Hey XDA,
I tried to root my phone (GingerBread 2.3.3 with DDJV5) with CF root with ODIN3.After installation Odin says process was successful and finally my phone wont boot and is not passing after SGS logo. Can u suggest me best method to get back my phone in normal or else installation procedure for Cyanogenmod..
Can you still boot into recovery or download mode?

Simply flash again with ODIN a stock Firmware, Root it and flash the ROM you want ??
Yes, flash stock with odin, or simply go into recovery wipe cache, go into mounts and wipe system, datadata, & data and try to reflash. If it does not work you should flash stock with odin and tripple check that you got the right files for your phone

I had a stock I9000 with 2.3.4 XXJVQ. I rooted it with CF-ROOT 3.7 using these instructions: androidadvices.com/root-samsung-galaxy-gt-i9000-android-234-xxjvq-firmware/3/ and CF-Root-XX_UNK_JVQ-v3.7-CWM3RFS.tar and Odin3 v1.7 from the provided archive.
These worked all right and it also installed CWM 2.0
Then I downloaded CM7.1 stable from here: cyanogenmod.com/devices/samsung-galaxy-s and followed the instructions here to install: wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S:_Full_Update_Guide#Method_via_Recovery
I wiped the data, wiped the cache and then selected "Install zip from sdcard" and then I choose the CM7.1 zip file and after a few seconds the phone entered a reboot cycle. For a moment the Cyanomodgen logo and the Samsung logo appeared, then a few lines of text, and then it rebooted and did the same.
I've waited about 10 minutes and nothing changed, and then proceeded to install CF-ROOT again via Odin thinking that it would solve it and revert back to what I had. Boy, was I wrong! Now it just hangs on the Samsung logo screen.
The phone still enters Download mode, so from what I've read it's recoverable, but I'm kinda scared to try anything else without knowing for sure that it would work because I don't want to brick it harder.
Since I'm a new user, the forum won't let me link properly. Sorry.
Any advice? Thanks.

Can you get 3 button recovery again? If you can just reflash cm7
Instead of reflashing the kernel through Odin you should have taken out the battery. Then 3 button comboed back into recovery and reflashed cm7
If you can't get into recovery again reflash a stock rom with odin.. then a kernel then has cwm recovery.. reboot into recovery mode then flash cm7.. and if you get the same boot loop as before pull the battery, 3 button into recovery and flash cm7 again.. then you will be good to go

First time I entered CWM using the CWM app and selecting "reboot into CWM". Is there another combo besides home+vol down+power for dl mode?
Could you recomend a good stock ROM?
Thanks

volume up, home and power will give you recovery when your phone is turned off..
Any stock gingerbread will do when trying to go to cm7

The first time you flash CM7, you might need to flash it twice. AKA
1) Flash once
2) Reboot. Now you are stuck in bootloop.
3) Pull battery. Go into recovery mode again
4) Flash cm7 again
5) Should boot normally now.
It's a common occurrence.
Oops beat me to it
It doesn't go into recovery anymore (home+vol up+power). I'll try to flash a stock ROM with Odin and see how it goes.
Edit1:
For people having this problem. I've flashed using the ROM and instructions here:
androidadvices.com/update-samsung-galaxy-i9000-official-gingerbread-235-xfjva-firmware/2/
This is 2.3.5 XXJVT
Edit2:
I've went to this thread:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108
and got the proper CF-ROOT for XXJVT and flashed it with Odin3 v1.7
Edit3:
I've installed CM7.1 using the instructions linked in the first post and everything worked out fine. Thanks everybody.

As I know, the one package file of extension (.tar.md5) is placed under One Package field & not in PDA.
Also u need an ops file which should be placed under OPS field.

I was flashing before like this, everything was fine. There must be a way to fix this.
Nobody? Is anything possible with adb or fastboot?
EDIT: I fixed it. Thanks anyway.

Hello, I'm having exactly the same problem. I went back to stock from cm10, but now I have a bootloop (boots until samsung logo and reboots.)
I think I just need to wipe data, but I can't access recovery. I even flashed cwm a few times and flashed the stock rom with a pit file, but I'm still stuck on samsung logo.
So, any help?
Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1853159

Hi, I had exactly the same problem, flashed the stock firmwire but it gets stuck on samsung logo, flashed few CWMs but nothing. I really didn't know what to do, then my battery became critical so i connected it to the pc and let it charge. While charging, I tried to acces the CWM recovery (home+volume up+volume down + power) and BAM! It opened recovery, I deleted all user data, cache and factory reset, rebooted and it worked.
Try to flash stock rom
Flashing stock rom didn't work.

Hi All,
I was struggle with bootloop issue for 3 days. I got my problem when I forgot to wipe phone returning ROM 10.2 to stock rom. Before I didn’t have any problems with getting to recovery mode but after I was not able to get to CWM. Also did try (vol+) (vol-) (home) hold while odin reset all I get RUMDAMP ARM9. Same when trying to hold recovery combination while normal boot. I have no problems with getting to Download mode.
Phone show Samsung animation and then vibrate once, pause, vibrate twice.
What work for me.
Recovery Combination = (vol+) + (vol-) + (home) + (pwr)
1. With odin 3.04 (don know if version matters I hade SS_DL.dll in same folder as odin) I install cwm-6.0.3.3-b2-jena.tar.md5
2. It restarted and get boot loop again
3. When I hold recovery combination phone didn’t boot. But what did I remove battery plug it again. Press (pwr) and immediately (maybe 0.5 sec) I hold rest of the recovery combination. Phone boot and show me logo so I release the buttons. To my surprise I did boot to CWM. (don’t know way but I didn’t do wipe immediately but I restart did try it again to be sure if this works – and it did, at least for me)
Rest was easy (WIPE Factory Reset, Cache, Dalvik Cache and just in case fix permission) restart and did boot to Stock ROM. For some unknown reason now I can normally CWM just buy holding combination and releasing as soon as Samsung logo show up.
I hope this will help somebody.
Now im using CM 10.1 07/07
My phone is S6500D no NFC
Cheers,
Maciej

Today I was with Cyanogenmod 10.1 but I decieded to put Stock 2.3.6. I downloaded it from samfirmware and flashed it via ODIN. Then phone rebooted as normal but stuck ot samsung logo, vibrated and then vibrated two fast times. I putted CMW but I can't get into it. I can only get into download mode. The phone is just rebooting.. I reflashed with ODIN but no result. What to do ?
Reflash stock rom then flash cwm and then wipe data cache dalvik format system and reflash stock rom.
Same problem after installing Cyanogenmod 10, i can't enter in recovery i try to reflash many times recovery and firmware but nothing...
I can only enter in download mode, because i get bootloops in samsung logo.
Any idea?
and what do you mean by "can enter recovery?"

follow these :
1. flash stock gb using odin
2. by pressing the button for ur phone which takes u into stock recovery mode, do a factory reset..
3. now reboot and u wont have any boot loops..
the method in 2nd post is not at all suggested since stock GB has nothing to do with insecure/nand recovery...it only makes things unstable afaik..
gudluck..
just hold the buttons a little longer.. I had the same problem like ~2-3 months ago. Make sure you wipe data before re-flashing stock, since Odin is not doing that.

flash with re-parition (select pit file).. but I have never done that, so... I guess that's the only way to wipe data. I had a similar problem, flashed stock without wiping data and got bootloop. At first I couldn't get into recovery, but later on I somehow could. When exactly you get bootloop? After the GT-S6500 boot logo? What device D/I/T etc. What ROM/recovery you had when you flashed stock? (including dates and versions)
Next time provide more info, we don't have a crystal ball.
I have an idea - can somebody give me stock 2.3.6 but full firmware package (PIT, BOOTLOADER, PDA, PHONE and CSC).
There is no bootloader to flash. Those one-package tars are the only packages. Answer to the above questions. Learn to describe your problem properly.

Hi
I'm having a few problems with my trusty Galaxy S.
I tried to update to Cyanogen 10, got it installed through Clockwork mod no probs. I had a few problems with it , thought I'd try 9 as my friend gets on great with that.
It hasn't successfully flashed though. It's stuck in a loop where it enters Clockwork, then crashes back to the loading screen. I haven't done much of this for ages so guess I got careless and made an error somewhere.
I assume I need to flash through Odin now as I can still get to download mode, but not recovery. I don't know which kernel to get and use though? no idea what will work and don't want to brick my phone. I'd just like a working kernel that so I can put Cyanogen on again. Any advice is appreciated thanks.

Thanks that worked just fine. Nearly bricked the phone using someone's restore to stock guide. But now this kernel has installed fine.
Unfortunately I am trying to flash cm10, it installs fine, but it just loads back up into recovery mode, and wont boot properly.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get out of this CWM recovery boot-loop I'm stuck in?
The Semaphore Kernel is just stuck for me.
