Can I ask why you need a zip?
If you haven't got a PC then use Flashfire.

Thinks for your replay because I don't want to lose custom recovery and root if I use Odin and one day I have hard brick my s3 with Odin method so I prefer zip flash method that's all

Then use Flashfire. It does everything you just stated.
By the way a hard brick is a dead device. Something you obviously didn't have.
It's almost impossible to brick a device with odin.

Almost Stuck at Samsung
Hi,
Thanks for the ROM, I've been waiting for this for a long time. I have the SM-T705 and have been running an AOSP version of Marshmallow, wanted to upgrade to the real thing.
I used Odin 3.11.1 and followed instructions on the download page. Flash via Odin suceeded, and when it rebooted, it got stuck on the Samsung screen long enough for me to do all kinds of research, force reboot, reset, clear cache, and see it get stuck again. Now I am almost done writing this post and the Samsung finally boots up.
So, all smiles now, but to anybody flashing, please note that the SAMSUNG logo stays solid for about 8-10 minutes before completing. Maybe this is because I have a 64Gig flash card installed? Who knows.

Hey,
thanks for the post and the free download mirrors. Wanted to get this update since quite a long time, but that sammobile site just always kinda kept me from doing it...
Flashed the package via FlashFire, everything except the Recovery. Tab is running smoothely and just looks beautyful. All my Apps and Setting are still there (for the biggest part, some got lost, but they were'nt too important to me anyway...) and it's just great.
Thank you so much!

Which TWRP file do you advise to download? Would be great to have a link.

hope this won't be the last update for Tab S...
Android N is a perfection of MM, and hope we will get that as well....

updating twrp?

First off I'd like to apologise if this is the wrong forum.
I'm using an old version of twrp on my i9305, 2.3.3.0 to be exact, and I would like to update it to the newest version but I'm not sure how. I've looked on their website and just found it confusing; goomanager isnt supported, it couldn't find the file when I tried using terminal emulator and I couldn't get a response from odin for some reason.
So what's the easiest way to update it for a newb like me to update it?
I believe I used the s3 toolkit last time but I'm not sure which phone to select because I'm using sentinalrom and all the options seemed to be for stock phones. No option for 4.3 phones.
Web site downloads and either cwm zip or Odin tar file .
Sorry for the stupid question but I've downloaded the cwm zip and was wondering whether I have to install cwm or can I flash it using twrp?

I've read the FAQs and can't find anything relating to this. Hence the reason I asked.
Thanks for the useful post though.

The basics would show that cwm is a recovery and twrp is a recovery . You flash through recovery .
So you have more than one copy of your EFS folder backed up good .

But I don't have "mobile Odin"...
how can I convert the TWRP IMG or TAR into a flashable ZIP?
Or can anyone confirm what the correct ADB command is? (I don't think the command from TWRP is correct)
thanks
Here you can find a download for twrp.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46874790

I wish it was this easy. Every time I try using mobile Odin it crashes, says settings stopped and boots into TWRP... I presume this isn't meant to happen at least?

I decided to give it one last try with Odin on my pc and I dont know why but it worked!!! I have no idea why it didn't before, perhaps it was a corrupted file but that doesn't explain why none of the other ways worked either. But the main thing is I'm now running the latest version.
Thanks for all your help everyone.

I needn't have bothered tbh. The only reason I wanted to update the recovery was because most roms wont install on my phone, which is the main reason I'm using sentinelrom, and I had hoped it was because I was using an old recovery but they still wont install.
This phone really is crap. I didn't have any of these troubles with my old x10. It might not have had the power of the s3 but I could flash things at least.
there are two kind of files you can download from the goo
the img file and zip file
the img file is for download mode and the zip file is for recovery mode
you can use mobile ordin or ordin in PC to flash the img file,or use the old version TWRP to flash the new version in recovery mode
Flashify is another way to update TWRP after downloading the recovery .img manually on your phone. Just be sure to install the right one for your device.
Apologies for the reply to a thread that's been dormant for a month.

Problem with note n-7000

hello I have one problem with my Note N-7000 ...
When for some reason the android system blocks, turn off the mobile phone and then turn on my mobile phone it does not start again ....
Is always the part that says Samsung Galaxy Note N-7000 ...
To return to the mobile phone by running ... have to go into recovery and flash the rom again ...
I have already installed the original rom 4.1.2 and still having the same problem ...
help please.
Never force your phone to reboot, this may be causing file corruption on your data or system partitions.

Install stock rom via odin can cause lots of problem and someimtes bricks, since large amount of data need to move via usb cable.
I suggest install PhilZ kernel then wipes, clean to install rom, then install Sweet Rom 10.5. Of course you need to download rom first.

if we take the note 3 mobil odin flash kernel app, that must work with a little modification.

Hi guys I seriously need help. I bricked my Z1 c6903. I accidentally deleted the OS by wiping dalvik, system, etc,. Im sorry if this was already posted somewhere here. Im new to this. If someone would kindly help me or give me help in unbricking my device Id really appreciate it.
PS, Z1 was given to me already rooted. It has TWRP recovery, and I know that Im really stupid for tinkering with the advanced option. Im new to using custom recovery, rooting, etc.

If you still have recovery , boot into recovery, mount usb and copy ROM from your PC.
Flash ROM and restart...
If you don't have recovery, use flashtool to flash ftf. (534) root it and then upgrade to 761 (latest firmware)
BTW, your device isn't bricked, there's missing system, that's all...
And yeah...that wasn't stupid at all...this things happens and, if you ask me- TWRP team should change that wipe options...
It's not well made...
First option should be only cache wipe and advanced should have format data and system option...

Yeap...
One thing is very important - use latest flashtool..and everything will be OK.
You'll be surprised how easy that is...
Flash firmware 534 (JB)
Turn device off, open flashtool and prepare 534 firmware, start flashing and connect device (holding vol down) connect device when flashtool ask for it, don't do that right away...
root it with binary method (just Google" binary root method xda") first link is what you need.
Install NUT recovery.
Restart to recovery, flash NUT 757, TURN DEVICE OFF!!!
And flash stripped ftf (that's kernel)
It's very important to turn device off, don't restart. (to flash stripped ftf)
I always practice to hit flashtool "start" button and wait for flashtool to ask for device, that's is the best way to be 100% sure your device won't leave flashmod

Man, I asked you do you still have recovery and you said no?!?
Use recovery to flash stock based ROMs like NUT or iHackers, flashtool or pc companion to flash stock unrooted firmware.
It won'tbe a problem if you have twrp (recovery), it'll wipe everything...
We are talking for a two hours and you are asking same question over and over again...

Brick phone

Hello to all fórum users. I need help with mine S5830. I follow a tutorial to get unlock code and after I restart phone was bricked. Now, when I power on it starts blinking. I can go to downloading mode, I tryed some versions of ODIN, as firmwares, one file and multi-file, tried under Windows 7 and 8.1, tried some drivers but the result is the same. ODIN program recognizes phone, starts flashing but when it restarts phone only starts blinking. Please help me
Please, anyone can help me, i`ve been 3 days long seeing tutorials but I can´t find what I´m doing wrong.

Can it be possible that low baterie don´t let it flash, even when flashing goes till the end?
Does ODIN V4.38 compatible with windows 7 64bits?

You must use a older version of Odin. I use a Odin version from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2609021. And try to use another cable.
Hi JanniekM00, and thank´s for the help, but the ODIN version in that page that you said is newer than mine. It is the V4.42. I tried it to but no luck. I tried with a diferente usb cable, one file and multi-file but nothing.
The version of android installed in phone before it as bricked was FROYO.
I am trying with GINGERBREAD roms. Can that be the problem?
I wanted to try with a FROYO rom but I can´t find anywere.

Hi Viper, I mean that after ODIN restart phone to install firmware, it restart but blinking, light on and off, on and off, and to stop I have to take out the batterie.
Try to installiert a custom recovery if you didnt do yet. Then install with the recovery the Rom you wish.
If you bricked your phone and dont have a backup you cant restore the imei.

Our problem is there's NO a secure way to back up/restore IMEI partition, so you can corrupt the partition when you try it
