Problem with DNG (raw) photo - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone. I bought a Huawei P9 in May, mostly because of its camera. I found out that was possible to take pictures in raw,and found that cool. But the problem is that every time, the dng file is damaged. I wish I could post the image here but forum doesn't allow me. The image is In a bad quality and with lines over it,white and color lines. Any idea of what the problem is, and how can I solve it?

Camera problem (again)

A few months ago there was a number of threads about the problems with the HTC Alpine camera, and someone found that there was a fundamental hardware fault which causes alternate lines in the picture to be swapped, thus the appalling quality of the pictures.
I also recall someone posting a small program (or a link to it) which would take an afflicted BMP file and correct this problem, but despite searching the forum I have failed to find it.
Would anyone be so kind as to remind me where to find this program, or is there another solution to this fault?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I tried one of the ROM images kindly provided, but the problem with the line-swapping on the pictures is still there.
In deperation I spent ages searching my very disorganised PC for that little program I found on xdadevelopers which swaps alternate lines and thus restores the pictures to the glory that HTC's abysmal engineering deprives them of.
Eventually I found it. It is called BMPChop.exe. It is a command line program to run on a PC, which swaps alternate lines then compresses the BMP file into JPEG, with the chosen compression level. The pictures look so much better once this has been done!
If anyone is interested, I can post it on this forum again (which is where I originally got it from).
But going back to the supposed camera-fixed ROM images, what has been changed other than removing the o2 camera patch? Has the ROM's author added his own patch to fix the line-swapping problem? It's just that I didn't find any improvement when using this ROM.
cheers
I would be interested to try the programme if you could post it on the forum, thanks.
Here it is:
many thanks. 8)
To be honest I can't see a difference between the 2. I took a picture with just a plain BMP file, converted it using the BMPChop and compared it with the new file and couldn't see a difference.
What command line are you supposed to use?
I used "BMPChop filename.bmp /100". The /100 sets highest JPEG quality. I have tried lower values but there is an obvious loss of quality.
The improvement in picture quality after running this program should be quite obvious, especially on diagonal edges and other line details, such as spectacle frames, which look jagged in the original images, especially if you zoom in a bit.

Blue lines in camera mode

Hi,
When I want to take pictures with the Kaiser, I have two small blue lines in the viewer. Those lines show in the pictures as well.
Anyone else has seen this before and maybe a solution or fix for this?
I use the latest Hyperdragon ROM. I've added a picture so you can see what i'm talking about.
I had similar problem.
It is due to camera hardware (cmos sensor or something) faulty and sent in for repair.

I changed my 1rst One because i suppose the camera sensor was faulty, all my pics in good day conditions was like that:

and full album here:

BUT, MY REAL PROBLEM NOW IS, today, without to do anything with phone or change some settings, i repeat, without to do anything, when i was outside to make the same pictures test, all pictures was in bad conditions like the 1rst one, no single pictures to look good like 3 days ago.

Mirror Reflection setting for front facing camera

Anybody know what this setting is supposed to do?
I had hoped/assumed it would flip the image when taking a selfie so that the resulting image isn't the wrong way round, however it doesn't seem to be doing that for me.
Ignore this, I've figured it out! Doh!
Please enlighten me. Cuz I don't understand what it does... ?

How to color calibrate the RAW files?

Is there any solution to get correct colors of of the phones DNG files? Its not as awful as the mate 20pro was, but it definitely needs work.
Are there already presets available, is there a test chart I could use to create a profile?
What di you mean? Like editing in photoshop or what? I don't get ur question.
He mean that in RAW photos colors are very mismatched as they shoud be in real life. For now i found its better to shoot over exposed pictures in RAW because of big vignetting effect. But for now i cant set up real colors as should be, it need some profile but i dont know how to make it correct.
