Since Droid Turbo XT1254 doesn't yet have stock Marshmallow from Verizon, I assume you are on a custom Marshmallow ROM or @iiWoodstocK Marshmallow Brazil ROM, based on the XT1225 stock Marshmallow ROM.
You flashed it with TWRP, which means your bootloader is unlocked.
You are still using Verizon's Lollipop radio and I assume you are still using Lollipop bootloader.
Just flash the Lollipop ROM of your choice.
If you want to go back to stock Lollipop, CF's ROM is very close or you can even flash stock image via adb or rsdlite.
IF for some reason you did flash the Marshmallow bootloader, then exclude GPT.bin from any flash commands. You can't downgrade bootloaders.

I flashed "aokp_quark_mm_unofficial_2016-10-02_0936"
I put this rom by TRWP from lollipop 5.1 verizon. I do not know if the bootloader was updated, I do not think.
Then I can go back to 5.1 verizon stock by Rsd
or fastboot?
Thank you for answers and sorry for the bad English ^^

Yes. You flashed AOKP ROM. You can go back to stock completely, but you would get stock recovery, not TWRP (until you reflashed TWRP).
You can also flash CF ROM (computerfreek274) which is tweaked stock-based Droid Turbo Lollipop. You wouldn't even lose TWRP.
See here:

Thank you very much for supporting me.
Everything went well and now I have this rom.
TWRP reinstalled, busybox and Xposed and everything went well.
However, I have not been able to run the notification light.
And being in stock, if you turn on the LED.

On stock or stock-based ROM like CF, the light only comes on if you have a very low battery. It's not a message/email notification light on stock.
On the Quark, the "notification" light only works on a few CM-based custom ROMs. @bhb27 experimented and enabled it in Resurrection Remix and Bliss and AOKP maintainer uses his coding.
If you want that, and also Lollipop, then you would have to go to the Lollipop version of Resurrection Remix, which is not being updated anymore. It still works, and you can find it over in the other forum if you scroll down into the development threads -- but @bhb27 is focusing all his attention on current software.

This question is as close to mine as I can find so I hope posting here is OK.
I got the VZ OTA update (Before unlock and root) to marsh and it literally broke a few of the programs I use. Some of them will never get updates so that is out. So I would like to go back to 5. Because I did get the OTA to 6 is it possible to go back to 5? Yes I am unlocked and rooted. OR would trying one of the 7's be better?

If you are unlocked and rooted right now (I bolded that statement), yes you can downgrade firmware. But you have to omit gpt.bin in the commands. It's up to you if you wish to try Nougat custom ROMs but your question concerns older programs (apps) that need Lollipop, I thought.
Are there any comparable apps you can use? I don't know what functions these apps do, but if it's related to how the phone functions custom ROMs have many, many built in tweaks/options/enhancements.

Flashed 4.4 TMobile over Rogers 4.2.2 xt1058...

Update: The ATT 4.4 firmware seems to have worked. Everything seems to function just as it should. Will someone release the rogers ota 4.4 update that I can flash in the future? If that's the case would I follow normal flashing behavior to return to my proper firmware?
shartwell said:
The first problem I had was that this 4.4 image had some bugs(Tmobile here: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=0). The home button didn't bring me to the homescreen, the push notification area didnt work(clicking the little profile thing for wifi bluetooth etc,) and some other minor bugs.
What did I do? I tried flashing a backup of my clean 4.2.2 -- Doesn't work. Tried flashing another 4.4(dhacker i believe,) boot loop.
I'm tryign to use rsdlite to restore stock 4.2.2 image and worked through soem areas(editing the xml,) but now I get "failed to hab check for tz:0x4e" Google searches didn't return any relevant solutions for my situation.
I had got the OTA update to 4.4 while running TWRP and forgot(and was unable) to revert to stock recovery to accept the OTA update. This is how it all started. Does anyone have a solution to this error code? I just can't seem to find one(it fails during motoboot.img btw).
Ps: I heard it could be my BL being upgraded to 4.4, which peope claim can be downgraded, but I've yet to see how.

The only 4.2.2 sbf firmware file that will flash correctly is the post camera sbf firmware, so make sure you are using the correct firmware, have you attempted to reflash the T-Mobile sbf firmware again? Sounds like a full wipe was not done after you flashed the T-Mobile firmware.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have to love you guys here at XDA
I've managed to get the ATT firmware to work perfectly. Will the 4.4 firmware be added to sbf in a little while(seems the ota is slow. I randomly got it.) for me to reflash like I did ATT?

You can flash the rogers 4.4.2 sbf firmware when its available, the only thing, which needs to be confirmed is you may not be able to downgrade. Do not flash the other 4.4.2 firmware other than rogers just to be safe , people are flashing crap and messing with modems, panicking that their data is screwed and flashing back and bam dead phone. The resurrection thread works for some but not for everyone. Wish people would flash kangakat, eclipse, cm11 or gummy rom , its safer and you have stock based ROMs with all motos goodies and custom

Where can I find installation for CM(my favorite mod) for my device? I haven't seemed to find any. Might be that none has been developed.
Otherwise can you suggest another similar mod that would work for my device.
My data seems to be non-functional for ATT firmware, which is fine for the moment, I'll leave everything as is(unless I install a mod) and flash the 4.4.2 rogers when it becomes avaliable(Do you think it would be within the next couple of days since the OTA is out?)
Ps: The other option I have is downgrading to 4.2.2 than using the OTA update(which is what I should have done in the first place...I forgot how to flash stock recovery for OTA,) but it seems the bootloader has now been upgraded. I don't suppose there is a way around that to restore 4.2.2 stock?

Makes sense. Figured that was it. How can I get a custom recovery onto my phone, though, as it's unrooted on 4.4(which I've heard has no current root.)
Thank you for all the help, hope I can get cm working soon and forget about OTA in the future.

[Q] Updating DIRECTLY from 4.2.2 to 4.4.3 (Unlocked+Rooted)

So here's the deal, I unlocked my T-Mobile Moto X bootloader through Motorola's website about a year ago or so. I also rooted and didn't bother updating afterwards to anything since I had everything working perfectly for me. Now I need to update my 4.2.2 Moto X to 4.4.3 (or really anything >=4.3 just so I can use my Moto 360 that'll be arriving soon).
My question is, with an unlocked bootloader, rooted, TWRP 2.6.3.1, Xposed-installed Moto X, can I go ahead and flash a stock 4.4.3 ROM (for example from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/development/rom-stock-flashable-t-mobile-t2773675) and just call it a day?
I've been reading past threads and stuff to get back into the loop, but I just can'f find anything to answer me the simple question of updating an unlocked+rooted 4.2.2->4.4+ while keeping root. Just the simple question of, if I get a stock 4.4 image and flash it on my phone, will everything be okay?
I no longer have the passion and interest to constantly be fiddling with kernels, ROMs, and little hacks with my phone like I used to with my OG Droid and, to a lesser extent, with my Galaxy Nexus (plus I feel like it's gotten significantly less easy since those OG days).
I know (i.e. 90% sure) that one way to do what I want (kinda) is RSDLite/manually go back to stock without root on 4.2.2 and then accept the OTA, but certainly it has to be easier than that right? What happened to the days where I can just find a new Gingerbread ROM for my Froyo Droid and just flash it right then and there? Now everything is "go back to stock and do these convoluted steps."
(I'm sorry I'm ranting, I'm just really tired at the moment haha)
Thank you all, hopefully, for the help!
If you don't care about retaining your data, grab the 4.4.3 fxz and unzip it. Follow the directions for returning back to stock here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/ref-complete-moto-x-guides-information-t2603358 but replace the files to be flashed with the files from the 4.4.3 fxz. Not sure where you got the idea that you need to go back to stock. Word of caution, once on 4.4.3 there's no going back to an older version.
I have the same question as the OP, on unlocked rooted 4.2.2 ATT Moto X, can i flash a custom 4.4.4 and keep root?

You can take the ota but you need the stock recovery. Since you are unlocked you will not lose your unlocked-ness(lol) if you take an ota. But you do need to be completely stock: no su, no custom recovery, etc etc. But once you upgrade to 4.4.3 getting root back is as simple as flashing the appropriate version recovery again and then flashing supersu.

Yeah that would work as long as your radio is compatible with the rom. The rom you shared earlier should be fine. Just don't downgrade to anything pre 4.4 as that can cause issues because of partition sizes (or so I've heard). But after that I wouldn't take any OTA's cause your bootloader would be incompatible with the OTA and possibly cause a brick. If I were you I'd revert to stock and take the long way to 4.4.3 just so I can get the OTA for when Android L comes out. In fact thats what I plan on doing if the Sunshine bootloader unlock is successful. But if you don't care about that then everything should be fine.

[Q] Downgrading from 5.0 CM12 unofficial to any 4.4.x official moto firmware?

I have a bootloader-UNLOCKED Moto X XT1058 and I'm running one of the really old CM lollipop builds that came out back in November.
I love Lollipop but I miss my Moto Display, and I was wondering if there was a safe way for me to downgrade back to a 4.4.x firmware so I could get it back.
My bootloader is unlocked, but I'm concerned about any issues that would arise from downgrading from a 5.x to a 4.x firmware. Is this safe?
Thanks

I believe that CM only flashes /System. IF so, to return to a stock Moto rom, just boot into fastboot/bootloader, check the bootloader version, and the corresponding Moto rom, or a newer Moto Rom.
30.70 = original 4.2.2
30.71 = 4.2.2 OTA with camera update
30.B2 = 4.4
30.B4 = 4.4.2
30.B7 = 4.4.4
Umm. Custom ROMs have nothing to do with anything technically speaking. Unless it's an official Moto update that was pushed to the device via OTA or RSD, then it might change things depending on your carrier device. Downgrading is nothing more than flashing a ROM or restoring a nandroid in the case of ROMs via TWRP/CWM or whatever you use.
Problem one. The fact you asked this means you probably goofed up and never made a nandroid backup. If you did make one. Just restore that stock nandroid and you're set. If not. Time to RSD or fastboot back to stock.
You can always flash back to stock with RSD however, I too missed ambient display until I tried Dynamic Notifications. Totally replaces ambient display for any of the CM based ROMs I have tried.
Thanks for all the help, guys!
One last question, I'm retarded. I have the Rogers Canada version but the Rogers firmware (ROGERS-CA_GHOST_KXA20.16-1.26_cid14_CFC_1FF.xml) is apparently 4.4.2 - will it matter if I use a different firmware that is 4.4.4 (which corresponds to my Bootloader version)?

NEVER use a firmware that is for an older bootloader.. i.e. NEVER DOWNGRADE.
If bootloader version on your phone is 30.B7, then it corresponds with 4.4.4, so you MUST use a STOCK Moto 4.4.4 SBF!!!!
But if your bootloader version is 30.B4, that corresponds with 4.4.2, and you MAY use either 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 SBF. Just know that if you use 4.4.4, you will not be able to downgrade to 4.4.2 in the future.

Are you asking about flashing a 3rd party rom, like CM? or a Stock Moto rom for a different carrier/model?
I would recommend against flashing a ROM not meant for your carrier/model... There are several possible outcomes which I've seen.
It works, but GPT.BIN version is slightly different and prevents your ability to flash back to the correct ROM for your carrier/model.
Flashes "correctly", but renders your cellular radio unusable.
works ok, but no differently, and no added functions.
Keep in mind, the above only holds true for flashing a different STOCK MOTO ROMS..
NOW, if you are asking about flashing a 3rd party ROM, like CM, or other, you should be relatively safe, and be able to flash back to stock if/when you wish.

[Q] 5.1 Bootloop Question

I have read so much on this issue, that I have gone completely mad. May I ask a few questions ?
1. I had the 5.01 unlocked and rooted, but i unrooted and locked back in order to get the official OTA push from Google. ( I know, locking back is not necessary but I love the safety)
2. In this situation, locked and unrooted running stock 5.01, is it still possible to be bootlooped by an official OTA from Google? (I have that "allow OEM unlock" checked.
Basically the question is, are people running unmodified versions of the N6 still in danger?
Thank you,

No. The issue is effecting people who flash the 5.1 bootloader and then try and run a 5.0X ROM.

It should be noted that you can flash 5.1 and restore a TWRP backup and revert back but you can't run a 5.0X ROM after upgrading to 5.1. I restored a TWRP just fine when I decided to restore back to my 5.02 Terminus ROM.

The only way to get Marshmallow on a verizon would be with a custom rom that supports CDMA. I know that CM13 supporta CDMA so that one would work.
And while yes you could flash the rom from another model like the xt1095, it would lose verizon signal since the other models are GSM instead of CDMA.

tomas1pit is incorrect, if you look in other threads of people that have unlocked bootloaders with verizon, they lose signal completely if they convert to another model. He does not realize that xt1096 is CDMA, the NON-HLOS.bin and fsg.mbn apply to GSM.
You can still get signal if you change to another model, but only if you put a sim chip in your phone for AT&T, T-Mobile, etc since those companies are GSM. The problem is that switching firmware makes it incompatible with verizon.
If you plan to stay with verizon, custom roms are your only choice. If you change to a GSM company then you can use the stock firmware from another model.

No problem. Your best bet would be to read the custom rom threads and see if any say they support cdma. Or post in the thread to ask the developer if it does.
The only one I know for sure works with verizon is CM13, since I have read that some verizon users have tried it and it worked for them. I assume that roms that are based off CM might work, but you know what they say about assuming... Anyway good luck finding a rom you like.

Just a little humor. I have reached out to KidJoe here for some help. I also reached out to MotoCare and they are sending me a new MotoX (for me to tinker with some more).
I would suggest that we need to find a way to get the XT1096 to XT1095, while keeping factory bootloader to accept future OTAs. The VZW radios are out there, just will need to flash them via ADB if/when new OTAs come though.
So for right now, no other custom rom will work with the xt1096 unless somebody makes it specifically or customizes a different rom to suit it right?
CM13 and derived ROMS should work. There are other non-Marshmallow ROMs, I think.

I couldn't get official TWRP to work, but this custom version worked for me:

After I installed TWRP, I just flashed SuperSU and got root.

Where did you get this? All the official TWRP builds throw a mismatched partition size error and won't install.
If I understand correctly, if I'm not using the phone on Verizon I can install any ROM?
crpalmer posted it in the CM12 thread.
I was able to get the latest TWRP installed. Took a few attempts.
i flashed mine with twrp it said the same thing when i fastbbot flashed it but it worked i just booted in recovery any ways and it worked
