Hi, I have the 8 inch Tab S2. Can anyone divert me to a lightweight ROM that just has the PlayStore and or little or no extra apps? Even if I reset my tab, it seems to have lots of samsung crap and stuff on that I do not use. I'd rather just have a plain ROM and download the things I need.

Is there a standalone .apk of the Samsung Galaxy Tab launher that people can use on other devices (including the Nook)? The two devices have same screen size and resolution, so using it would be very easy, since both have almost the same specs.
If yes, does it run on 2.3?
Not sure if anybody agrees with me. I was thinking the possibility to port Note 8.0 OS to Galaxy Tab 7.7.
I feel that the note 8.0 buttons and text are bigger than galaxy tab 7.7 which have small text that sometimes uncomfortable for my eyes, old eyes maybe
No doubt Note 8.0 has better processor, but tab 7.7 excel in graphics and I still love my tab 7.7 and I feel it's still not worth to dump my tab 7.7 for note 8.0
Anybody has better view on this?

I did follow your advise to install the ROM and I really like it! With bigger text and bigger buttons, indeed it looks like note 8.0 and very comfortable to use. Thanks!

It's nice to see a lot of users are finally getting their hands on the new Galaxy Note 4. that being said, I am hoping that I get mine soon!
That being said, this will be my first Note series phone, and Samsung phone in general. What are some things I should do when I get my phone? Like apps to get, features to explore, etc.
Note users, what should I be doing when I get my phone? Besides rooting it
1. Switch screen mode to basic.
2. From Galaxy Apps, install "key features for galaxy Note4".
3. Try not to look too smug when you encounter iphone 6 owners.
I just bought a Galaxy Tab S 8.4. I have had other Android tablets before. My most recent was a Nexus 7. I rooted my 8.4 easily enough. When I tried to uninstall some bloatware, the system just reinstalled it I'm looking for a custom ROM like Clean ROM on the Nexus 7 - one with less bloatware or at least the ability to have control over what apps I keep.
Thanks for any input.
Sorry wrong forum. Ignore!
I like to learn new things, and to figure things out. Lately that has been how to build and modify apps. Trying to learn how to make things I.e devices programs ect. do what they're not intended to do. If anyone has any advice for an FRP and a Samsung Galaxy S7 that can't go into developer mode I'd love to hear it. Tried everything I think. Also altering apps to their subscription version.
