Hi guys,
i just want to ask you what's the most stable rom for nokia X2?
Well none can be as stable as stock, so most stable will be any stock based rom like nokdroid, simonoid etc. But I assume you will want better version so I'll say cm11 or anything based on cm11 is best. Cm12.1 is said to be quite stable too but I never tried so don't really know.

is there any down sides with cm11 ?
I think messenger and facebook problems can be solved using Advanced Nokia X2 tools v5.20 by symbuzzer.

of course it's stable, but there are some bad parts about jellybean. first, the battery life isn't that great, and secondly, the ram management is awful (after installing facebook and whatsapp, as an example, you will only have about 40-50 mb free ram). i would recommend you to flash CyanAOSP v2.9.0 4.4.2 kitkat + semaphore kernel. it has great battery life, it's blazing fast, and the ram management is perfect (about 160mb free ram with facebook and whatsapp installed).
OK now since you talking about stability. SlimROMS are quite stable but there are better ROMs than slim ROMs such as Supernexus which I am currently using and seriously I haven't received a single bug. I am on KitKat version. Others are Mackay ROM, cyanogen mod latest nightly build, or cyanaosp which is good too. Even 4.3 was quite buggy.

I have used CM 10.2 and now using CM 11 and they both work fine , though I only use it on WiFi not cell service so can't comment on that. The CM 11 is still being developed so might be a few bugs here and there.

Hi all !
Good news for Viber users using p990/su660 with custom rom.
In this case CM11
Some of the new versions of Viber have issues with 4.4
This version instead works great: http://www.mediafire.com/download/amr605hegba0cec/com.viber.voip-48-v4.1.1.10.apk
UPDATE 15/09: Latest version 5.0.0.4090 with video calls has no big issues with CM11 ! In case you test yourself, please report
Enjoy it.
PS. In case you need to downgrade, uninstall previous version first!

I have crashes with latest version on CM11 by hjunii / hjunii's kernel modded by qzwcc when I try to record an audio message or call.
Which I've seen in forums it's a common issue with Viber and custom roms.
Not with this one
Great that it works
Works on my ZTE V9
Works on my ZTE V9 with CM11 too
Thanks for the tip
September 15 - Latest version works !!!
I was going to update this thread today, since just I just tried the latest version of Viber, with video calls...and IT WORKS on LG P990/660 running tonyp's CM11 !!!
Hopefully they're supporting CyanogenMod after becoming the official OS of OnePlus phones
Anyway...I thought you may want to try as well :good:
Good luck !
good, but so heavy and laggy app for our P990 (
@Mhden2x I agree
Infact it's my first app in hibernate list (second is Skype) on Greenify, since I need to use it, but not to stay always on !
Give it a try...
yeah, I use greenify, but still when viber / facebook wake up... disaster! can't even answer a call. I guess we can't do anything else for our device, it's a miracle we have CM11 already, thanks to the best developers ever here! hehe

Hi guys , have tried dozens of roms. Had ISC 4.0.4 for 1,5 month and it was perfect but recently , rom is much much more slower and camera app is not working what so ever. Can you tell me , what is the best and most stable rom to date ? Right now trying slimkat 4.4.4 but this rom is just lagfest...

To me as now, the one in my signature, i've used it for a long time with many apps installed (just do not install twitter and facebook, use the mobile version instead with a super light browser).
You have to install greenify to hibernate apps, thanks to @NoDze to the suggestion!

Hahahah, thanks mate for the mention.
By the way, I hate using the mobile versions of apps so I use alternatives. Klyph/FriendCaster for Facebook and Plume/Falcon Pro for Twitter and my phone is blazing.

CM10.1 TonyP for me, fully operational except HDMI.. (GPS, bluetooth and BT call are working)
Which is for you the best ROM at this moment? I have just flashed SlimLP with Layers and seems cool! D2TW working!!
Official miui, it has no bugs at all. but i have tried different roms here, maybe the best non official is unofficial omnirom.
i wonder if the dt2w is really working, and its not eating your battery.

I saw some post regarding SOD in latest release , so i didnt tried.
My Daily Driver: AICP v10 20150809 nightly + No SIM bug fix + FM fix.
Except for the unresolved HDR bug everything works fine on this build, no issues at all.
Absolutely smooth and stable. Battery life is very good as well

I completely agree.
SlimBit is lean, stable and fast, my daily driver. So far everything works fine (expect the snapdragon camera in HDR mode, but which does???)
After using a couple of others:
MIUI6 - gorgeous design, stable, but slow, resource hungry and full of features - which I hardly need.
Ivan's AOSP 5.1.1 - fast, lean, functional. no updates and regular call drops.
MinimalOS (Bitti's) - fast, lean, functional. no updates and random reboots.
Latest official cm 12.1 is fast, stable and has amazing battery. Omnirom was my previous daily driver - also superstable. Would use miui7 just for the camera, but I cant stand the notification system...

No idea. I just flashed in extended partition. I planning to flash Alexret v6 kernel
I'm using unofficial CM by kundancool, the battery life and performance are great.
EOS is the Greatest!
For rom cook I prefer EOS, love the slide navigation.
But I am using miui7 08.28 now. Its quite stable, no lag, good battery. May be this time Xiaomi did listen to us

Mokee or Bitti's Omnirom - rock solid stable and reliable performance. Install the ColorOS camera (search xda forums) and enjoy the awesome camera.
Metallium OS R1, using for last 2 weeks without any issues. Stable, fast, smooth... Very much like Ivan's AOSP. My reliable daily driver. Love the extra number row on the default AOSP keyboard, makes typing so much easier. Only bug is the known HDR bug. One of the few ROMs which doesn't have the bottom touch bug. Exceptional battery life (both standby and SOT are great).

Totally agree.
I used miui v7 for the first time since its release. Before I was using different custom roms based on lollipop for past 6-7 months.
About MIUI 7 16.09.
I must tell you that its the best refined experience I am having since I bought this phone.
No performance lag ( not as fast as lollipop , but still its great.), No heating at all, Best bettery life ever, Best camera, Best sound.
Its not powerful in multitasking as compared to lollipop roms,, but still I couldnt find any problem on my side.
So if you are like me using custom roms for past 6 months,,, I recommend you to just try it..
You will feel good.
which :/ custom rom has good battery life more then miui7???
, as it is KitKat based it sucks isn't that smooth as lollipop xiaomi is cheating on us

In your opinion, is there any disadvantage on the long term in installing this version? At least it's a stable release, right?

Yeah, totally stable, at least i dont see any bugs. You´ll improve a lot your s3 installing this. More control on apps, more duration on battery, faster than other versions. Do it.
