces the menu.
3. USB debugging is not activated. I can't activate it because I can't unlock the phone and acces the settings...
4. Tried to flash it (via FlashTool) to put the recovery menu on it --> failed because not in USB debugging mode
5. I can't connect to wifi
6. There's no gmail account linked
7. The secret code *#*#7378423#*#* does not work (I think because it's updated to Lollipop?)
8. I read about Aroma File Manager, but same problem again. Can't acces it because I can't acces the recovery menu.
If anybody knows another solution to unlock this phone, I would be very grateful (and my sister too )
Looking forward to your answers!

Hi
I have forgotten my Galaxy S I9000 Passcode. No google account, No security question, nothing!
I tried entering recovery mode and use wipedata/reset factory option. but then again it asks for password and I dont have anything
Furthermore, I can't connect the device to pc so I can backup my data because it asks me to enable USB debugging but I can't access the menu to do so.
Now I have 2 questions:
1- Is there anyway that I can backup my data? (Not Rooted)
2- Do I have to enable USB debugging in order to flash the device and install a fresh firmware? Is it possible that I brick my phone during the procedure if USB debugging is disabled?
Thanks
I'm not sure what's the easiest way to solve this.
What I do know is that flashing a .tar for the original Samsung GB rom through ODIN will probably solve this. You can still enter download mode right? If you haven't heard of ODIN and download mode try searching for it on google or these forums.
check out and read the entire thread

If you have failed to have enable USB debugging, what you can do is flash a semaphore kernel and use CWM recovery to either crack the pattern lock or use mounts and storage to copy your entire SD card to PC

Hello everyone. I am in real trouble here and I will explain why. I have recently tried to get the custom recovery with a locked bootloader (philz touch) on my device by following a thread. As far as I know I followed the guide properly but when my device rebooted it bootlooped 10x and then when my device booted it froze at the lock screen and restarted. now my device bootloops several times before boot and once it boots I get 1min at the most before it freezes and restarts. Also sometimes it fails to boot at all and it gets stuck in an infinate bootloop and I have to pull the battery. when I connect it to my laptop with a usb cable it is only recognised if the device boots but I only have a few seconds because the phone reboots and disconnects when I try and enter recovery or download mode my screen goes black and the only way to get of this is to pull the battery. I have also tried to connect to my laptop when on this black screen but i have had no success. If I turn the phone off and connect it to my laptop via usb when I am on the "battery charging screen" it appears on my computer as a unknown usb device. i do have all the drivers ect. my device is rooted with baidu root if that helps. ive heard of a little device called a usb jig would that be useful to me? sorry if this is not worded very well or looks like a book. Im not a idiot but not quite "tech savy" i would like to think i am somewhere in the middle. I have been using this site for years for various devices and always managed to succeed. help would be apprecited. Thanks
UPDATE: I have tried to factory reset from the settings but for some reason the button is greyed out and it wont let me press it! also I cannot connect to wifi or mobile data these are greyed out aswell and when I try to connect via the sliders in the settings menu they are also greyed out!!!

Hi, you need an unlocked bootloader for it to work properly. You can find how to unlock the bootloader by going to Sony's website and see where it says to unlock the bootloader or just look for it on Google. To get back to the stock rom (Android 4.4.2 KitKat), you will need Flashtool and the stock rom. You can find the rom on Google by just typing "sony xperia e1 d2005 stock rom". To get the recovery just try looking for it on XDA. And USB Jig will not work for Sony devices. USB Jig is only designed to work with Samsung devices.
My uncle died, and my aunt gave me his phone. But was locked by a pattern so i wiped out everything at the menu. The phone still locked this time by email... And i read some forums to connect it to pc and change the twrp... But i cant acess to the phone settings to activate the usb debugging. What should i do?

Factory reset if you want to lose all data on it
Hello everybody how should i start to explain my problem……
my phone was by the police for 14 months and they tried to crack my password und recover data from it.
They couldn‘t and they send my phone to cellebrite and they couldn‘t do anything too.
Now after 14 months i got my phone back and i charged it first of all and then i powered it on (sry for my bad english).
I started the phone and all i can see is that my phone is stuck in recovery mode now,
when i try to reboot to system it will boot up to recovery mode again with a error message „This MIUI version can‘t be installed on this device“.
I tried to Connect with MiAssistant but when i choose „connect with MiAssistant“
and connect my phone with my PC, MiAssistant don‘t show any devices.
How can i Boot to ROM without loosing my data ? I need everything whats on the Phone especially the installed apps with saved login data.
I need my phone like it was before they took the phone from me. Is it possible ? Can somebody help my with my Problem ?
I think they opened my phone to do EDL because my backplate seems to be opened like you can see on the pictures i attached.
Before they got my Phone, my phone was i think rooted but i cannot remember any more but it had 100% installed TWRP which is gone now too,
and my bootloader is locked and i dont know if USB debugging is on or off now.
same here
