Hello everyone,
A friend of mine is in an urgent situation. She broke her phone in a car accident and we try to retrieve the data. The screen is broken completely, but the phone is working. We can call the phone, although it doesn't ring, and we can restart it. It also connects to the pc but it shows an empty folder. Unfortunately, she has formated the sd card as internal with android 6.
Is there anything we can do? We also have a second moto g 2 lte, but I don't think it will read the card. I also read that it doesn't support hdmi connection, is it?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi,
My first post here, so hello to all forum users.
When I tried to copy/paste a file (~50MB) from my PC to External SD card on my Galaxy S,
it froze, then shut off - couldn't restart it unless I removed battery for a few seconds.
Sometimes it will seemingly copy/paste files ok, but then the files turn out to be corrupted.
The card (SanDisk 8GB class 2) was Ok at first, and I had copied some files to it without problem, but after a couple of days I noticed some file names were corrupted.
Are there any known problems regarding SDcards getting corrupted with the SGS?
Just wondering if anyone has had similar problems?
Thanks
yes - although my issue was that files would disappear after a short while.
i isolated the problem to my windows 7 OS running on an old Acer.
copying files via linux solves the problem. my brother's asus can write files to the sd card perfectly using windows 7
wierd really
Had a similar problem until I replaced my USB extention cable, The extension cable was USB1 not USB2, got a USB2 extension cable and its fine now even connects to Keis 1st time everytime.
It happened twice to me within 3 days:
first time while synching with media player.
The second: while bluetooth paired, in copilot gps, a call came.
I went to anwser on bluetooth, no respond.
then tried with the phone. It froze.
Then I had to shut down manually (I tried holding the butthon to choose shutdown but everything was frozen).
Then the SD card shows as corrupt.
can't unmount and can't format through the settings.
Got to do it from the top drop down menu. Then choose the sdcard and it asked if I wanted to format.
I've experienced this as well twice already. First is after uninstalling nDrive which is installed on my external SDcard. Second is when i'm trying to copy files from my external SDcard to my pc. I was trying to access the internal SDcard at the same time while i'm copying the files from external SDcard then suddently my galaxy s MTP gave me a force close message. Then it froze and i have no choice but to press power button until it restarts. After restart my phone told me that my external SDcard is corrupted and needs to be formatted. Can't unmount it either so have to do the formatting via the notification area. Really annoying as my phone is less than 2 weeks old. I have this bad feeling that there is a hardware and software problem with my phone! I don't want to send it back yet as it would take ages before i get it again!
This is happening to me as well! The only quickfix was to copy manually without using my galaxy to copy them (just used a sd card reader).
Is this a widespread issue? Any fixes?
BUMP, anyone?
Friends, a cordial greeting to all.
My problem is that my sister was cleaning the bed makes a bit and then accidentally not fixed in the cell and fell.
Since then it recojí and then wanted to listen to music but the micro-sd not detected.
Probe with other, but did not work, blowing the memory input and nothing, told me that did not detect the SD Card.
So let me know if you can help me with this problem, or return to Windows Mobile without SD Card, since I have Android and I have installed gives me problems starting, I need help please!
Try other card if can't, try reinstall rom if still can't you need to change the flex cable.
Hello
I've a moto g 2014. T
The phone have fall and broke the screen.
The value of the repair does not compensate the value of the phone.
But I have a lot of personal information on the phone pics, videos, etc.
What is the way to recover this data without having to put a new screen?
Many thanks
You should be able to plug it into a PC and access the internal and external SD cards. If your camera storage was on the SD then they should be in the DCIM folder.

Hi guys,
Somehow I have lost all my files from Internal Storage. It's weird - they disappeared after unplugging the USB cable from my laptop the last time my phone was connected. Now only the default folders are there.
I want to use data recovery software to retrieve as many photos as I can salvage, but ofcourse the phone doesn't mount as a drive on a computer so I cannot do that. There are some other methods online like this one but they require root. As you all know, root isn't easy on the Z3 compact, and the only working method which doesn't require you to unlock your bootloader needs you to flash the firmware again so then I will lose all chance of recovering any data.
Right now I have stopped using this phone and have only received 5-6 emails and messages after losing all my data so hopefully its not overwritten yet.
Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you!
Impossible without root.
Found a way. Used WebDAV to make it a network location, mapped it as a drive on my pc, used regular data recovery software...
No way, did it actually work?

Nope
Turns out only my SD card was being scanned by the software and internal memory ignored...I found one software in the end that could scan the internal memory mapped as a network drive, however the reported success rate was lower than recovering data from a local drive and I had to buy it for some $500 so I just gave up in the end...I think it was called Active something...
Heya! Thought I'd Register and ask the question here since i looked it up and couldnt find any answers elsewhere.
Basically my phone thinks my SD card is not in. This way i cant download anything to my SD and it fills up my internal storage. Apps such as Chrome are giving me that issue. Of course also when I try to move apps to SD. Under storage section however, phone detects the SD card normally. I cant even adopt the SD card via terminal.
Second problem would be that WhatsApp thinks my USB storage is on. Whenever i try to attach something to the conversation, i get an error saying "Internal storage required. Please turn off USB storage and try again." So far i havent experienced that elsewhere but i use WhatsApp a lot so i would like to fix that issue as well!
If you can help me with anything or you would like to know more details, let me know and I'll be happy to help!
Thanks!
Same here!! For my GT S6500D
Any clue on getting rid of the "Internal storage required. Please turn off USB storage and try again." while using whatsapp? it kills me!
I have sdcard connected and it's recognized by phone and whatsapp, but I'm stuck with that message.
I know this is a 2016 issue but haven't found any answers on the web :'(
