Hello, I've searched every where but to no avail. Can anyone help me and help others how to edit the mixerpath for the Note 7 to make the bluetooth, speaker and anything else louder? Much appreciated & thanks in advance. Have a nice day.

Search for the sound Mod in the Roms section.
if u not rooted u cant do it

Im rooted, the mixerpath is different than before. Samsung added a lot now and doesn't look nowhere near as the file as in the note 4 mixerpath file.

I did but the file in the note 7 is way different now. I have my old file from note 4 and it doesn't work anymore. It has to be edited again using the mixerpath from the note 7 as Samsung added a lot to it.

When you get it, I strongly suggest to ask for the phone so you can set it up but skip signing into Samsung. Immediately go into software update and make sure its on manual and software update auto off. Tell them you do nit want the new fw update to decline, some sales person will hit that update once they activate the sim. Turn off the phone until you get home to root. MAKE SURE to boot into recovery and not sprint logo as some people are having issues following step 4 and letting phone fully boot. Once you odin sprint fw and it gies into blue screen, finishes wiping (you'll see the bar go full) and it shuts off, hit the buttons for recovery immediately if you miss that step you'll have signal issues, BE WARNED. If it goes into boot logo, just hit thw buttom for download mode and odin sprint fw again and pay attention. Good luck man. There is the video on the same post for tmobile root but the guy roots the verizon using tmobile steps. Follow what he does.

Just curious, I saw the knox app om all international and Tmobile versions but I cant find it on my att version. BY Knox I mean the secure profile switcher.
Update 1 :
Koars215 received a correspondence from Samsung:
"after days on days of speaking with att and samsung... corporate finally spilled the beans lol this is coming from samsung mouth the agent told me that att push the device for purchased and did not look over the software in full before putting it on the shelf. They said the reason we can see the knox app in the installation manager is because by default it should be. Also its something that cant be found on its samsung app market place.
END RESULT: Samsung said within the next 1-2 weeks it will push a software update for At&t and t-mobile(i had no clue t-mobile was having the same issue)"
Update 2:
Get the knoxstub.apk from note 3 international and placed it in system after being rooted and now knox is working perfect. Tnx to cburnett
Update 3:
Knoxstub is attached. Tested and it works :good: Tnx to cburnett for the file.
Just open the apk and install normally and let it do its thing.
Exactly I can't find it either.

Me neither. It's strange
To activate it go to Security>Device Administrators.
Word to the wise, if you care about Root or Bootloader Unlock; becareful. No one really knows what Knox changes hardware wise, IF it even changes anything hardware wise and software wise.
Unfortunately there's no way for us on AT&T N3 to disable it completely. But so far, it's not running on mine.
How do you use Knox on the att version? How do I get credentials for it

Still it doesn't show up after I activate it.
Same here checking knox in administrators does nothing. Could it be that I'm using the sim from my note 2 and not the one that was in the box?

Guys Knox is not an app. It's a security protocol that keeps your information private and also your activity. Anything done in Knox, stays in Knox. Once it's activated it's on and monitors your security.
Here's some more information on how it works.... http://www.samsung.com/global/business/mobile/solution/security/samsung-knox
At&t Note III...& At&t G Pro
mine don't work either
@Jammol your wrong on the the other company's such as sprint there is an/a app on the home screen that allows you to place things inside the container and also Knox have its own store with supported apps. I was on the phone with Samsung advanced tech support and they were scratching their head on why it isn't installed on the device but it is found in the installation manager
I said its not an app because I don't classify it as one. Yes its a container, an environment, an app.

All variants have this Knox app that switches environments, but not at&t and thats what we are asking: Where is it?

I will keep you guys updated this will be round 2 with advance tech support (samsung+att)... My guess is if others are having this problem that they will end up pushing a update that fixes this problem. My buddy got the Note 3 for sprint and i saw that its visible from the home screen and had to download the knox store onto the note 3. When i later got my note 3 from att that was the first app i looked for and i wasn't available.

I've tried every possible combo but it still doesn't work. The send text button will get or orange box around it but doesn't show when anything is read.
Can someone post a screenshot of what it looks like when it works?
Honestly I could care less about this, I would like group messaging to work correctly.
Hello guys !
This is a serious matter for me and i want a fact related (maybe) answer. I want to know if there is any way to stop call tapping on note 5. Or if there is a device that cannot be tapped.
Thank you
Try getting a Blackphone. Just do a Google search for it. The latest one actually looks pretty decent.

Instead of buying the blackphone or blackphone 2 you could download the maker's (silent cirlce) app "silent phone". it let's you make encrypted calls and texts. And if you wanted to be really cautious install the TOR software "Orbot". If your note 5 is rooted you can set ALL traffic to go over the TOR network.

I'd like to get the Pixel XL, but as it stands it still seems that isn't yet in stock and I have my doubts it'll be available by the nineteenth of this month.
Is there a way to keep the phone from auto updating like it did with the 60% charge restriction without having to root?
Will rooting and using a custom ROM become the only way to keep the Note 7 running come the new update?
Will rooting then impact returning the phone with T-Mobile? Or can you return it to "stock" in order to do so?
I'm rooted with stock os, I just disabled all the samsung crap and didn't get the previous update. So I don't see this coming either. I used titanium backup freeze/ remove method and haven't had any unauthorized updates pushed to my phone. At this point is only way you can do it or else be stuck unable to charge your phone in a week.
Tiger, I've never rooted a phone, but I'm no tech dummy either. What is a good resource to walk me through the process? What will I need to download? PC vs. Mac?

lol....unless your lucky like he is and rooted and stayed on the original firmware there is no way to root and your on the 60% update so no go.
you can roll back to the previous firmware get rid of the 60% update but thats it.
i am also not aware of any package disablers which work now either to prevent the next OTA
there is an ADB method but its not working on all devices from what ive seen

Only way at this point is download the vanilla firmware in the download section. Flash it via Odin, root it right away, and don't let it get online. Load titanium, find the app to download to sd card, then disable to your hearts content and you will be able to keep your phone.

Does above know when this is coming to the note 8. That's a major reason I upgraded from the note 4. I was shocked when I upgraded from the note 2 and lost simultaneous voice and data and have been suffering ever since.
Patiently waiting on this as well

when sprint release this for the note 8 or you maybe able to pull this form a rooted s8 by spr.
well when i rooted spr note 8 VoLTE and WiFi was working hmmm please don't ask because idk how this is without the up date. yes it works as i can make call but it has no toggle for it. i will take a screen shot in a sec. aslo do any one might know where VoLTE is stored at, if i can find out where this is at....maybe i can pull it for root and non rooted phones (maybe Non-rooted phones)

I found these using an activity launcher, i still havent tried it yet(volte), and i also found a call recorder, and the spam and caller id app but i dont think it works atm
based off his screenshots it looks like hes running the XAS software with sprint csc.
If you flash the unlocked tar image to the phone it will give you volte, but it wasn't working for me unless i was already on wifi calling and then left the wifi network i could continue using data, once i got off phone and made a new call on cellular it wasn't working.

Any updates how we can enable the "Talk and Data" option? with all the technology of today, its amazing this isnt enabled with any software release out of the box
Mine works on incoming calls only. If I make a call it does not work
Sent from my SM-N950U using XDA-Developers Legacy app
It sucks that yes with all this technology, Sprint is so F behind. Volte should be available for unlock and carrier phone right out of the box. I mean for carrier S8 it came out a bit late, but not as late as the Note 8.
And why does Tmob. Is able to do Volte and hotspot. Just like that.
If I wasn't under a grandfather plan, Zero plan, I will have ditch Sprint long time ago.
Thank God for the gurus here at XDA, makes for some tweaking, while we wait for the Calling Plus...

No not that it was never coming back. It just wasn't coming back till Sprint had VoLTE infrastructure in place and they turn it on.
I think it is still a year or two out before they get that going. The good thing is if they actually activate it our phones are compatible for it.
Turning this stuff on, on our end won't work till Sprint turns it on, on their end.
