[Help] How to make internal storage as app only? [Sprout 4] - Android One (First-Generation) Cross-Device Genera

Hi guys,
I installed official stock rom. I don't know what happened but it enabled me to used internal storage as storage for music, images & other stuff. But I didn't want that. I want it only for storage of apps (as it is in default android one phone sets). So I installed cm13 snapshot again to see it its stock rom problem. But now cm 13 is also showing it as storage for music, images. Please help me if you know the solution!!!

You probably flashed sprout8 ROM

No bro I'm 1000% sure it's sprout4 rom + I downloaded & flashed it twice in a row to make sure it's sprout 4. And earlier cm 14 snapshot was showing it internal only. After I flashed same cm rom it shows internal memory usable.
Edit : finally I got it fixed. Read some Android authority forums. Got a solution.

How to fix it please tell

[Q] Small, lightweight rom

Hi there,
My ACE has CWM-based recovery v5.0.2.6 and, I think, Mokee OS from MFunz. That's what it says when starting.
Whith Facebook, Whatsapp, email(liteversion of outlook.com) and a browser for internet the phone has not enough memory.
I use a SD card for storage and App2sd.
There are a lot of apps that came with this ROM that I don't use or can not be replaced.
I'm now looking for a custom ROM that uses only a small part of te memory.
I want to be able to use WiFi, Bleutooth and GPS.
What is the smallest stable ROM in memory size?

Try to put your desired files (.ogg) from /system/media/ringtones or /notifications into /sdcard/ringtones or /sdcard/notifications and then reboot. Maybe it's a momentary possible fix. Or select your desired file using your own file browser and set it manually
BTW you can use this rom A special slim masterpiece by V0-1 + CM 7 GAPPS
I remember it was amazing and ringtones worked good
Thanks.
I don't understand what your saying about putting files somewhere and rebooting.
Therefore I will try the other ROM you mentioned.
I will post the result here.

I never had such problem while using this rom. Make sure it not in the Silent Mode or that the volume is down. Try choosing a ringtone available in the phone. If none of this works, then do a factory reset from CWM. You can also follow what @Viper The Ripper suggested

[Q] Xperia V Internal Memory Error

Hello Guys, I have sony Xperia V, everything was fine until i was going to install cm12, i did a factory reset with erase internal memory too, then after i flashed the rom, everything went fine but i was unable to move or copy or store anything in and out of the internal memory, and none of my apps are able to read or write data into it, i tried reflash the rom and tried to flash the stock rom but the problem is still on,
What should i do, please help me!
I have the same problem. I cannot download files and save them on internal memory or make photos or videos or record voice.
What about having a look at my CM12.1 thread, post #3... "Fixing internal storage"
I have tried but unfortunately still not working . Maybe it works only with your CM 12 mod?

The toolkit probably uses fastboot to format the data and fastboot can't do it properly for some reason. Wipe data with stock recovery or twrp
I think you might have made a backup, check that as well, and as stated clear cache

i have the same issue what i did is after changing my file system from f2fs to ext 4 in recovery MTP i copied files of 10GB the backup i have taken previously after i flashed the rom and booted my that data was not visible to my but when i checked the storage it has taken 10GB of space under other in storage settings
Same issue
I encountered the same issue after decryption. Worse thing was that my original internal memory was reduced from 119 GB to 24 GB. Once I fixed the problem by flashing the full stock rom and it turns out that recovery was not replaced by the stock one and the storage is surprisingly decrypted as well. Currently, I tried the same method to get the missing storage back but it doesn't work any more since the cryption was forcingly done by the latest stock rom. I guess there's somewhere stuck in the mounting period or the format is recorgnized as system partion.

Q: Good ROM for Che2-L11 ?

Which ROM would you recommend for Honor 4X - Che2-L11 ( cherryplus, Kirin 620)? I need to fix my girlfriend's phone
She needs stable ROM with working radio (so Nougat from here won't work), headphones, good battery life and enough internal storage (or possibility to move apps to SD or use adoptable storage with microSD) for apps.
Android 4.4.2 was relatively fine, but it is old. Then we upgraded to stock 6.0 (B570), however she had problems with lack of internal storage - it was not possible to move apps to SD card (4.4.2 was better in that) and adoptable storage didn't work properly (apps are crashing, reporting not enough space, new apps can't be installed etc). Then we tried RROS on Nougat from ksrt12, where adoptable storage seems to work fine, but radio and headphones don't work and there is quite high battery drain (15% per night with data disabled).
Which ROM would you recommend?

If you are OK with Android 6, you can try Modaco. This was the rom I used before I switched to RROS recently.
You should get a Class 10 SD card (32 Gb if possible). Install Apps2SD from play store and partition the card. First partition FAT32, second partition Ext4, then you move apps to SD card's second partition. (If you wish, you can create three partitions, and use one of them as 'adoptable storage'. I did that.) Modaco rom has a lot of free space on the system partition, so you can move many apps there, which also saves space. But apps that have been moved to system partition will be moved back to internal storage when they are updated.
I had so much free space that I never came close to filling up the storage. But I think regular XDA users would get kinda bored using this rom, as it is basically EMUI with a little bit stock feel.
The only things not working were the default clock and the compass. Clock you can just install another clock app from play store. Compass. .. I never found how to fix. Detecting headphones works and all the other hardware things, as this is basically a modified EMUI 4. I should also add that I don't know if you can flash this from RROS, as that would be "downgrading" from Android 7 to Android 6.

Thank you for the advice. I see Modaco has 2 ROMs - EMUI style and Stock style beta. Which one did you use?
With use of Apps2SD, does it move all apps to Ext4 partition on the card, or just selected ones? Or is it basically just remapping internal storage to Ext4 partition on the card?
If I have just 16 GB card for this phone, how do you suggest to repartition it?
If there is so much free space on the system partition, isn't it possible to decrease size of system partition somehow and enlarge internal storage instead?

It must have been the Stock style beta. I didn't know there was another version.

Apps2SD moves the files of apps to the SD card and creates symbolic links, so the system "thinks" the apps are still on the internal storage. In Apps2SD this process is called to link apps. Just so you know the terminology. It is very configurable, so you can choose which apps to move/link to the SD card.
What you describe, to repartition /system, sounds like a good idea, but I don't know enough about Android to say if it is possible. You would probably need some recovery program that can repartition the internal storage. Can TWRP do that? I don't know. This is above my league, sorry.
UPDATE: I found this guide for how to repartition the internal storage. But I haven't tried it.
I installed that MoDaCo EMUI style ROM, partitioned my SD card and made Apps2SD working. So far it looks fine.
However, does it still make sense to use MoDaCo EMUI ROM, which is based on B506 firmware, when there is B580 stock available? Yes MoDaCo has more internal memory free (3.28 GB vs 2.50 GB), but it has security patches only from March 2016, while B580 has July 2017 and who knows how good tweaks Huawei added since B506...

I have two Che2-L11 phones, and one of them was running B580 until a few weeks ago. The few small improvements Huawei added are not even worth the upgrade. However, if security concerns you, I would give RROS another try. About your headphones problem, I don't see why it should not work. It works on my phone. (Note three-conductor is detected and switched on, but not four-conductor.)

I also don't know why headphones without microphone didn't work with RROS for us, but it can be also related to parts of firmware that are not flashed together with RROS and they remain from previous full firmware (like modem firmware, hifi.img, dsp.img etc). Also before we flashed RROS, we had Marshmallow B570 showing Balong firmware (in the past, we upgraded from 4.4.2 to B570, but it seems she had Malaysian region set in the phone for some reason - I fixed it now) in the phone.
Unfortunatelly my girlfriend (she has this phone) wants to have headphones and radio fully working (RROS doesn't have radio as far as I know), so it seems as no go for RROS...

Cannot access internal sdcard even with root

My galaxy note could not access the internal sdcard even with root.
So this happened with RR rom when i was trying to download something in chrome, then chrome gave an error that i couldn't download because it couldn't find any path. So i open zarchiver and it says access denied.
Then i go into TWRP, did a full wipe with internal sdcard then a clean flash and the problem still exist.
Then i decided to flash xperia z ised rom and xposed, the problem gone. but after 10 minute the problem came back.
Hi @Floenum,
I have the same problem with RR rom, but only the very latest (stable) RR.... 5.8.5 build, on Nougat. Under version 5.8.4, the issue was fine and could access storage.
But if I did a dirty or clean install of RR 5.8.5, then suddenly, the Ext SD card disappeared within the OS. Any other version of the RR, before it, or any other rom from JellyBean upto Nougat, would work... except the last RR build. I was told it was my SD Card being corrupt, despite it working in TWRP and all other Android Roms, just ONE BUILD refused to work. If you install "FX File Explorer" and then choose the option to "CONNECT TO STORAGE" then that way it will work, and you can access that storage again.
That said, I also have the same issue as you with INTERNAL SD, when using Oreo roms.... Hence gone back to Nougat for now....
