I was thinking this since zuk z1 and one plus one are similar devices we could port roms from the one plus one thread to here!!

Hello,
First of all, allow me to indroduce myself. My name is Michael, and I have made some contributions to the XDA scene two years ago in the Xperia Mini Pro forums. I ported HTC Sense and Cyanogenmod 7 to that device and was the first to start the real development for that device.
With that said, I have retired for two years and have lost track of the developments. Anyway, on to my question:
Is it possible to port the HTC DNA / Butterfly J rom over to the Xperia Z?
Looking at the specifications, both devices feature a Qualcomm S4 Pro chipset, and a Adreno 320 GPU, empowering a screen with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels.
Technically, this was the requirement to port a HTC Sense rom back in the days, a matching CPU, GPU and screen size. I do not know if this has changed.
My main reason for this question is that, if we can get the HTC DNA rom booting on the Xperia Z, we could also get the ported HTC One for the HTC DNA rom working on our phone, and enjoy Sense 5 (Minus Zoë)
I am looking forward to a reply from any skilled developer!
this indeed looks very interesting
if i recall correctly sense has been ported to several devices like the gnex and S2
i wouldnt mind trying sense on my xperia z :3

Hey, good to see someone from the past
I already have the device, but porting is a pain in the you know what.
(Sense is not as easy to port anymore, + I have zero experience in kernel modifications.)
Having sense would be great.
Hope you can do it.
I can help for tests if you want

First of all, thanks for the thread. I have already tried a similar approach, but the problem is that HTC Sense 5 will not boot with these minor modifications to the kernel. I have to make more advanced customizations, of which I do not have the knowledge yet. I will try to contact the developer of the port for the Sony Xperia Arc, and it's fingers crossed that he'll be willing to help me out
Hey guys,
my HTC One X just died about a day ago. Since the insurance also just ran out I need a new phone.
After some googling, researching and calculating I only got two phones left I consider to buy.
On the one hand the HTC One and on the other hand the Xperia Z1. (Nexus Devices sadly aren't an option for me )
Since the look and feel of the Z1 is in my opinion superior to the HTC Ones this point goes to the Z1.
In my country (and maybe in other coutries too) the HTC One is the cheaper one so this point goes to the HTC One.
Since it's now a draw I need to find some help and information to the "custom-rom-abilities" of the two devices.
So what are your experiences? Is the "custom-rom-handling and stuff" easy on the Z1? (On my HOX it was easy as ... idk ^^)
And how is the support? Do the big custom roms officially support the Z1? (Like CM, AOSPA, PAC, Slim ....)
And what about the sony support by the way? Do they often update the device?
Maybe you have some more informations on the devices you could tell me.
Thanks in advance.
Greetings .K'
If you want custom roms on your phone then go for HTC, there is no compare to Sony in developing Custom Roms. Just look at the section in HTC One and the one for Sony Z1, no need to ask this questions. BTW, Sony release updates frequently but flashing custom roms on Z1 is not very friendly at the moment, then is just up to you. Look for quality of the phone.
Hello everyone,I am ready to buy Xperia SP but I want to know some things first.
1.How good is the camera-screen??
2.Does OTG and MHL work like stock ROMS in CM11??
3.Are there any major bugs in CyanogenMod ROMs which will never be fixed??
4.Does the phone has problems with hardware??
Please answer as many questions as you can!
Why are buying xperia sp? I committed the biggest mistake of my life when I bought SP a few months ago. Sony has abandoned SP. I suggest you to buy Moto G 2014. I bought it for my sister and its amazing.

1. Auto focus is cr*p. But It can sometimes take very good photos. Right now I'm using cm 11s camera app and It's quite good.
3. No, everything works well.
4. No.

Since sony has abandoned SP. The unofficial support is rather limited as there are no sources. On the other hand, moto G will get better support as motorola is already officially releasing lollipop and would probably upgrade moto g to atleast one more android upgrade.
New official update => Official Kernel source and Binaries and libraries => Better custom rom support
also custom rom support is coming to the end too, KK roms are being finalized and cm12 for daily usage is vague.
anyway, with PAC 4.4.4 phone is good, no bugs. For cm11 I experience random reboots, nav bar lag tho.
Getting an official version of AOSPA would be really unlikely to happen but do you guys think we should get unofficial port of it ?
Since the One Plus One has his own official ROM, and these devices aren't too different specs-wise, it shouldn't be too difficult to port to our device right ?
Really hoping to see AOSPA comming for Moto X 2014 Have a nice day
Was also hoping someone would port it over if it was possible. Loved using that ROM back in my Nexus 4 days.

I wanted to install a custom ROM but im not sure wich one is compatible with my phone because there are some Pro and some Plus but my phone does not say Pro or Plus, just Zuk Z2 (Z2131 on the box) and im a little confused.
yours is z2 plus not pro there's a forum for that phone on XDA with a lot more roms
