Streaming Devices with the Oneplus 3 - OnePlus 3 Accessories

Hi XDA!
this is my first post ever, so I'm worried about being a noob. I tried searching up the answer to my question, but I couldn't find anything.
Okay, so:
I want to buy an Elgato HD60s to record gameplay on my oneplus.
However, I heard that the Oneplus 3's charging port was not compatible with UASP. Does this mean that I will not be able to record gameplay because data doesn't transfer or anything?
I'm not a techy so I probably won't undersetand explanations. Btw if it does record, I need Full HD at 60fps.
THANK YOU ALL!!!!

Camera : Low quality sound recorded?

Hi,
Been 2 months now i have my TyTn II, looking at XDADev, i was able to answer all the questions i had but ... i still don't understand why when i record videos, sound quality is really low (8khz), and why when i use HTC sound recorder, i can go up to 44khz.
I have looked at all camera options, only found audio on/off, what im missing here?
Thx in advance.
Yes, I noticed that too, I tried to record a small video during in a classroom, and you can't understand what's being said through the video. The person was 15 meters away and speaking out loud.
Maybe there are some registry tweaks that can be changed?

HTC seems to use the same low-quality setting with all its models. It's the best to forget using it as a video camera altogether. Or, if you really need a phone with a decent, high-quality video camera, get the Nokia N95 or the N82.

Can't agree more.. Every device has its +ve's and -ve's and you have to decide what you really want from it.
The day someone comes out with the 'Perfect' unit, all others will be out of business and nobody will be able to sell any new models!!
We could wish it as a New Year's resolution but I don't think it will happen from any company...
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all (and let's hope the New Year will bring us WM 6.1 with good Qualcomm drivers!!)

30fps Video Record?

Is there a way or tweak to get the camera to record at VGA or WVGA @ 30fps? I have a 14 month old daughter and im constantly taking pics of her for the familly ect and noticed that when recording video the framerate is very laggy or slow motion like. The iphone 3gs records great video quality and the N1 has better specs so id assume higher frame rate on record is possible with the N1 also.
Any thoughts anyone?
Thx Guys!

People trip me out some time with there smart remarks.
If you like carrying around multi devices good for you. I have a stand alone camera that does video record ect but my camera is not ALLWAYS on me.
The same way the Nexus is good for multi media such as mp3 / and watching videos but I dont go buy a PSP or ipod touch for that I use my phone. The point of the high end phones these days is to try to limit carrying multi devices on you at all time.
With all the hacking / ports / tweaks going on just wanted to know if 30fps video record was possible. If you dont know how or dont know what im talking about please do reply with BS. Thanks.

i don't think he was in a bs kinda tone. hard to tell on forums
you'll thank yourself later for using a higher quality camera (dedicated camera) of any kind for videos one day. proud parent here, know whatcha mean about wanting to capture the cool 'new' moments.
now then, as far as recording, i'll bet there are settings you can change for it someday. right now the video quality is pretty darn good. just dumped a couple of videos from mine today. frame rate is quite good, picture clarity good, fps decent.
IF YOU FIND an app or way to up the settings, PLEASE update this thread in your original post.
Yeah, Im not trying to come off negative to anyone. I have a decent standalone camera that can take great pics and video a 10mpiexel cam with ful vga record. With phones tho its so MUCH MUCH MUCH more conveient to beable to snap a picture and have that picture allready able to send as MMS / Email / Up Load to facebook ect...
With the standalone camera I have to take mem card out - load to card reader - copy pics to mem card on my nexus - ect...
Just too many steps. When I had an iphone 3gs for a lmited time I was amazed at the video recording quality from a cell phone.
Now with the nexus with specs better then iphone I dont see why we cant get full 30fps at WVGA or VGA res. With 1ghz CPU and 5mpxl that should be possible right out the box. Seems like its definetly possible and im all for the ability to carry less devices.
it would be great if we could get 30 fps on the nexus. my under powered n97 does 30 fps and its video quality is a step up from my nexus for sure. kinda disappoints me that the video quality isn't just as good as my previous phones.
the moto droid (with lower specs) can do 30fps with some hacking... im sure its some setting in the rom that we can change
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-hacks/19647-increase-camera-video-quality.html
HTC Desire with similar hardware does 30fps.
I don't know if it's HW or SW limitation, though. Did anyone try to record video on Desire ROM and can verify the actual fps?
Well, the Desire ROM allows for WGVA recording. I do not know about all the fps stuff, but I do know that I am recording in WGVA.
You should be able to by modifying the camera driver in the kernel and the build.prop. I'll look into this when I have the time, but I found the line that should control frame rate. A commit says that not all cameras are stable at 30fps, but how's that ever stopped us?

HTC ONE Laggy low light video recording.

Hello everyone,
I've been looking for low light video tests of the HTC ONE on youtube for quite a while and I noticed that most of the low light videos are laggy, like 20fps.
I have contacted HTC support and they told me that no customer has ever reported such an issue, so they are not aware of this.
I currently do not own this phone but I am looking forward to buy it.
If anyone of you can take a "laggy" video and send it to htc it would be great.
http://www.htc.com/www/contact/email/
If the issue has been fixed in a software update, which I don't seem to find any information about, please tell me.
If anyone has sent a ticket to HTC, please post a reply.
Hello,
I did send them an inciendiary email a few days ago. Still waiting on a reply from them.
How can they say no one reported it ? I'm pretty sure some people in these thread did :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2259124
Anyway, all report the lag, time they fix this crap so we can use our phone the way it's supposed to. There's already enough problem with focus as it is, we don't need no stinky laggy videos.
It's just different companies prioritizing different things. The One tries to get in enough light regardless of what it has to do, and that means fluctuating frame rates in low light video. The S3, S4 and Lumia do different things in where they force 30FPS, but in return you get much less light in, making the video darker. But the phone is still plenty new, and we can all hope that HTC would give us an option for what we want, shutter speed priority mode please
v1,27 wasn't so laggy like v1,29 atm. I think they can do it better, but it's ok for me.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One mit Tapatalk 2
Lumia 920 does the same job at 30fps. The Galaxy S4 and the iPhone have an inferior sensor.

Thank you for the link to the thread that already covers this topic. We do not need two threads about this.
Surely just change the exposure?
Can't. Exposure settings are ignored in video mode. Which you would have learned if you had read the other thread. The one that the OP should have also read before starting this one.
Does the iso setting affect video quality/framerate in any way?

Xperia X Performance Video stutter!

First time im posting here, I read a lot before posting about modifications to make the Heat threshold higher before the cores get unplugged, I have never modified a cellphone in my life, so I dont understand anything to much. Currently im having a problem with a Xperia X Performance I bought for 388 new from a amazon sale. Phone works perfect and I can't complain, but there's only one thing, I bought it cause of its video recording and photo capabilities, I haven't had a problem taking picture, but while recording video, no matter if it is at 30fps or 60fps, my recording stutters at random times, and after 2 minutes of recording it gives me a overheating message.
I am guessing the sutter comes from the heating itself that makes the phone go crazy, I read the max temperature on default it holds before going nuts is 47cº, and theres a mod to make it go to 56º or more before going nuts. If this is the problem then could someone help me or explain me how to modify it? Or if the video stutter ir something else I would appreciate some help! I need it to work before the 27th because im leaving a on 3 month trip and need to record a lot, bought 5 SD 64gb 90mb/s cards as they are the best for filming.
Thank you!
From what i've found, seems like rooting and unlocking a xperia X performance device is way harder than a normal device....

Is a way to force the recoding in that mode? (I seen it can be done on S8 and Note8, but is a diferent phone, and i dont want to damage it or something)
Thanks YOU!

Hy, comrade . Short answer is NO, u can't record 4K 60fps 'cause Kirin 980 is not able to process 60fps. The video encoder is still 4K30, which is a competitive disadvantage for the new SoC as it's not able to hold up to the competition's faster encoding capabilities.
More info you can find here : https://www.anandtech.com/show/13298/hisilicon-announces-the-kirin-980-first-a76-g76-on-7nm/2
