Does anyone use the Trickster Mod app on stock kernel? I have the donate version and i take advantage of the charging LED light. If so what, if any tweaks did you try? I also use the multi core power save tweak set a 2. For anyone that may know, would using titanium backup to convert Trickster Mod to a system app have any advantages?
Doubtful. AFAIK Trickster mod just makes the changes at startup, it doesn't need to run all the time.
BTW I have both enabled, the multi core power saver and mp-decision.
Cool to know it works with the stock kernel. Is there a noticable difference in performance and does it give you better battery life?

It's tough for me to say if it gives better battery life due to a lot of changes in settings, e.g. greenify, app permissions etc working in connection. I will say it doesn't hurt. When my phone is asleep I lose about 1 to 1.5 percent per hour which is okay with me. Performance is fine for my needs. Plus I like the LED feature to know when my phone is charge by the status of the green light without having to psychically unlock the MX and check. But to say how much of a difference is hard to tell without setting everything else back to default and just using Trickster.
Every time I go to the Play Store to look for a battery app, I'm inundated with tons & tons of battery widgets that just show you how much battery you have remaining.
I'm looking for more specifics. Like what app and wakelock is draining battery.
Right now I use:
1) All in one Toolbox: Easy to view interface that shows me how much battery percentage each running app is using up.
2) CPU Spy: Shows me how much sleep time I'm getting the moment I open the app. Very limited but it's always the first app I open.
3) BetterBattery: Shows me all the Kernel and Partial wakelocks. Also shows sleep time and data usage. This would be the best ever app if it had a different interface and also gave info on app battery usage like All in One Toolbox does.
So what are your favorite apps and why do you like it?
BBS or Wakelock Detector. If it doesn't show wakelocks, it's useless.
Wakelock detector or gsam battery monitor. Both have good ui and easy to use.

Both of those apps look very interesting. And possibly better than BBS. Thanks for the heads up. :good:

Your stats say that the screen was on for 39.27hrs and consumed 829% battery.
That boils down to 39.27/8.29 hrs = 4.737032569360676 hrs or 4hrs 44min
Also, screen on active drain suggests 21.11 % per hour drop which equates to yet again 4.73hrs or 4hrs 44min.
And you seem to have forgotten that you have charged the phone from or done something to the battery in the second screenshot that made the level rise from about ~20% to ~75%.

Both are different stats the ROM one is the original the second one is showing the whole month on ex kernel manager and yes I am not bluffing that I get 7hrs on screen time on NEXUS 5 give a shot of u won't to
See, I also run EX 6.16 with a -50mV UV and that gets me about 4-4.5hrs SOT on one full charge over a span of 16-18hrs with WiFi connectivity 80% of the time.
The only battery related MOD you have done is to set the thermal throttling profile to extra cool (which sets the freq. and voltages to a lower value if the CPU temps rise to even moderate values; this keeps the device cool at the cost of perf.)
This MOD alone wont fetch 7hr SOT with normal use on a 2300mAH Nexus 5 unless you set the device to stay awake with the screen on with medium brightness and stare at it doing nothing.
hello bra thx for this ROM and mods
i love it but i have problem with change icon ???
and select EX kernel manager- gpu-thermal throttling -stock not want to select extra cool ??? why

Extra cool keeps ur main processes running and doesn't let crappy ones run in background and stops ur phone from heating up! And its very useful for battery saving... And I was using polygon icon from play store! So download that if u wnt ...

Intelli3G (with Xposed framework)
Kernel Adiutor (or other kernel tweaking app to underclock your CPUs when calculating power is not needed)
I recently installed RR rom on my device and I find that adaptive battery is missing from battery section. this is causing too much battery drain in system coz adaptive battery helped a lot in stock. So can devlopers bring that in RR and other custom roms. @akshayakakat , please check your inbox I messaged you about it but I got no response from yours . Got a faith in you man

the battery manager comes by default in android 9, I guess all the roms based on 9 are integrated, you'll have to look for it better. In PE and HAVOC it is in settings / battery / battery manager

Yes it's there in my rom too. So the battery manager and adaptive battery is same. I don't think so. because battery manager stops apps which consume more battery but adaptive battery hibernates apps.which aren't being used frequently. It's more like greenify .
