So People While Having A Non-Nexus Device(Actually a Motorola One) I Wanted To Try a the Latest Version Of Nougat On My Phone Right Of The Bat So With A Bit Of Googling And Xdaing(Searching In XDA????) I Found The Way To Make Your Phone Look Like Android 7.0.
This Tutorial Just Customizes Your Phone From A Cosmetic Point Of View. Nothing Is Changed Internally!
So The Requirements Are :
1. An android Phone

2.Root Access
3.Xposed
4.Android N-ify
5.Nexus Launcher
6.Nougat Navigation Bar Module
7.Custom Recovery(optional)
And That's It!
Procedure: So The Thing Is Pretty Much Explanatory So Here It Goes :
Assuming You Got An Android Phone Having Root Access And Exposed Installed,
Go In the Downloads Section Of the Xposed App,
Type "Android N-ify" Then Download It From There,Install It,Activate It(But Don't Reboot). Now Download "Nougat Navigation",Install It,Activate It And Now Reboot.

Now For The The Leaked Version Of The "Nexus" (Yeah Nexus) Launcher :-
1.Assuming That You Have a Custom Recovery,Just Flash The Zip Provided.
2.If You Don't Have Any Custom Recovery Then Unzip The Zip,Copy The App Into /System/app and CHmod It To 644 .
But The Problem Is That Those Thirsty For The Swipe Left To "Google Now" Won't Get this Feature The Method 2.
Have Fun With The Nexus Feel Of Nougat!

Xposed for the Note 7 after rooting with OvrDriVE's method

Ok here it is: Xposed for the new @OvrDriVE root method. I have not tested method on VZW as i do not have their phone, but this still should being this is a Samsung Note 7.
As with any custom rom's, root, add-on's, you assume all risks with modding your phone. You have been warned.
Make sure you read all of my directions below, before you start posting errors with the install. Worst case you just have to start over with @OvrDriVE s installation.
Here is the way you can install xposed on your phone after you have root. I in no way have made any files or apks, I am just posting ways you get this loaded on your phone.
Please Thank the devolopers and others that have made all these files and apks possible..
The way is to install Xposed framework via FlashFire:
1. Download FlashFire, You can get it from the app store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.flash&hl=en
2. Download the Xposed Installer Apk: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58828974&postcount=1&nocache=1&z=3764362361329836
3. Download the Xposed Framework zip. <<< this is the file that you will be flashing via FlashFire: Xposed Framework.zip
4. Once you have all the files downloaded onto you computer/phone: you are ready to start. If you have'nt all ready copied all the files to your phone storage, do so now. If you did then you can move on to the #5.
5. Open FlashFire on your phone. Once it is loaded and open, click on circle with + button on the bottom right of the screen.
Then Click on Flash ZIP or OTA button.
Now select the xposed framework zip that you downloaded from #3.
Next you click the check mark on the top right of
the screen( do not change any of boxes on the left of the screen.<<< You Have Been Warned!!!!! .
Next scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the left button (flash button w the lighting bolt)
Sit back and watch FlashFire do its magic..
6. After #5 completes, you can now install the xposed installer apk from #2. Once installed open and check framework in the app and you should have this : Xposed framework version 86.1 (custom build by wanam / 2016709 is active.
7. Now go to Download in the xposed installer and download: Wanam Xposed 1.3.0 Made for Samsung Android 5 and 6 Roms by Wanam or you can download xTouchwiz by Wanam..
8. Once you downloaded it, install it, and then in the Xposed installer app- modules- you select the the app in #7 by placing a checkmark in the box on the right to activiate the modules.
9. Reboot your phone to activate the module.
10. Enjoy your efforts and customizing your phone:
If you some reason you want to uninstall xposed : flash this:xposed-uninstaller-20160211.zip
Confirmed working on my VZW Note 7 running PH1 firmware, rooted using @OvrDriVE's method.
Edit: for clarification, I used the second method (flashfire) to do this, and it worked like a charm.
Side note, you won't find Wanam Xposed 1.3.0 Made for Samsung Android 5 and 6 Roms by Wanam on xposed, it doesn't exist. Don't use Wanam Xposed either, it's been discontinued in favor of xTouchWiz. I've tested it myself and it works great, it's made by the same developer.

Ok, 1.3.0 does exist on xposed app, and yes you can use xTouchwiz by wanam as well, both are good, xtouchwiz has alot of stuff removed that will not work with the new firmware but he also removed alot of stuff that he didnt think was needed, so you can try both out and you can decide what you want to use..I have used both and they both work.. Now unfortunately Wanam will not be updating any of these, but is only providing support only..

Apologies, looking at that module and it's description (saying it was only for lolipop) I figuredit wouldn't be good to install on 6.0.
I also went to it's dev page on XDA and it was stated that the module is no longer being supported.
Save for later!!
So really this works just like normal except using Flashfire. I got scared thinking I would white knuckle it like the root. Any other module issues? Using several of them? I like some of the small play store tweaks and battery saving modules on other phones, I know wanam has the only safe 'do everything gravity box for touchwiz' stuff.
Im not sure why, but after installing this to my note 7, The "Android is optimizing # of #" comes up and it optimizes 1 app only... It won't go away and everytime I reboot It happens. I sort of want xposed, but if this is happening everytime I can just go without it....
It stays on or you just get the normal startup type message that lasts for a few seconds? Does it affect anything else? Seems minor.

Were you replying to me? It does 1 of 1 every boot. Its more annoying than anything really. Not worth the trouble. And if I uninstall it, the optimizing screen goes away. No one else is complaining about it so its just my problem.
So what xposed apps have been testing and what are all of you using? I haven't used xposed in a couple of years and the modules I liked seem outdated, and I'm afraid to use them. A lot of them say they are only for AOSP and to not use on Samsung and other modified forks. I was surprised at the amount of modules which were totally outdated, I'd say at least half or more were from 1-2 years ago or longer since they were last updated.
Biff I'm getting that issue as well. The first reboot it optimized all 359 of my apps, but now on every reboot it optimizes just 1 of 1 app, only takes a few seconds but it is annoying. I'm finding little utility in xposed anyhow so am not sure I'm going to bother keeping it. I didn't find the oldies but goodies like wanam, something to turn off the volume nag if too high, gravity box was very explicit not to use on Samsung, etc.
Yea I don't really seem to use anything is xposed anyways. The 1 of 1 thing is quite annoying! No one else seems to think that! I think im just gonna pass on installing this for a while..
I'm not getting the constant optimization like you guys. I did get all at once after adding it.
I'm using Amplify, GlobalS-health, Greenify, Play Store Changelog, XHangouts and Wanam's XTouchwiz, though very lightly on the last.
Optimizing apps on reboot went away after 4 or 5 reboots. Enjoying xposed but still hesitant to install modules.

Really happy about this work so far. Great job and good guidance!
Ran a quick "safe" test with xTouchWiz by moving the clock from default (right) to the left side. It worked (after phone restart).
Excited, I tried System/Disable tether provisioning... Restarted the phone. Works.
Awesome.
I also have the "Optimizing 1 of 1" issue previously mentioned, but it's not often I reboot, so not too worried. Wondering if there is a way to get a log for which file is being optimized. Always good to know what's happening.

Atleast I know its xposed that is causing this... I believe there is a way to get logs, but I am unsure how to do this or where to get it... I rarely reboot as well, but its just bothersome to see it doinh that.
Awesome module I discovered while trying to figure out how to get rid of the ugly roaming triangle this root puts on the signal bars. It's called Flat Style Bar Indicators, some free stuff and a very nominal cost for full version. I also see that the root took away the carrier name, which can be added back with this module. You can change any aspect of the status bar, it's very cool. I made my signal bars look like an iPhone, much easier and clearer to read.

Okay, I was skeptical at first, but realized I need to fly soon and wanted to stimulate the green battery icon in case security thinks this is a recalled Note 7. There's been so much press about the green icon meaning the phone is safe that *not* seeing one may have folks thinking it's not...
Results with this module exceeded my expectations. And no more voLTE...
Edit: Turns out this didn't permanently resolve the issue where VoLTE appears. It comes back and will linger until reboot. We'll need a real fix, either by a flashable zip or need/updated Xposed module.

Google Pixel experience with working assistant for Yureka (No Bugs)

We all know new google assistant is pretty cool on Pixel devices.Google kept it to Pixel only but various developers helped us to bring it to any device and now it is completely bug free.I have compiled all the steps in one thread to make it working on YU Yureka device(works on any other device too).
So let's start then.
Requirements
1. Obviously rooted android with a custom recovery.
2. Android version 6.0+
That's it.
Features
1.) Pixel Launcher along with new wallpapers app ,new dialer app from google and Pixel ringtones.
2.) Working google assistant.('Ok Google' working too.)
How To Install
( TIP* Before proceeding with installing Zips just clear your google app data to help in the process of enabling assistant successfully)
1.) Download the zip of pixel experience(for your android version) by FaserF as attached here :- https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=122156
2.) Furthur download these 3 zips to make assistant working :- https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=121914
(these will add required build.prop 'ro.opa.eligible_device=true' and 'ro.product.model=Pixel'
+ making a backup of your current build.prop and not touching your original build.prop settings.)
2.) Copy them to your device...all the zips.
3.) First flash GoogleAssistantVelvet.zip .
4.) Then flash GoogleAssistantBuildProp.zip (this will install the "tweak.prop" into your build.prop).
5.) Finally flash GooglePixelExperience-flashable-(whatever vesion of android you are on).zip and reboot.
6.) U can now flash additional zips like those of boot animation.
Google assistant may not appear on long tapping home button for a few times but eventually it will appear.
To fix 'ok Google' detection just download the chopAssistant app from play store (here is the link :- credit to @masterchop for making this app ChopAssistant https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ssistant&hl=en)
That's all...I know its a lot to do but then just let's think about the rewards.
Bugs
I have tested this method myself on my Yureka device(CM14.1 unofficial build) and for me everything is totally fine.
Report if u find any.
F.A.Q.
1.) Long tapping home button takes to old google now on tap
Give it about 5 minutes and try again...If still doesn't work then clear google velvet app data, then uninstall the google app completely and download google app beta from play store by registering for a beta tester. Reboot...Assistant will appear now.
2.) Dialer app crashes
Give it all permissions.
3.) Google app crashes
Give it all permissions.
Quick review:-
I want only assistant to be working fully. Do i need to flash both Pixel experience zip??

[TUTORIAL] Make your Galaxy S6 look like the Pixel

First, I'll assume you have already rooted your S6
Secondly, I'll also assume that you have a custom recovery installed
Thirdly, I'll assume that you have an unlocked bootloader (btw, this is optional, really only if you want the true experience)
1. Step: Prepairing
You have 2 options when doing this
Either you'll select this:
-1. Option: Stock ROM with Good Lock
-2. Option: Somewhat stable CM, macs18max's build
If you select the 1. option, you will have a higher chance of bugging out and battery life degrading, but you at least have something stable to work with
If you select the 2. option, you will have a pretty darn low chance of any bugs, but the ROM is in a questionable condition
2. Step: Installing Xposed
In this tutorial I'm going to be focusing on CM, just because I have it and I think you should give it a try too
You are going to download the package named "xposed-v87-sdk23-arm64.zip" from: http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk23/arm64/
Then boot into recovery, flash it and then wipe cache and dalvik cache, then reboot
Then go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/material-design-xposed-installer-t3137758 and download the apk and then install it
That's it
3. Step: Xposed Modules
This is the list of Xposed Modules you're going to need
Please install one module at a time, don't install them all at once
-Android N-ify (The main look module)
-Assistant Enabler (Enables Google Assistant)
-GravityBox [MM] (This will enable us to enable the softkeys)
-Pixel Dock (Makes the dock slightly transparent with a tone of white)
-Pixel Navigation Bar (Makes the softkeys look like on Pixel)
Enabling softkeys on GravityBox is done by this: Open the app, go to Navigation bar and enable: Master Switch and Enable navigation bar and then reboot
4. Step: Pixel Theme for CM
Install this app from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=v23.labs.pixel.harsh&hl=en and enable it in Theme Chooser
5. Step: Pixel Launcher
Get this launcher from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.nexuslauncher&hl=en
That should be it

[ROM][TMOBILE][S7_SM-G930T][Oreo 8.0 Rooted][WifiCalling]

Updated version of this ROM: [ROM][TMOBILE][S7_SM-G930T][Oreo 8.0 Rooted][WifiCalling]G930TUVU4CRI2
ROM last updated: 10/30/2018
Introduction:
HUGE thanks to the guys that got this going like root & figuring out hybrid stocks! This ROM is a complete rewrite of my ROM [ROM][TMOBILE][S7_SM-G930T][Oreo Rooted] That ROM doesnt have WifiCalling & I couldn't get it to work for the life of me, so I rewrote it. I started with stock, and slowly stepped back making changes, reinstalling each time, confirming it still worked. About 200 installs later & 1000s of changes, this is the result. Yes, it took a LONG time. Hope you enjoy it! Don't forget to say Thanks so I know it is actually helpful to others, and continue doing this!
Description:
Stock Tmobile Oreo 8.0 modified (G930TUVU4CRF1)
EXTREMELY debloated! Nearly bare minimum, while still retaining hardware functionality. Eg, Samsung Gallery & Camera exist so we get 4k recording, and there aren't errors when we pull up the Gallery to edit, etc. Yes, this means NO Samsung or Android Pay. There could be more apps to debloat but Im out of time for now! (Please provide suggestions if interested)
Everything possible I replace Samsung with Google
Solid ROM. It was actually kind of slow for me, but I'm curious how this works for others.
Xposed is part of the guide, which will give you infinite customization & tweak-ability
If you hate Samsung SW and just want a solid working ROM with very few install options to get you up and running this is for you.
This will delete all of your data on the phone! (Not external SD card) This is the only way so don't ask. Backup your data!
Features:
Tmobile Wifi Calling works, along with Visual Voicemail & Mobile Hotspot
Many Aroma Installer app options
(Optional) KevinsFavorites option in Aroma. I'm not sure I'd recommend it due to my tastes. If you're looking for some good common apps tho, it includes: Amazon, AmazonMusic, AquaMail, Gmail, GoogleDrive, GoogleKeep, GooglePhoto, Hangouts, IFTTT, Pandora, RootBrowserClassic, TitaniumBackup, Uber, & Wink (If you install these and want to remove them later, use TitaniumBackup (or similiar) to uninstall
Root Features: See Downloads->Recommended Root Zip & say Thanks!
Debloated
De-Knoxed
Decrypted /data/ partition
OTAs disabled
Speed & Build Prop Tweaks
Dual speaker
Ruthless Launcher
Apps
AdAway
AOD Clock Face Themes
CPUSpy
DisableService
Kernel Adiutor
Samsung Video Editor and Trimmer
Xposed
Many more...

...but your'e the best! (You & I both know I couldnt have done it without all your other work!)
Once I FINALLY got WifiCalling to work, I thought... Imagine ALL the S7 XDA members out there with crappy Tmobile signal across Rural America that could TOTALLY use Wifi Calling!!! Haha, but seriously!! & that thought was the birth of this thread

I have so many FW packages on my PC at this point, from so many places that I used while trying to get this to work, but I think it might be a package from one of your threads(?) Since I'm not exactly sure what you're asking regarding "Ufirm FW", I'll elaborate hoping that answers your question. (Tho I'm thinking you mean the U variation/unlocked. So based on these stock files below I guess the answer is no.) If you're question is really, "is it possible to get tmobile wifi calling to work on a U model #", then I'd have to really think about that. But at this point I don't have an answer. I can tell you a million dependencies about it tho! (I seriously have hundreds of revisions I made while testing, & notes. The symbolic & meta links in Aroma initially broke it, as I found out after a week or so of testing - wish I knew a bit more about them, and why they're all there, then I'd know what was wrong about them...)
High-level process:
1)Flash Base/Stock/Oreo Rom:
- AP_G930TUVU4CRF1.tar
- BL_G930TUVU4CRF1.tar
- CP_G930TUVU4CRF1.tar
- CSC_TMB_G930TTMB4CRF1.tar
- HEROQLTE_USA_VZW.pit
2)Root with your method
3)Flash Xposed framework & my ROM (it's a "start with stock then remove what we don't want" type of Aroma/Edify script)

BTW, any idea how to prevent the "verification failed" error I mention in the OP steps, after flashing Xposed framework? I tried flashing dm-noverity but no luck. At least my guide covers it at this point tho... Thanks again

If you choose the keep safestrap option during root the it will flash the system/vendor/etc/ fstab.qcom that totally removes data encryption but when that fstab.qcom is flashed it also requires a data wipe for phone to boot then when you install xposed you won’t see that error but either way you end up wiping data so your choice

It works perfectly!!
I have not had any problems so far, here I leave you for the link to download and try those who are interested in VIPER4ANDROID: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1572ORe6TOrsRBuxWWBChH-WMnxkvcUjH/view?usp=drivesdk
You just have to flash it with Flashfire, but if you do not pull them, let me know Thank you very much !!! Kevin for the effort!

First, I want to thank you so much kevin71246. I tried your previous version as I was sick and tired of how sluggish my phone felt after the last two T-Mobile OTA updates. So far the experience on the phone has been great but I wanted to post about an issue I had with that version to see if anyone else has come across it or can figure out what is going on. The reason I am making this a reply in this thread instead of your other is because I will be flashing this update shortly but I want to get the ball rolling on the issue first.
I went through the whole process, installing the minimum with Google Apps, though I did restore everything previously installed once I log in with my Goggle Account. I am unsure if this contributed to the problem but I will not be restoring apps on the next try. It seems no matter what process I attempt to connect my Ticwatch E to my S7 the Wear OS app will not recognize it which causes the watch to get stuck in the setup phase, making it useless. This was after multiple and different connection attempts, resets, reboots and factory (watch only) restores. The watch will show up under bluetooth and create the initial connection but it will not stay connected. Anyone have any idea? Is this ROM missing something?
Edit: Mid way through the install, I wanted to note that I checked for the issue after doing the "Install Stock Oreo" but before Root and everything worked as it should. Wear OS sees the watch instantly and Bluetooth connects fine.
Edit: So I am a day into using the ROM and I am still having issues. While it will connect and work perfectly fine now, when ever I do a reboot of the phone the watch no longer connects. I will just get constant Bluetooth Connection Requests, every single time the watch tries to get data, and it never actually connects. To fix this I need to do a complete reset of the watch and do the whole setup process again. As you can imagine this is no good, expecting to wipe my watch every time my phone reboots makes it still almost useless.

I believe I know what the issue is, I'm testing a fix (for THIS ROM) as we speak. Stay tuned. Maybe tomorrow if I have time and it works I'll update the OP. BTW, this ROM and my other ROM are TOTALLY different. Thanks for the feedback!

What do you mean by this? "but if you do not pull them, let me know"
And tell me more about Viper4Android, and if it works solid for you on this ROM...then I'll consider adding it. Thanks!
New version, see change log in OP for details.
Yeah i.a give this a shot in a little. Do I need to root phone or can I just flash through Odin. Sorry not used to this locked bootloader crap..... s8crj1 are the last 6 digits of the software I'm on. I did receive the latest update will this effect me installing this. Sorry as I said not used to this locked bootloader crap.

Hi, why you have to flash this - HEROQLTE_USA_VZW.pit on 930t, is it ROM specified? if I do and don't then what are pro and cons?

since bootloader is locked you can't use TWRP so you have to use Flashfire to install this ROM, as you know flashfire required root so you have to setup the base per OP and then root the base then install the ROM and then root it again, read the first page I don't think you will get a instructions more detailed then his
Okay so I just realised I was posting comments on the old thread, my bad. Coming back to the question, can the boot animation be changed? I've messed with the qmg files in an attempt to replace the weird, nauseating rainbow animation but even after overwriting the latter, it persists. Looking forward to a reply kek

Nauseating rainbow? LOL. Sorry. This is much more of a general question though, that wouldn't exactly pertain to this ROM specifically. And given I don't have an answer, I'd try searching BootAnimation How-Tos to get this customized. The ONLY thing I did regarding this was replaced the existing files with the rainbow ones. That's it. Apologies in advance.
Just discovered an issue: RCS (Rich Communication Services / Chat) texts don't show up in Android Messages app. See "Known Issues" in OP for a solution. BTW I posted a new ROM version a few days back that allows many choices in Aroma Installer. Make sure to pick Samsung Messages (instead of Google), so you get RCS chat text messages!

Gear LIve TWRP, Rooted With Magisk - General/Questions 2019

So I just recently came across this watch and have been fiddling with it. I managed to twrp it, unpack the 5.1.1 boot img other day and patch it with magisk and flashed it successfully. There was a little error in magisk manager you could slide by when you first opened it but it showed installed could grant superuser permissions.
The newest updates (6.0.1) and above I guess are using this squashfs scheme for system so it's not mountable. I noticed on the lg watch there was a squashfs doryimg, does anyone have squashfs sprat compatible twrp already anywhere, or can create one quicker than me? Or lead me in the right direction to compile it myself? An update installed on me unrooted me and failed to install, ideas on easiest way to freeze them prefferably adb shell pm uninstall -0 type command? Managed to also magisk patch 6.0.1boot img and flash it successfully get superuser permissions but its not proper doesnt have system permission to change anything much because of squashfs.
Tried DPI Changer is nice. Google Keyboard is good but wish it had an enter button so I can fiully type in jackpal terminal spaces that require an enter key. Will maybe try hackers keyboard(tried swype, gboard, minuum on 5.1.1 no dice). Google Analog draw keyboard zip kind of nice but annoying to type with. Es File Explorer pro size render disallowed looking at others app menu beside users. Es File Explorer worked to uninstall on 6.0.1 but not 5.1.1 had to go to go to data/ app to uninstall on 5.1.1. Could not install apk from device. Have been having to use adb install and push commands to get most files on the watch. Chrome apk latest works. I'd like to stay at 5.1.1 to maintain proper magisk/ twrp solely because of lack of squashfs support. Anyway to update google play service (1.1 to android 1.3 or 1.5) without updating version or install real playstore? Tried remote desktop/ gmail but only thing stopping me was I am unable to login to a google account on device because there is no account section in settings. Tried several app versions, shortcuts, workarounds no luck but lmk if you were able to.
Used rootjunky restore tool v2 to restore stock 4.4 it works well. V3 wouldn't recognize my almost bricked device but V2 would. OTA back from 4.4 is super annoying tho adb doesnt work says unauthorized until 5.1.1 doesnt give key doesnt pop up. Adb sideload is friend. There is not another boot img until 6.0.1 so had to apply patch updates then unpack/ repack. Had issues with backups not restoring root somehow. https://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Gear_Live couldnt find anything newer besides one reddit post. first 6.0.1 update is twrp flashable.
well thats about all for now when I reupgrade I'll try and upload 5.1.1 magisk root if nothing changes. Thank you kindly Feel free to chime in if you still have this device, what worked for you., any tips, :good:
Still looking??
Sorry, I can't help you....... The gear live support just keeps getting less..... Well, it IS five years old after all...
Anyhow, I still have mine an love it. I read you were able to get TWRP on it successfully.
I can flash TWRP to the Gear Live just fine, but as soon as I reboot normally, the stock software replaces TWRP with the original recovery.
Supposedly, TWRP has a patching feature built in, but I've not been able to make it work.
SO....... Do you have any ideas why mine would not be working??
Thanks
Boowho??
