I took a zip that was already flashable via cwm and used it as a template. Like a boot animation for instance. Inside you will find a meta info folder which I don't mess with. It tells your phone what to do with the file. You will also see a system folder which contains the proper folder structure for the file you are inserting. For a boot animation you should find system/media and inside the media folder is your boot animation. For a swype keyboard you would find a lib file in system/lib and the swype apk in system/app . I use 7 zip to move stuff from folder to folder.
Hope that helps.

you should read this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928955
beyond that, just look at a cwm zip that you have on your computer with 7zip and understand the structure, then look at the update-script and try to make heads or tails of it. its really not that complicated once you understand what its actually doing.
This is my first custom animation for Boot up screen.

Instructions:
Code:
1. Copy two files into your SD card from your PC
2. Go to /system/customize/resource and rename the "bootanimation.zip" to "bootanimation.zip.xxx" for backup and also do the same thing for "downanimation.zip".
3. Use ES explorer to copy the two zip files to the location
/system/customize/resource/
4.Reboot and see the changes :)
NOTE:
Code:
1.The location of "bootanimation.zip" and "downanimation.zip" will differ from one ROM to another. (I mentioned the one in Sense based ROMs)
2. You should be a rooted user and ES explorer should be granted root setting permissions in the settings tab
3. [COLOR="Red"]Please do not mess up with system files[/COLOR]

No problem....:good:
I have recently unlocked my bootloader and flashed official twrp for one plus 3t (android pie) and have flashed magisk... I have also installed many modules in magisk which I think can be a problem but I can't remove them because they run my EdXposed framework and a lot of things which I use on a daily basis...
The main Problem >>
I can't copy my custom bootanimation.zip directly to system/media/ via root explorer and ES Explorer too...
I tried pushing it via ADB hola it got pushed ?? but no animation stock >>ANDROID<< animation, I looked at system/media/ folder and check the properties and found that size is 0.00 B
I then created a twrp flashable zip and yo amigo it got successfully flashed but still stock ANDROID animation again I checked for the size and it's still 0.00 B...
I have deleted the previous file before flashing twrp so I don't need that advice or something like that I think my system partition has been allotted a particular size due to which this all is happening... Can anybody help me here?? ??
