Anyone doing this? Or thought of doing this? - T-Mobile Note 7 Questions & Answers

Just delete this post Mods, since apparently most people on here are angels and make everything seem like a bad thing ?

Low and scandalous....mod remove this pos post!

T-Mobile isn't supposed to be selling any Note7's so I highly doubt your stupid plan will work, dirtbag.

wouldn't you still be getting an "affected" note 7 since its from the same stock that tmobile originally had? samsung is still producing the replacement note 7's. you'll get a new one when they are released... just sit tight.. I don't get what you're trying to get out of this scam? it's not like you'll be paying anything out of pocket for the new one and more than 99% nothing will actually happen to the device you have now...

No, it's blatant dishonesty.

[Q] Nexus One Stolen, Get another one or wait for something better?`

Hi peeps.
Trying not to just make this a rage on the flaming idiot who stole it.
Should i just buy a new nexus one or wait for something more awesome like the milestone 2 to come out?
Ive tried the Galaxy S,Desire and didnt like the feel on either. Lower models are just crap.
You can still get the N1 here in Finland, only con is it costs 629€, damn expensive.
Any thoughts?
Depends on what's available, and if have your contract up and can get the subsidy price. Of those you listed, the desire is the closest and you can still run stock android on it. The Desire HD is a pretty nice phone too if that's available.
at this point just get something better, N1 is showing its age and no code refinement will make the N1 do what the Galaxy S can do.
Maybe check out the Synapse Phone. Customize your hardware and it comes rooted and unlocked bootloader from factory
I'm considering
Rellikzephyr
EDIT: new info says synapse phones MAY be a scam, so be careful. But I hope it isn't, I love the idea
EDIT 2: not a scam by the looks, but considering company resources, most likely not gonna happen anyway

Even if it has the best specs on paper, the Galaxy S is plagued with serious problems that make it a poor choice unfortunately: inaccurate GPS and severe lag. Users where hoping that Froyo would fix the problems but it does'nt...

help me out please im from a different side of xda

so i dont own this phone but my brother in law does. its not rooted and totally stock. he has such bad problems with it and doesnt want to flash or root it. i own a photon on sprit and know a ton about android os and the bounty of phones they offer. im just wondering. he wants a new phone because hes sick of this one and has insurance on it. verizon wont help him and i understand why. now im sorry i dont want to fish thru all the fourms to see the new newsso can someone just tell me and then get rid of this thread. if he "breaks" his phone and calls and pays the 100 for the new one will it still be the same phone? or are they out and will he get something else. thanks for your help everyone and long live google!!!!

Verizon doesn't sell new revolutions anymore but they do have refurbished ones that they will push on him. I have seen stories in these forums of people who went to the store and put up enough of a stink about their revolution that they got a different phone. However I think most of them were on their second or third replacement.
yeah iv seen that myself first hand but hes not the kind of guy to make a stink over things. thanks for the help and replay. im talking about asuron (spelling sorry) what would they give? a refurb? or something else?
All depends on the problems really. Usually they'll just give a replacement.
thanks not what he wants to here but we will try thanks for the help man. please mods get rid of this
I went through 3-4 Revos before they sent me a different phone. Good luck with whatever happens.

Verizon does not handle the insurance. Asurion I believe does. They most likely have plenty of Revolutions in stock. What he will most likely get is someones factory reset POS. They don't actually fix the phones you send back. If they boot, they wipe em and re-flash them. they do a few quick tests then in the bin it goes for warranty and insurance replacements.
i never knew of them giving you a different phone, just tell him to root and flash a custom rom and the phone will be better than a new one

Nexus 4 RMA screw up

I ordered 2x16GB Nexus 4s on the 27th. I received them on the 7th, but both have overheating issues (overheats and turns off with about 30 minutes of Temple Run gaming).
I placed RMA requests for both Nexus 4s, yet to receive them though.
Now I seem to have lost/misplaced both the Nexus 4s.
What will happen next? I understand that I will get charged for the replacement phones, but won't be refunded since I cannot mail back my current defective devices. But my question is, will the defective devices still be remotely disabled, or if I do find them at some point, can I still use them?
You called to return 2 phones because they shutdown from playing Templerun? Then you lost both phones before returning?
My guess is they will just keep the repay hold on the RMA if you don't return the phones. They charged you? Right?
I guess they will disable them if you report them stolen or lost..
Dude, no offense but returning a phone because it has issues with one game seems extreme.. Also.. How could you misplace 2 brand new phones? I do not understand at all..

you cant possibly 'misplace' 2 brand new phones...

Yes, that is correct. They get pretty hot, much hotter than my GS2, but that would be fine as long as it doesn't shut down and stuff. Maybe I just got a bad batch. Screen gets yellowish after a while too.
I haven't been charged yet. Maybe they'll charge me when they ship out the replacement devices?
Might sound totally silly but I put them back in their boxes after requesting them to be RMA'd. I can't find the boxes now. Must be in my house somewhere, but I've looked every place possible but I can't find them..
I'm with these guys. My N4 was barely out of my hand for the first week after I got it, how could you lose 2?!!!
Also, did the overheating problem present itself when playing other games or doing anything demanding? It sounds like the game might have just needed an update or reinstall. I don't think Google will do anything remotely to those devices unless you actually ask them to.
I'd start turning the house upside down to find them phones though, RMA requests don't last long.

Doesn't sound silly so much as it sounds like you were trying to get more phones without having to wait for a normal purchase. My only real question is whether you still have them or if you sold them?

Am I Crazy?

I ordered a Nexus 6 64GB in Midnight Blue from Motorola. It was delivered yesterday at 10:30 and is still sitting on my desk unopened. I keep thinking about whether to return it, sell it on eBay or keep it. And this is without having ever actually held a N6.
I worry about the burn in questions, signal issues, whether a phone purchased from Moto will get VoLTE for simultaneous voice and data on VZW (assuming N6 sold through VZW and GPS eventually do).
I'm nuts, right? I should just open it, play with it, see if I like it, right? I can always return it. Why am I so worried about opening it?
ummm yeah you crazy
I vote nuts
Same question everyone has asked themselves. Therefore, the same answer applies : If you take it out and play with it, you'll like it and have a hard time leaving it alone.
Oh, and yes, you are crazy!

You're letting the internet scare you to the point of inaction. Sad.
All of the things you mentioned would allow you to return it to Motorola in 30 days.
The longer you let it sit, the narrower your return window becomes.
I'm using my N6 on VZW this very second and, quite honestly, I trust those things will be resolved by Spring if they're an issue now.
As someone who was in your position, I decided to just get one and wouldn't go back. All the issues people are reporting are totally overblown for the most part IMO. Especially people who say the screen sucks or is too dim...
you've read the threads. you have concerns. now, it's time to open it, use it and validate/invalidate your concerns. final step: you decide to keep it or send back. simple as that (and i'm sure you already know this).
This is the best phone I've ever owned.. Every new phone I've ever gotten gets the same complaints.
Nuts for sure
?
Yeah man, I saw all those reports and didn't let it scare me. Best decision to bust it open and enjoy stock Android on a beautiful flagship

Just open it up and try the phone yourself. If you have any problems you can send it back for a replacement or refund.
Conclude your own opinion of the phone, not by others. Or if you must, go to a t mobile store and try the demo phone.

Open it use it trust me you won't want to put it down
IT'S ABSOLUTELY AWESOME
I worried about size and it's not really much bigger than the wife's note 2
As for screen burn in it's not widespread and it's something every phone model probably suffers from

This is same as asking a iphone user , is iphone the best phone? Offcourse they gonna say its the best.
To get unbiased views you need to ask it in other forum like android general. Probably ask a mod to move this thread. In my view its not close to flagship phone and its price is not justfied.
Just my view

To get unbiased views, the OP needs to open the box and make his own assumptions. You yourself just gave him a biased review because of the price.
As many others stated, the OP has 30 days to open the box and play with the phone to see if it is to his liking or not.
For my biased opinion, this phone does have some pretty good specs, and priced lower than similarly specced phones.
you're nuts, just return it and get an iphone
Go to a T-mobile store and try the demo phone camera and screen + flip through and load as many apps as possible. If you dont like it, then return or sell it. Hell, if you sell it message me and I'll send you a buyer right away who will pay for it tomorrow at $50/$100 more than you paid for it.
Anyway I've used this phone for a short while and you'll either love it or hate it.

Is anyone going to return the phone because of possible recall?

Hi,
Was wondering what people think of the recall. Seems like if they do do a recall, we would have to ship the phone in for a week at least. This would be very inconvenient and I'd rather just return the phone now before 14 day t mobile policy.
Any thoughts on if Samsung would give a freebie or maybe just give a new phone somehow? Otherwise, returning the phone seems to be the best idea and buying it again after the issue is "fixed"
Any idea if t mobile will make us pay 50 dollar restocking fee on this?

I would say if you're not havingany issues there is no need to return unless you're worried of future issues. I won't be returning because I have no issues and my phone was manufactured 2 weeks ago. Also tmobile will not charge rsf

Im going to go out on a limb and say no but I could be wrong...
I really don't want to return my device because there is no problems with it like everyone else is having. But I'm going to give T-Mobile a call and see what my options are.

I didn't grab the 7, decided to wait for whatever the Nexus will be because really, tho the note series has always been pretty good locked up and knox not being able to be reset later for full functionality has finally turned me off, with that said tho, if you have a note 7 by all means exchange it. It's in no way worth a gamble, whose to say what could happen if it caught fire, exploded or whatever. Your safety or your families is nothing to take a risk with and saying it has been fine so far is just plain stupid. Everything and everyone will always say it was just fine until it's not. If something was to happen and someone hurt and you knew about the issue yet ignored it you are pretty much a piece of *[email protected]# in my opinion. Samsung would not issue a recall and face the negative press unless it was something they truly deemed necessary.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I've had no issues with this phone and have loved it so far, but I'm not going to take the chance of not sending back a possibility defective phone. Of course there isn't any signs of issues right now, but just my luck as soon as the recall period ends my phones will explode. I will be calling T-Mobile today or tomorrow to see what our options are because I'm not going a week or two without a phone. Everyone should return their phone and it should be a no brainer
If anyone is planning on selling their Note 7 down the road I would exchange it.
People on ebay will want to know if its one of the "fixed" units
Well my 256 GB card just showed up. They're not recalling that bad boy. Maybe go with something unlocked I guess.

Samsung acts fast and announces a recall on all Galaxy Note 7s because of potential battery issues. And Apple doesn't give 2 $#!%$ about the owners of iPhone 6 and 6 Pluses with Touch Disease who can barely if at all use their phone.
if there is a recall i will go back to my note 5 I loved that phone
I have my old Note3 as a back up (just replaced the battery so kids can still play on it and now it works and looks like new), so no big deal at all for me., so whatever they do I don't care much, I just hope it's a misunderstanding and despite being worldwide, only Korean made Notes 7 will be recalled (can't believe all factories produced faulty batts or that they can't track where battery was made) and mine is made China. One thing I'm 150% sure I will be owning Note7 recall or no recall and hell will freeze over before I would return it and switch to some other phones just being released any day now.

I just called them and they said samsung is manufacturing new notes, and in about 2-3 weeks they will call you and you bring your old note in and they just give you the new one, no restocking fee
I have 3 or 4 other phones so will just be waiting to see what our options are.

Looks like you'll have that option.
I just got back from the Tmobile to return my note 7. They gave me the option of another phone instead of the note 7 or just get a phone in the meantime until my new note is shipped in 2-3 weeks. They remburst me for my tech 21 case and screen protector. Which I still get to keep. Also since I Finance the note 7. They will credit me for my first payment of my old note 7. I had the silver returned and ordered the blue Coral. They actually asked which color I would like.
Just called t-mobile. They said they will exchange the phone outside the 14 day return policy.. They will be sending out a mass text message with details on the exchange.
I definitely want a note 7, I don't want to exchange for any other phone except for a replacement note 7. So are they fixing the current phone or are they exchanging them? Waiting a week without a phone is stupid, I hope we get the Option to exchange for a new fixed one
Mine was made china on Aug 6th...its just the Korean variants with the issue correct?
