The first thing I think you should fix is limit thermal I hope I will send you my logs soon but in this time my thermal is arounding 90 degree ... too hot
my problem:
1. Double assess point
2. Supend when i use headphone and got a comming call
3. super hot when do some normal task
4. i must disable double taps to wake in kernel because when i hold my phone in my pocket it have a issue with swipe to unlock
5. anything else is ok :3 love u @Chippa
OK, been using this for some time. I can say that this is waaaay better than 6.0 was on the first day. No lag or battery drain on standby, very good. Root also works, haven't checked supersu. There are some bugs here, 1 is major (or I'm doing something wrong):
Can't install any apk, it says "An error was detected. Operation was unsuccessful".
Other than stock file manager, none can detect external sd. Edit: Seems like only ES can't detect it Edit2: Seems like some can detect it some not, Root Browser also can't detect.
Pulling down notification bar from right side doesn't fully expand it.
There is double entry for APN in Cellular network settings.
When you tap Status bar icons in Status bar settings, there is FC, also "battery status style" and "battery percentage" doesn't do anything.
There is bug in trebuchet, see screenshot attached. Not present in other launchers.
No option for advanced reboot in Developer options.
Thumbs up
Rom is so smooth with good performance.
Only have a few bugs
Some of them are
Status bar tweeks not working
When turn on battery power saver, it will change the colour of status bar and navigation bar
password visibility option for the lockscreen not working

Bugs i encountered were:

play services crash every 3 secs
I installed CM14 with 7.0 gapps using the twrp-3.0.2-0-yuga.img
But it doesn't boot to system, it goes back to TWRP
Any suggestions?
Formatted system, cache and data prior to flashing CM14
You can Xtract Boot.img from Rom and flashing via fastboot .Then Boot in to Recovery and flash Rom After this you can usw twrp Manger vor flashing twrp 3.0.2.0

There our three methods (That may work) to try if it does not want to flash in twrp they our
1. Unmount system then flash
2. Factory Reset, reboot to recovery again then flash
3. Flash CWM and in this case try flashing a alt kernel
Edit: Windy is up

Installed with no problem using TWRP 2.6.3.0 :good:
Backed up using TWRP (Was running PAC ROM android 4.3)
Factory wipe, + wipe Dalvik & cache to be sure.
Flashed LiquidSmooth
Wipe Dalvik & cache again - just incase
Reboot - no problem - running LiquidSmooth
I'm now going to flash the provided Slim Gapps zip. Will report back if there's a problem
Testing beta
I will flash this rom also once i'm off work. Thanks for bringing this to the tab Z!
I am curious about this rom. Does it have double tap to wake?
Not yet or i didnt see where to activate it...but double tap status bar to sleep yes
SplitView aka multiwindow is working perfect...only Pie; i had to reboot to get it work.
And getting some fc's here and there...will bring back logcats tomorrow

How about looking 2 posts before?
So far this ROM is working excellent on Pollux in Dalvik.
Been using for two days for a total of around 24 hours and not had a single major problem. Very impressed its the slickest ROM I have used yet on 4.4.
I was using cm11 fidelity, then got a random reboot halfway through a game and got stuck in bootloop so thought I'd give this a try.
For anyone having issues, I had flashed cm11 fidelity inc mods then booted into CWM, didn't reflash kernel from laptop (no access at minute) just factory reset and wiped cache and dalvik cache.
Not major but once orr twice on MX player had the common sound bug, where the sound seems to stall for half a second, didn't have this on fidelity but had it on every other 4.4 ROM. One other issue is if you get a notification with headphones in, it still plays through loudspeakers too.
Very well done with this ROM guys thank you.
I dirty flashed it and i dont know why people says to modify first post i got it first try and apparently im not the one...
Well, someone else having trouble to mount SD?
I tried then a clean install and same thing, and also tried it with omni kernel...same thing, also no sd access from rom.

Works well for me, I can transfer any files to the internal memory and sd.
Have you tried to turn on debug USB?
In this rom missing some functions, you can not choose the type of connection, missing the performance menu and you can not change the toggle.
We hope that you can add in the next build

Please try manually configuring your mobile data. That might do the trick. what do you mean by speaking 3d?
Update: Battery drains a bit. Overnight ( 7-8 hours) I lost 11% battery.
Also once, when unlocking the phone, it became sluggishly slow(as if both cores were running at some 100 MHz). Drawing the pattern and unlocking took some 40 seconds, and everything on my homescreen was gone and wallpaper was black. And it was lagging incredibly.
So I flashed Bauner's Kernel, coz it has the freeze/reboot issue solved. But after flashing it,the phone did not boot at all.
What might the problem be? Back to RR 5.4.7 right now.

Regarding the Bootloop issue on some devices
It's a known issue (the bootloop), which has something to do with the variation of chipset. Most of you guys are probably informed about what this issue is and what causes it (Semcosh/Murata saga). My best guess is it's caused by the kernel, so I'll try building the CM kernel for Tesla and see if that helps with the bootloop issue

Oh my god I linked it wrong, sorry
Been waiting for a ROM from your side. Here it is!
Bootloops within 2-3 seconds after bootanimation. Wiped all, yellow twrp 3. Restoring old CM KK backup went ok!
@Gokulbalram: thank you veeery much for AOSP-MM. Here my notes:
+ boots fine
- 15-20 apps are optimized at every boot
- contains no Launcher, installed one in TWRP-terminal
+ QS-layout very fine
+ wifi, BT, GPS are working fine
- settings for key illumination and color of date&time don't survive a reboot
- text unsharp when lowering brightness by ScreenFilter
- long tap keys with dark symmetry: advanced keys without visible focus
- dark theme not perfect yet: some details are unvisible (setting icon of clock app), setting of switches unclear
- camera: not-connect-error (Snap & OpenCamera FCs)
+ ES restores app settings perfectly (1st time on MM)
Looking further for battery life...
@rp158, Thanks for the feedback.
I'm aware of the launcher issue, it wasn't compiling whilst building, so I had to chuck it.
As for Camera, could you tell me if the SIM works? Thanks.

Yes. I had to choose CDMA=automatic. No idea, what it is
SIM-lock not tested.
Still one minor: wake up by back/menu is offered, but cannot work. Better delete. Wake up by volume buttons works sometimes.
If you need a launcher: I took SlimKauncher 1.0.
Hi. If i dirty flash this over cm13 it partially works. Like it stays on ANDROID animation for very long time. On clean flash it was on that animation for 5 sec. I know it's chip related, but is there any way to boot it up?
---------- Post added at 02:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:17 PM ----------
OK. for all that have bootloop do these steps:
1.Wipe system data cache and dalvik cache
2.Install cm13 zip from cm website and reboot
3.let it stay on bootanimation for 15 sec.
4.Take the battery out and wait 10 sec.
5 Insert the battery and boot into recovery
6.Wipe only system
7.Install tesla rom and gapps.
It should boot
(OPTIONAL) IF you want launcher, download nova launcher or any other launcher apk and place it in sdcard. In twrp open file manager and copy it to /system/app. Click on it and select chmod 755
reboot and all is working

Considering the various amount of feedback I've heard (from the bootlooping users), I'm really confused as to what exactly happens. Could anybody with this issue record what exactly happens when one clean flashes an AOSP ROM?
I've had to use method i written above to boot haxynox aosp 6.0
AOSP bootloops after flashing. How to check what chipset do i have?
Rom is fast and smooth, and i love RRO layers support. Thanks for the rom

@Gokulbalram, perhaps it helps: although flash&boot succeed, I see some unusual behaviour:
1. TWRP 3.002 showes during flash
Code:
...
Flashing SuperSU ...
mount failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p9 at /system: Device or resource busy
unmount of /system failed: no such volume
script succeeded: result was [ ]
2. At every boot 15/65 or 20/70 user&system-apps are optimized.
-----
Torch stops after 1s (camera related?).

SlimM for MT6582 is an aftermarket ROM made by the best in the class devs who prefer simplicity in their work. Hence, the name Slim. SlimROM for MT6582 is based on Google AOSP and it tries to keep it as stock as possible without much features which normal users don't want to use. Thus, creating a powerful ROM which packs a punch of performance, battery life and simplicity. Definitely recommended for for people who don't want much features from their ROM but just want simplicity and performance. You can use layers in this ROM as all AOSP 6.0.1 ROMs support layers but layers manager is not added by default, you can download "Layers Manager" app from play store in order to use layers. Unless we build the rom from source, it would be impossible to fix it.
For now you can use xposed module "Screen Off Animation"

Thanks for everything you are doing for us. The only thing that keeps me on Stock, after using these custom rom's, is wifi stability. Wifi keeps dropping frequently, can't find any solution on google to get the wifi stability in custom roms, may be our device problem, or may be because rom is ported and not fully made for this device, i don't know, but still custom roms has a very good memory management feature.
I will try when you upload the RR 5.7.4
Thanks again.

AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

Hi,
I have a few questions:
1: Does this work on any P9 Lite variant (i have VNS-L21)?
2: Why is archive so big (almost 700mb)?
3: What Open Gapps package do you recommend to flash?
Tnx

1. Yeah,I declared the L"X"1 value to say that it is compatible with both L31 and L21.
2. AICP is "fatter" than CM since it has extra features,so no reason to panic. :silly:
3.I personally use the Pico package and then just install other Google apps which I need. That is the beauty of Open Gapps, you have several options.

@The Marionette thanks for this amazing work. There is some possibility that you can support the VNS-L23 variant? It is practically equal to the L31, with the only differences that do not have NFC support, the bands 4G are different and it has 2GB of RAM. Greetings.
Hey @The Marionette,
I flashed the ROM and i got error that data partition could not be mounted and then when i click to boot in to android the phone boots but it ask for password to start android...

Did you follow the instructions or did you do it your own way?
Are you coming from stock?
I think everyone needs to be on CM before flashing.
I flashed it exactly like I described and it booted.
The only downside is that the TWRP goes red(thinks the current ROM is stock) and data can't be mounted. I will look into it.

I followed Meticulus instructions first (did all backups and dump) and then i followed your instructions from OP but i come from stock rom, did not try to install Meticulus CM ROM... So now i managed to get past password screen by formating data partition to FAT and then formating it back to ext4 but now when phone boot i get "Decryption unsuccessful" screen and when i click "reset phone" button it reboots in recovery, wipe cache and then boots up back to "Decryption unsuccessful" screen...
I am downloading now Meticulus build to try with that... Will report back soon...
EDIT: I managed to boot AICP!!! By doing this:
First i updated recovery (did not see that Meticulus pushed V2) then i flashed Meticulus CM build but i got "Decryption failed" screen again but this time when i clicked "reset phone" buton the phone just rebooted to TWRP.
Then i did again full harcore wipe and flashed CM with open gapps and the phone booted in to system without problem, from that point i figure that AICP must work now so i rebooted back to TWRP, did another hardcore full wipe, flashed AICP with Open Gapps micro ARM64 version and the phone finaly booted to AICP
Btw i noticed few thing while doing all this... When i first booted CM my SIM card was not recognized but i figured it needs some time to get the signal or wathever but that never hapend and i cheked camera app and in setting of the app i saw that front and back camera was set to full resolution and the photo i took was really in full (13Mpix) resolution... After checking that and few more things i flashed AICP and at first boot my SIM still not working so i figure i will reboot and after second boot the SIM works again but in this ROM front and back camera are set to 2.1mpix (not a problem for me, just saying for ppl to know)...
Now i am going to play with this awesome ROM!
Thanks @The Marionette
EDIT 2: So after few hours of playing with AICP i been forced to go back to stock because my mobile network gone crazy, every 5-10 minutes it disapear and only reboot helps to get connected again and when network disapears the UI get so much lag that is almost unusable...
I can confirm that other things in ROM work as it should, fingerprint, themes, sound bar, navigation bar customization, lcd density, UI animations customizations etc...
Nice work and keep up the good work! ?
So I am running this ROM on my device since yesterday and I really like it. Seems very stable and allows for a lot of modifications.
It drains a lot of battery while listening to music when the device is locked but I also experienced this on the CM ROM.
I am keeping it on my device for now and am looking forward to new updates
Hello @The Marionette,
May I ask you if you plan to update the AICP ROM with the update from CM? Thank you
