[Q] Gingerbread 2.3.4 on SCH-I800 (Verizon)?

I did a search and was unable to find information on flashing stock Gingerbread 2.3.4 for the Verizon Galaxy Tab 7 (SCH-I800). Is this possible, and with root?
I would love to get a more stable build onto this machine. It crashes alot. also something more responsive would be great too Now that its out for the Sprint Vs. Does that mean its possible to get it on ours?
There hasn't been an official release of Gingerbread for the Samsung Galaxy Tab SCI-I800 (Verizon model). I'm getting very, very impatient and annoyed by it too, especially not that the Sprint model (VERY similar to ours) has already gotten that upgrade and we're still waiting without any details about when to expect it to come to us. VERY annoyed.
Flash the Sprint version that's rooted on here.
Hell, how can one root first?
I have tried NUMEROUS methods at rooting my Galaxy Tab, just to try and get the bloatware off of my device in hopes at making it work smoother, but that didn't work. Anyone, ANYONE, know a fool proof method at rooting the VZW Galaxy Tab 7? z4root, gingerbreak, etc, all didn't work. Ended up having to reset my device just to correct most major issues that the failed root attempts created.

Just rerooted mine (my original z4root stopped working after the last update) and after combing through who knows how many posts and methods, I got it to work with version 1.7 of superoneclick. For some reason 1.9 would get stuck in the middle, but 1.7 had no problem. Good luck.
Can we really just flash the Sprint version? That won't break anything?
Thanks!
It will not connect to 3G but it works fine on wifi. I have been running it for 3 weeks.
Awesome... I don't use 3G anyhow. Thanks a bunch!
I got my tab finally rooted. Now need to have fun!

There's also a leaked VZW stock rooted 2.3.4 in the dev section...
That stock vzw rom... Is it stable?

Why would a stock rom not be stable? Besides the thread is several pages long with folks posting their experiences, me included.
It is very stable, with all the bloat and everything. Suggest BTL Confidence & Paranoia v01 if you dont want any of the bloat. Stable with some minor bugs.
yes the BTL confidence and paranoia is a great rom, I have the sch-i800 verizon model too.
looks like i missed the boat on that one.

Use SuperOneClick.
Make sure you have USB debugging on.
Super no click for GB
Unfortunatly I have tried super 1 click 2.3.3 (with debug on and sd card out) and it dosen't work on the I800 2.3.5
I am going to try cubed 3.
all this just so i can use a six axis controller....

galaxy tab not responding at times

Hello, i have my tab for quite a while now and I've been having this issue for months now, at first it didnt bother me but at times it gets frustrating. The thing is whenever I am using my tab, suddenly the tab doesn't respond(particularly the touch screen) and I have to lock the tab and unlock it in order to fix it. I had this issue when i was in stock 2.2 then upgraded to stock 2.3 and still had the issue. I Decided to flash with overcome 4.0 and still the issue is there, I hope someone can help me with this..
Theres a new rom out called icontact its really good and better thsm factory.im on the sprint gt so not much for me to choose from

can you give me the link and instruction to install the rom? thanks
If you have upgraded and tried some custom ROMs and are still having these issues, I would look into faulty hardware.
But if you want to try another ROM and have a CDMA(VZW) GT check out this custom ROM. Runs smooth and is stable and pre-rooted.

Gear vr distortion images

I have a t-mobile s6 running sickness rom on oh6 firmware. . 5.1.1..
Using unikernel. .my phone screen flickers when I attach to great vr..then blacks out then finally bring me to home screen. .but you can tell something is wrong with the images inside very distorted and very pixilated especially blacks n reds n greens.. happens when watching a movie..or just looking around in the theater just something is wrong..I want to know if it's my phone or the headset itself is defective. .some one please help.

Why not backup your current rom and flash a stock s6 rom to see if the problem still exist. It might be be rom u installed does not support the gear vr..

I tried that..but when I flash a new stock rom via odin..it doesn't boot past s6 screen..i have to flash a 3rd party kernel for it to boot.. also I tried a friend's s6 edge last nite n it worked perfectly on my gear vr no distortion. .but he is completely stock... .I think it's might be kernel related..I would love a stock rooted kernel if possible or just the stock kernel. .I can flash.. Idk whats wrong or what can be causing this not to boot on stock firmware. .

i know it's a little late but when you flash a stock rom try to do a factory reset, Then it'll get past the logo screen

Fake Samsung Galaxy Note 5

So I recently bought a note 5 thought it was real then notice it was a fake note 5. My question is can you install a custom rom on it? I already got it rooted but I'm having problems install twrp or any other recovery software. I have no use for the phone I just want to experiment with roms etc on the phone.
What is a fake? Please show us some detailed pictures

The phone is a counterfeit phone which is made in china. It's not a real phone made by samsung. I'm trying to install a custom rom but when I do i just reboots and never goes into recovery.
if it's a fake phone then you have to find the rom compatible for it and not use a custom rom made for the real one.

Yes you can but you will need to find fake custom rom to install on this phone. ??

Verizion Note 4 to Tmobile

I just swapped from Verizon to T-Mobile.
The phone (SN-910V) works fine with the T-Mobile sim.
Is there any way to update to the T-Mobile ROM to get the standard T-Mobile features (like wifi calling)?
And while I'm asking, is there a marshmallow update?
I don't see a cyanogenmod for the SN-910V, but i do see one for the SN-910T. Is that compatible? (i.e. is the hardware different between the two?)
Thanks!
There isn't a Tmo MM update yet. Unfortunately, even if there was, it wouldn't be compatible with your phone. You need a Tmo port to your phone. You'll have to check the Verizon Note 4 forums for that.

There is a verizon MM for your phone though. You just need to Odin the file or put in a Verizon Sim to update OTA.

I still have a SM-N910T and a N910V, which I got yesterday for $170. I updated the N910V to MM and it's basically Lollipop with changed icons from MM for the S6/S7. It still has the same TouchWiz and it stuttered right after the update. I have a jacked up S6 Edge on T-Mobile and it runs faster even though the phone was dropped and glass cracked. I really did not see he benefit to update but for the N910V it does get LTE on T-Mobile . Of all the Note series, Samsung purposely gimped the Note 4 after 4.4.4 to sell the Note 5 and it's missing hardware features. I can attest to this as I have owned every note except the Note 3, but I have worked on that phone so much it still wasn't gimped to sell the Note 4 as bad as what they did to the Note 4 to sell the Note 5. Samsung is the worst at times.

Yes. I did this to two Verizon note 4s as soon as their bootloader was unlocked. Go to the verizon note 4 xda section and unlock the bootloader if you havent already and the flash twrp to your phone.
My steps were as follows: unlock bootloader. Root with kingroot. Flash twrp with Flashify app. Then wiped data, system, cache, and dalvik and installed stock tmobile rom zip file (dok2). Everything works perfectly. Wifi calling and all. I think I installed the beastmode kernel too. This was months ago so i dont remember exactly.
You can find the exact zip file i used if you copy paste N910T3UVU1DOK2_stock_rooted_busybox_odex.zip to google. Click first link. Should give you option for deodexed and odexed versions of the rom. I installed the odexed version.
hope this helps.
