Signal points of USB port are broken. So is there any way to transfer files or To install OS?? TWRP v2.8.7.0 is installed .Boot loader and recovery mode is working!!
Please Help
Any help of terminal command in TWRP?
yes you can try pulling the files if you can go to TWRP...
command is "ADB Pull [File path in phone] [where to save in PC]"
and to install os just download a flashable stock ROM and flash using fastboot...

Is it really? Well the odds of only data transfer terminals and not charging terminal being damaged is very low. Does your computer make notification sound when you plug in your switched off phone to PC USB port. If it does then I think it's drivers problem instead. Try Universal Adb Driver. If the port is really damaged then get it replaced or replace yourself(if you can) and then try..

The USB port is the hub. If it's damaged then there's no way. I am sorry to say this but it seems like the damage is in the circuit board and only service centers are able to recover this.

Try to reboot it with ADB 'adb reboot' if even that doesn't work there might be somethink broken on your USB connection (PC, kabel or USB connector of your OB).
If you don't have ADB get it from here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2105931
This is just a very basic test but the connection with ADB often works even if anything else doesn't.
****. now the phone wont start. not charging... and power button not working
found out that it was hardware issue. when i press at the back of the usb port it charges and the phone connects. how to fix this?
When I try to flash the boot.img by running the phone in Fastboot USB it does not connect with my PC. I have installed the latest version of SDK and the necessary files that need to be installed such as fasboot.exe, etc.
I had successfully flashed a boot.img before reformatting my PC but now the phone disconnects when in Fastboot USB mode although it can connect and is shown in Device Manager when inside the phone OS.

Well anyways it could be multiple things. It could be
1. You dont have proper drivers (but u said above you do with latest SDK and HTC Sync installed)
2. Broken USB port on computer
3. Broken mini HDMI port on your phone
4. Broken Cable.
You wouldnt by any chance be using PACman are you? I actually had some problems where my computer would not detect PACman in fastboot. If thats the case reflash PACman and try again. If that still doesnt work, then flash another ROM with full wipe, then see if it connects.

I was running PACman but after I installed the latest update for it my phone kept bootlooping so I am currently running CyanVivo X. It connects fine using the USB cable but it just doesn't connect when going into Fastboot USB.
I can also connect through the recovery menu with Clockwork Recovery.
You have to make sure whether your USB port is broken or the cable itself.

It is not the USB port or the cable because it works 100% fine when not in Fastboot USB. The phone connects perfectly fine within the ROM and in Clockwork Recovery but not in Fastboot USB. I am thinking that re-unlocking the phone may help.
EDIT: I was using a USB 3.0 port and that was the issue... For some reason it didn't like the USB 3.0 in Fastboot USB << Heads up for anyone else having this issue.

Yes it is possibe. From the root prompt on a terminal you could "dd"the correct images to the correct partitions.
However I would recommend you try to find an other PC (windows 7? ) where the usb does work, and where the correct APX driver can be installed if the phone is in the invisible recovery mode. (you will have to have a plan B if the dd fails anyway).

My pc USB ports works, my phone port doesn't, thats why i need a secure guide to going back to the oldbootloader without connecting to the PC
micro-sdcard
Try with a micro sdcard. You can see the slot if you remove the back cover.
It has saved me a couple of times
Wut?

Thank You
Plzhelp
Are you using the original USB cable? There are some usb cable that will only provide power and no data connection. So make sure you have a data cable first. Then check you have the latest HTC drivers installed on your computer, make sure you don't have HTC Sync installed, that you are using a USB 2.0 port directly at the back of your PC (no external hub). What is your TWRP version, your Windows version and your Bootloader version?
Yes I know I have tried this all,
Have tried all recovery is twrp 2.8.7.0
Nd usb is original I use the same for my Xperia z2 for flashing...
Drivers are installed with signature enforcement disables on 8.1 windows
But all was working fine suddenly I got this issue..
What could be done
What is your hboot version
Can you get fastboot connectivity when in bootloader?
Can you get adb connectivity when in custom recovery or when booted in the ROM with USB debugging turned on?
Also worth mentioning that you won't get connectivity if your phone is on the lock screen, you must unlock the screen at least once when connected to the computer.
Otherwise if its the usb port, it can easily be replaced, you only need to remove the cover you then have access to the small usb/front mic board and can replace it without further dismantling. The usb board is pretty cheap, you can find it on amazon, ebay and probably any other website of that kind.

Anyone with the same issue ? I am stuck at the bootloader since I wiped out my system image I can get to the recovery but I don't have a way to transfer new ROM since phone wont detect USB (MTP).
I didn't have any image backed to restore to. Tried OTG cable/USB nothing worked
What are my options ?

Hi... Is data mounted and MTP enabled in TWRP?
Is your phone detected while in bootloader?
Try: fastboot devices
If phone is recognized, download stock firmware of your choice and flash it...

MTP is enabled but phone is not detected at all
I can access the terminal in recovery mode but it doesn't support ftp command to download any firmware.
I guess I am doomed

Wait... I don't get it...
Are you stuck in recovery? Or bootloader?
Also you can't use ftp commands either in bootloader or recovery... I suggest you start by reading this thread to learn a few basics about Android commands and how-to :

Sorry to confuse you I can get to the bootloader and the recovery no problem but when I try to reboot to the system it kept saying no OS installed. I don't have any ROM installed and I can't use USB cable since phone won't detect it. So I am stuck at back-end.

So...
What operating system is installed on your computer?
Did you already install adb/fastboot drivers?
In device manager, while being in bootloader, is your phone detected when you plug your USB cable?
Did you try different cables, USB ports?

I tried different cables/PCs nothing worked. I think my phone USB port is defected but what confuses me more is that it can be charged just fine but no USB connectivity
It is still under warranty but not sure if it will be honored since I have the bootloader unlocked.

Nothing like said it is dead. I have another nexus 6 can connect easily to the PC I am pretty sure it is a phone issue.
Well, if you're 100℅ sure the USB port is damaged, there's nothing else than a repair that could bring your phone back to life... Good luck..!

Tried that already it didn't work
Might be a driver problem.
Connect it your windows pc and check the Device Manager if it is detected as "Android" device. If so uninstall it and disconnect and reconnect it to the pc. Let windows install the MTP drivers.
