I have S5830 phone with buggy touch sensors, changed front glass with digitizer and something is wrong now with sensors. So now want to use this phone as portable blackbox (I tend to blackout when i drink). GPS logging and audio recording to sdcard would be the trick.
I would strip down cm10.1 rom to just a basic apps (no sms app, browser, contact app, minimal laucher, minimal file manager, no google apps, no music app...), but what app to use for gps and audio logging?
I am facing a weird issue with the gallery app. Whenever I shoot multiple photos or download any and open the Gallery after that, the photos don't show up. I can only see grey rectangles in all albums. After sometime the gallery app force stops and crashes. I have updated to the latest gallery and camera app but used to face the same issue before the update.
At the same time if I connect a USB OTG it shows an empty drive.
I guess there is a problem with the media scanner of the device. My phone is still on Kitkat and it hasn't yet received official Lollipop.
Anyone facing the same issue? I don't have any screenshots to post. Any help will be appreciated!

1. Is it possible access google photos app from inside of note 5 camera app (instead of using the samsung gallery app)?

2. Is it possible to delete all of samsung apps but the camera app? I prefer google apps as it is universal between of devices and i'm used to them.
3. Every time i take a picture or video it is automatically saved in my google photos cloud and also in my note 5? I would like to know how google photos backup process works.
4. When would it be a good time to root the note 5? still too early as it gets updates from samsung? I'm pretty satisfied with marshmallow+nova launcher+a theme from samsung theme store but what would be the benefits of root in daily usage in terms of battery, ram management, performance, etc.? Increase in battery life would be nice.

1) Yes within the app. Today google photos offered to place an icon shortcut within the note5 camera app. I can now tap photos or the default icon after taking a picture

Howzit guys, is there anyway we can port the Samsung S20 screen recorder APK to work on the mi 9? The Samsung screen recorder allows you to record media sound + mic.
I think it's easier to use 3rd party app than porting. You can find many on the store which offers the functionality you need. I use this one screen recorder, and it works well so far. It has the lite version, too, for my potato device.
