Is there a mod, application or something that allows for a oversampling in the photos of Z3, as in the Lumia 1020?

Superior Auto mode already does this (as well as when using 8MP in manual mode), however the result is less sharp than on the lumia 1020, because the difference between the sensor's full resolution and the downsampled resolution is far smaller with the z3c. 20.7 MP downsampled to 8 MP compared to 38 MP downsampled to 5 MP.

It's not mainly because of the difference in camera sensor. Sony's implementation isn't even on par with the Lumia 930 which has similar MP and sensor size (the 930 is smaller). They really need to work on the SW for the camera.
Say "cheese", then rate this thread to express how photos taken with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro come out. A higher rating indicates that photos offer rich color (without over-saturating), sharp detail (with all subjects in-focus), and appropriate exposure (with even lighting).
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I'm really happy with the photo quality on this phone, it's pretty good for the price (and in case anyone is wondering, yes, it's better than the Note 5 Pro). I'm satisfied with it but I still can't wait for someone to bring the Pixel Camera to this device, I'm sure it could improve the picture quality even more.
Photo Quality after latest update to 10.0.5 is reduced a lot...
Is there any solution on this?

Are you sure about this? To which version are you comparing this to?

I don't know about teh software upgrade, but if you look at the review of the Note 6 Pro in GSM Arena, go to 5.Camera and open the "photo compare tool", and select the Redmi Note 5 AI for comparison, the picture quality is much better than the Note 6.
The camera is supposed to be the same, but Note 6 seems to have excessive noise reduction and much less detail.
Anybody knows why?

I'm running latest MIUI software versions and the daylight quality shots with stock camera is excellent.
The night shot quality could be improved when compared with GCam.
Regards,
Photo quality is good, but I do not see as many details as with my previous J7 2015 (when I zoom in). But the overall image quality is much better (real colors, good lighting) .
I am disappointed with the camera cause the Mi A2 has better camera.

Hi
I have enabled cam2api with root (magisk) on a custom ROM (lineageos 17) and I cannot find a camera app that uses the full capacity of the phone cameras. I only get one 12MP on the rear camera and one 5MP on the front camera. I used gcam, open cam, lineageos snap...
Normally (on stock MIUI) it's a dual 12MP and 5MP cameras on the front and dual 20MP and 2MP cameras on the rear.
Does anyone know how to get the full capacity of the phone's cameras without going back to MIUI global ?

I think you said it otherwise: RN6Pro has on front a 20MP main and 2MP lens to depth and on rear, 12MP and 5MP lens.
I am using the Official 20200602 Lineage OS build and i can take photos with:
- The snap camera on rear can be shot with 20MP resolution and the front with 5MP.
- The Miui flashalble zip camera for android 10 can reach full resolution, but lack of front camera on manual mode.

Hi, I also have the official lineageos and tried to flash the canera after mounting system and vendor in TWRP but the app doesn't work. I don't know where I went wrong
*EDIT*
Actually it's working, I had to authorise access to camera in the properties
I'm still using the stock camera on stock ROM. Couldn't enable api2 as any attempts to unlock my bootloader have failed. I like the photo quality better than my wife's new 9 Pro Max. MP difference aside, there is less visible noise in 6 pro vis-a-vis 9 Pro Max. Same applies to selfie camera as well.
However, I do like the macro camera of 9 Pro max, and wish there was night mode on 6 Pro as well. Mi could just enable camera 2 API out of the box, but chooses not to for some reason.
Redmi note 6 pro image quality
The image quality is quite good. In this low budget price range Note 6 pro giving such good quality images. But after the latest update, the image quality is reduced. Idk it only happens to me or every Redmi Note 6 pro user will face this issue!!
The Galaxy S10 Plus is Samsung's new 'everything device' for 2019, disturbing the equivalence of the last barely any ages of handsets. Its 6.4-inch screen is so huge it uproots the front camera, while its triple-focal point back camera can take ultra-wide photographs. Concealed advantages like an in-screen unique mark sensor and Wireless PowerShare offer a lot of clever highlights – simply know Samsung is requesting a ton of cash, as well.
Why you should purchase like me Samsung Galaxy S10 in addition to is this more prominent than Samsung Galaxy S9 in addition to?
The new highlights presented in the Galaxy Note 10 territory may have made the S10 territory feel somewhat obsolete, yet that won't be the situation for any longer. On September 23, Samsung will be porting some of the Note 10's best new highlights to the Galaxy S10 plus territory, including AR Doodle, Live Focus Video, the refreshed Samsung Dex work area mode, and that's only the tip of the iceberg.
First of all, I’ll give you key features on Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus
6.4’’ inches Dynamic Amoled punch hole full view display and 93.2% screen to body ratio.
There has superior chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon SDM855 7nm chipset
Octa-core 2.73Ghz *2 clockwise speed.
Internal storage can get in 128GB / 8GB RAM, 512GB / 8GB RAM, 1TB / 12GB RAM
Selfie camera 10 MP, (wide), Dual Pixel PDAF
8 MP, (wide), depth sensor
Main Camera 12 MP, f/1.5-2.4, 26mm (wide), 1/2.55", 1.4µm, Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS
12 MP, f/2.4, 52mm (telephoto), 1/3.6", 1.0µm, AF, OIS, 2x optical zoom
16 MP, f/2.2, 12mm (ultrawide), 1.0µm, Super Steady video
AKG Dolby Atmos sound
Li-ion 4100 MAh battery with 15W fast charging
I got more compatibility with s10 plus except for S10
The S10 territory's as of now fit camera is certainly getting the greatest lift, with included highlights from the Note 10 including the Live Focus Video that foggy spots foundations around a subject, and the fiendish AR Doodle that gives you a chance to draw on faces in enlarged reality — but at the same time it's getting a Night Mode for the forward-looking camera, upgraded video adjustment, and the Note 10's video editorial manager.
Hi all, I have the chance to get the P30 Pro for a bargain price but I am wondering if it would be better than my Pixel 3 XL that I owned for almost an year now. I am mostly tempted by the better battery and RAM but I am worried that I wont like the quality of pictures from the P30 Pro as much as the Pixel's ones. Did anyone make the change from Pixel 3 XL to P30 Pro? If so, do you find the P30 Pro a better phone? Thank you.
Okay, the P30 Pro is way better in almost every aspect. That's for the camera and the rest of the phone too. Main camera has almost double the sensor size. So you'll get better images in the dark without night mode. Plus you have super wide angle (16mm full frame) and Tele (135 mm full frame) which is missing with the Pixel. The only aspect which is better in Pixel Cams is the Selfie Cam. Please check dxo smartphone: Pixel 3 is 20th place with 103 points regarding photo, P30 Pro is 6th place with 125 photo points. The P30 Pro is one of the Top Smartphones in 2019. Pixel 3 is a device of yesterday, sorry.

Thank you for your input.
I take many pictures (that's why I both P40 pro ) but what strikes me is a difference in specific cameras usage pattern between them

I used on P30 pro wyde camera a lot while here more then 50% is telephoto - because tele on P30 was bad and wyde was great while on P40 pro wide is nothing special and very different color-wise from others? while tele thou far from perfect is Very usable for flowers (now is spring)
