IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS:
BULE is the most famous CM ROM developer for Redmi note 2 in China. His ROMs are amazing smooth and stable.
I do not own this ROM, I found it on a Chinese development community. After flashing lots of stock and CM ROM, I feel that this is the best choice for Redmi note 2 til now.
So I just want to share it to Redmi note 2 users from all around the world.
I will post updates for this ROM here too.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROM SPECIAL:
- Extremely smooth.
- Battery usage is very good compared to all other Redmi Note 2 ROMs (just try and get high).
- Perfect support for lossless music, and enhance the stability of the video hardware.
- Optimized camera with fast focusing speed. Picture quality is now as good as on stock ROMs.
- No over heating. The phone is always very cool, even when using 3G, 4G or playing big games.
- Flat theme (not actived by default).
- Multiple languages.
- Wakelock blocker added to the smart control setting.
USING TIPS:
1. To capture screen shots: simultaneously press the volume down + power buttons for 2 seconds to achieve.
2. Change the weather location: add desktop weather widgets, and custom location, click to confirm.
3. The developer mode is hidden by default, you need to open Settings > About phone, click on the version number for 5 times.
4. Double tap on status bar to turn screen off.
FLASHING GUIDE:
Coming from another ROM:
1. Install custom recovery (TWRP recommended)
2. Copy custom ROM zip file to sd-card (internal/external)
3. Boot into recovery mode
4. Now select wipe
5. Advance wipe & select system, data, dalvik cache, cache
6. Now, swipe to wipe
7. Select install & select custom rom zip
8. Install success
9. Now install gapps: Please choose ARM64 platform http://opengapps.org/?api=5.1&variant=pico
10. After installing gapps, wipe cache & dalvik cache
11. Reboot
12. That's all folk's, enjoy custom ROM

Some chinese bloatware is in the rom but you can uninstall them.
Keyboard app name is sogou input, i had to install another keyboard app from google play store.
Big thanks to BULE (authors name is BULE not blue).
Very good rom, fast and stable (Antutu +56K).

23/2 is the lastest build and very good for daily use.
Bule does not release the updates weekly because his roms are very stable and bug free. But he is very reponsive to bug reports from users. If there is a bug reported he will release the update to fix it immediately. :fingers-crossed:

About performance mode is it working well?

What about camera? Its supports PDAF focus? There are some 60/120FPS modes? Or I need to put media_profiles like on other ROMs? There is one AOSP with 720p 120FPS camera, but the newests builds are not good .. And Im thinking to switch on this CM from Bule

There is an option to auto switch between power save, balanced and performance mode, so while im using power save mode antutu benchmark gives a huge 56.000 points. Edit: without any tweak

I dont think it supports pdaf, and there is no option for 60/120fps in camera app.

So only MIUI has it? Bad.. This PDAF is great.
Camera in CM is still simple, I think developers are working on that. But picture quality of this Rom is even better than MIUI. It worths a try.

Maybe I will try this ROM in few days. I just want this PDAF support, its awesome focus. On AOSP Im using Better Camera Pro, it has 60/fps support with file mod. I hope on CM this will work too ^^

Of course. You know, the MIUI has Slowmotion HD, but its not HD.. Its just 480p upscaled to 720p. I recorder TRUE 120FPS 720p SlowMotion and there is huge difference.. And will try this ROM, bacause on AOSP i got some drain by kernel .. Ehh so hard to point the best system.
And I got question. There is Miravision/Clearmotion? If not, can I enable it? Could you ask devs?
Any1 facing problem with downloading games from Play Store? its keep repeating download after finish and then error code 963.
Also Titanium Backup have problem too, cant backup its said insullfient insufficient memory.
Same bug with jenkins build.

EDIT: after doing small research with logcat finally.
This is because the 'Mount namespace separation' setting in SuperSU being turned on (by default). Untick that, reboot then try your Titanium Backup operation again.

KitKat bootloader/modem files
This zip contains the bootloader and modem files from latest stable international release (MIUI8 V8.1.2.0 KitKat). I made it so users don't have to download and install the official zip, which also includes the ROM. It's a flashable zip, so just install it from recovery and reboot (no wipes required).

Sorry to say nothing works. Telephone, audio, video, BT except for wifi, messaging and camera. I didn't check with 3rd party applications. GAPPS-PICO could not be flashed. Had to remove certain applications to enable it to flash. Cannot play audio or video files. There is a time lag while making a call but no audio. Browser opens but you cannot play videos. Advanced reboot doesn't work.
Updated to build 20161102.
Edit1: Damn! I did a real blunder in compiling cm14.1... will fix all issues soon...

Maybe you could focus on 7.1? Just personal opinion...

I installed the versions that are on the download page and still presents problems in microphone, audio fix app closes, not the loud sounds. hopefully better because the ROM promises.

This ROM is stable enough for daily use if u don't mind the camera. And we can choose other Gapps like full, stock, aroma as well, but I think pico is fit for a 2 GB ram device.

Hello, this ROM is that the end? I have been installing updates that are hanging which is also the CM 14, but there is no progress. It gives the same mistakes. and hopefully we can have well polished is CM 14.1

I could have sacrificed the camera problem i guess but microphone is important for those who'll use this on daily basis including me
So, i will be flashing rom for the first time because I'm obsessed with KITKAT 4.4.4 though i have MIUI 8 (Latest version of MIUI)
And i dont think Xiaomi will give note 4g any attention in future too

I test youtube after add hisi_omx libs and k3 codecs..I didn't fetch any kind of lag.

Yes it works better,but i have the problem of incompatible apps like whatsapp and others apps,i see the same problem in others customs roms, good ROM always,thanks for you work!

Installation went fine, PlayStore not working right, will try to apply PlayStore fix. Developer settings crash instantly.
Those are the first things Ich noticed, will keep you updated.
Of course, if I compare it to anything, I mean other MM ROMs.
UPDATE: PlayStore fix seems to do nothing. I know that surdu_petru fixed it a long time ago, maybe he can help here too. I think a slightly different fix may work.
This ROM boots really fast.
UPDATE 2: YouTube 720p60fps is still not smooth, but a lot better that before. Every 2nd frame is skipped as it seems.
ROM feels really smooth. Developer Options are accessible if you use Dev Tools. WiFi works fine, feels faster. I'm a Fan of SlimRoms, they are really small and smooth. Video recording still doesn't work in most apps, but in apps were it worked before, the video is better. Seems to be smoother now.
My Opinion is, that one of the most important bugs to fix right now is the Google Play one. Like I said earlier, surdu or Xepeleato fixed it a while back. I think they used fingerprint of EMUI, but I'm not sure. They will probably help you find a fix, those are nice guys.
Other than that, the usual, but better.

I can't confirm because my operator is Italian (TIM) I need to call them like 40916 to know how many trafiic and money I've.
Also, bluetooth audio pairing doesnt work :/
After one night testing. Rom is very smooth and everything seems to be okay so far. Video recording still doesn't work (even on 480p), but in snapchat it works great. No need to open filter list first!

Flashed my device (SM-600FY - Brazil) last night.
TWRP Recovery > wipe data, cache, dalvik > Flash rom > wipe cache, dalvik > Flash GApps > wipe cache, dalvik > reboot.
Camera fix hint works.
However, If I make or receive any calls from any of the sim cards there is no sound.
Sometimes the cell phone does not recognize both sim cards, other times only one is recognized.

The only bug after flashing this zip is you can't see screenshot preview in status bar

Those who are facing camera issue on SM-G600FY after flashing this rom (such as downgrading the resolution to get the required aspect ratio to get the [email protected])just flash the opengapps arm stock for android 9.0 or choose opengappsaroma for android 9.0 arm and then select Google camera in the installation process in twrp recovery...
This will certainly fix the problem...
Now you can take high quality images with Google camera???

I usually play PUBG Mobile LITE, Free Fire and Forces of Freedom. Game was running great. Because this phone is old and it's processor is also poor so I'm using a magisk module named LSpeed.
Using this module u can boost ur phone's performance as well as battery.
Also for great music experience I am using VIPER4ANDROID XiFi and the sound experience is lit af.

After setting up everything as my usage, I thought to Enable Camera2Api and use GCam, So I downloaded a app from playstore named HAL3 Enabler, it adds a line to the the build.prop for enabling HAL3 or Camera2Api. But after a reboot I checked my Camera it is showing error. "Failed to Open Camera. Maybe Camera is using by other Application. Or "Can't connect to Camera".
So again I clean installed the ROM and again this time Camera got disconnected after using sometimes???
Does anyone facing it??
Or any solution for this??
[Update] : Camera problem was occuring because of VIPER4ANDROID.

May be the problem is on the CSC rom file (make sure that the rom that you have installed is compatible for your device's reference or name ,or u can change the CSC file from your rom files using another compatible file).

There has no problem on the ROM, I am still using this ROM, and also I am facing no issues. So I can say that, The previous camera issue I mentioned before, that was occuring because of my fault. [The Problem was in ViPER4ANDROID XiFi I think. ]
Currently I am using ViPER4ANDROID FX sound mod for Great Sound Experience, and Yeah Everything is working fine.

Yeah I,m facing the same issue, In my case most of the time I can take a picture or shoot a video but this camera freezing of error problem happens sometime.
So far I've faced these issues in this ROM
I. VoLTE not available in this ROM
II. This is a slowcharging ROM for me tho, battery backup and slow charging upsets me ( Kernel problem I think)
III. Camera issue, tho OP has said before that by using 16:9 ratio for camera can bypass this issue but in my case I've installed Google Legacy Camera using Aroma Installer and most of the time Camera works fine.
As "something is better than nothing", this ROM is better (feels great instead of that Samsung tizenUI Stock ROM):good:

Known Bugs:
Camera Mods don't work.
Official Lineage OS builds will not ever allow Moto's Battery Mod "Efficiency Mode" to work.
The EQ Apps for Audio Mods (eg. JBL2 App) won't work, and will crash.
Ultrasonic Proximity Sensor doesn't work -- No support present in the OSS Audio HAL. If it was written in, it wouldn't be used by anything in Lineage, as the normal proximity sensor works fine.
Notes:
Official Lineage OS builds for nash ship with full Project Treble compatibility! Flash GSI's to your heart's content after flashing Lineage. Please don't report GSI bugs here, report them instead to the GSI's maker.
Technical details on our Treble implementation:
Treble is enabled with VNDK29, and VNDK runtime enforcement. VNDK runtime enforcement means that unlike most "ported treble" you'll see, ours is just as it would be from the OEM, and can run GSIs. without need for hacks or additional flashable zips. We relabeled /oem to /vendor (as /oem isn't wasn't used in custom ROMs anyway). To use a GSI, flash official Lineage, then flash your GSI, it's that simple! Flashing a factory image will likely write over /oem and remove the mock vendor image.

Trying it out, seems pretty great! Very few bugs (not related to device probably, just LOS17).
Only device bug I've found is the camera focus: it doesn't seem to be focusing properly (or at all).
If you need any logs let me know - eager to help out.
EDIT: That's weird. Somehow after using the camera app and moving the thing around I got it to work again. Although it's sporadic at best - focusing isn't working reliably.
EDIT 2: Found what allows it to work sometimes: open and close the camera app briefly time and time again and it starts working.
Has anyone with Reliance Jio tried it? I'm not able to get VoLTE going. Phone info (*#*#4636#*#*) has VoLTE provisioned enabled but greyed out. IMS Service status says not registered for IMS registration, and Not Available for everything else.
I jumped to 17.1 straight from stock, so not sure if it used to work in 16.0. I manually tried adding the ims apn for Jio, but no go...

Adding to my quote here, I got incoming calls coming in! Only outgoing is not, the rest of the stuff I've reported remains the same. Also, the phone is able to query the status of Call Waiting and Call Forwarding, so IMS is partially working. This is a pure LTE provider, does not have a fallback.

in los 17(not 17.1)(the September 21 unofficial build) calling is working fine camera has same bugs there too tho
But if u want everything working los16 is the option

Do you see your phone's IMEI in settings > about phone? Baseband version when you tap the Android version (10) in the same screen?

I update LOS 16 to this 17.1 and everything seems to work fine, no real bugs. I've installed latest 7.2 google camera port from Arnova and picture/video/selfies are great. Phone calls no problems and it's a my impression but finally loudspeaker volume is higher than previous lineage versions. Only a question, maybe someone can help me, I've lost magisk root access, is it possible to install it with a temporaney twrp as in LOS 16 or is there any other method please?
[SOLVED] Maybe could be useful for someone. I tried the pie method: I've installed Magisk zip booting (not flashing) TWRP 3.3.1-0 (the 3.3.1-1 doen't boot on my device). Everything is working fine, I don't have any glitch and now my devices is rooted too
Getting Glitches when Playing Games Like Asphalt 9 also Same Camera Focusing Problem here too.
I'm seeing glitches in the home screen/ launcher too. Happens at random, gets psychedelic when unlocking - there are wavy lines (stock LOS17.1 wallpaper) on the image that move. Screenshot does not capture this, but I can take a photo if it helps figure the problem.
Messing with Developer Options (disabling overlay, etc) has not effect. Let me know if I can help troubleshoot...

Anywho, for the graphical glitches? Please try to go into your LiveDisplay settings and disable any special profile you have selected. I think those profiles are actually broken on nash hence the graphical issues when waking up the device after it sleeps.
