Hi everyone. I need help to solve my brick phone trouble.
This my history:
I tried to flash a Moto X 1058 with a different firmware to be able to introduce a subsidy unlock code. That menu is locked on carrier's original firmware. So, did it with a wrong version and mess the phone, now it restarts automatically with a "boot failure" message and battery is not charging with wall charger.
I got this factory cable mentioned in another post and when is plugged screen says "Battery ok" "Transfer mode: USB Connected" in green text, but Windows won't recognize, says: "Unknown device". Y already tried different ports, different computers, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers but nothing.
I must say that before to use the factory cable, have the "battery low" red text message and once in any of those multiple press-hold keys sequence attempts (CAN'T REMEMBER WICH ONE) I was able to connect to the phone and windows recongnized via "fastboot device", but couldn't do a flash process due to the low battery state.
Any advise? Thanks in advance.

so fastboot isn't working when you are on the screen that says "battery ok" "transfer mode: usb connected"? Your post is a little confusing. It sounds like you are trying to use rsd or something to flash back to stock FW. You can just do all of this manually through fastboot commands.
all you need to do is download the correct FW for your phone at http://sbf.droid-developers.org/ghost_rcica/list.php
unzip the file
put all the contents (not the folder but the contents in the folder) in the same directory that your fastboot.exe is in
run all of these commands http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46712761&highlight=flash+stock#post46712761

Sorry if I was not clear. What I mean is...
Windows does not recognize the phone with the normal usb cable (the one that cames with the phone), says "uknown device".
Now, I try holding Volume Down + Power buttons, then connect the phone via factory cable and screen says "Battery ok, USB connected", but pc (windows 7) still does not recognize the phone, says "unknown device". I already tried to uninstall and reinstall drivers and different computers, but still the same.
There was only one time when the phone (even with low battery pattern) was recognized by windows with the standard usb cable, but can't remenber wich buttons I pressed.
By the way, I read english better than can write it, hope you can understand but most of all, I beg you can help.
Regards.

windows isn't going to recognize it when it is "fastboot mode" which is the mode where is says "usb connected" or whatever. That is where you run fastboot commands from. If you open a command prompt window (in the directory that your fastboot.exe is in) then you can run "fastboot devices" and it will show that the phone is connected. From there you run the fastboot commands to fix your phone.
mmm no, unknown device it's button sequence matter.

In fact fastboot did not work cause windows don't recognized the devices ("fastboot devices" did not list any device). Drivers were installed in the computer correctly but was a matter on how buttons was pressed.
So if this can help any one with the "UNKNOWN DEVICE" status in windows I did it this way, with the device administrator open (only to monitor the status of your device) in windows pc do this:
1.- Factory cable connected to the phone (so the phone did not restart automatically)
2.- Press POWER button until the phone get off. Before release the power button, disconnect factor cable.
3.- Press POWER + VOLUME DOWN for about 5 seconds, then release POWER BUTTON and keep holding VOLUME DOWN until the screens turns on.
4.- Screen says Connect USB Data Cable. Connect Factory cable. Screen says: "Battery Low" "Transfer mode: usb connected"
5.- Now hold VOLUME DOWN + VOLUMEN UP + POWER BUTTON, the phone turns off.
6.- When screen turns off, release VOLUME UP and POWER button. Screen must says "Battery OK" "Transfer mode: USB Connected"
7.- Windows must recognize the phone and install the drivers.
Try:
fastboot devices
...and your phone must be listed. I recommend to do a
fastboot erase cache
I have a downgrade security warning due to a lock bootloader. Once fastboot could connect to the phone, collect the neccesary data with
fastboot oem get_unlock_data
And follow instructions on https: / / motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-b
Sometimes you recieve a "your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking" message, it's only a Device ID string mistake. Be sure to type or paste it correctly. Try again and don't forget to agree the terms below.
I could unlock the bootloader and my phone startup with a previous flash (the one that bricks my phone due to wrong firmware in a locked bootloader phone).
I hope this can help you too. Best regards
The problem.
When I boot the device it just stays at the Sony screen and does not progress any further. I am still able to turn off the device by holding the power button and the volume up button, I can reset it by holding the button longer waiting for the vibration, and I can hard reset by waiting till the three vibrations.
What I was doing up to the point it happened.
I was trying to get a custom ROM on my device, I had it previously rooted so I thought I would go further. I installed CWM on my phone I wiped data, cache, and dalvick then I went to install the ROM from SD card. During the attempt at installation I got some symlink errors with a status of 7. Not sure what to do turned off the device when I decided to put back its previous I turned it back on and arrived at the problem.
What I have done to try and fix it.
I have done the soft and hard resets, I tried using the PC companions repair tool. When it asks me to turn the device off hold down the power button then plug in the device nothing happens(I have tried this several times.) I downloaded the flashtool and the correct ftf and tried using that, but it doesn't detect my device when I hold down the volume button and plug it in. So it seems that the flashboot is not working on my phone.
Any suggestions on what to try would be much appreciated and thanks in advanced.

You probably didn't install the ADB drivers. Install them from the Flashtool folder (use the ones for TX) and then try flashing your stock FTF again. Remember to put the device into Flashmode.
Basically what happened was that while flashing your ROM the script that flashes everything deletes everything from the /system partition, then you got an error and the installation was incomplete, therefore there is no proper system to boot into. You could have easily avoided what happened by flashing a different ROM had you not powered off.

Thank you for response, I went and used the Flashtool-driver.exe and installed the Flashmode drivers, Fastboot drivers and the TX drivers. But it does not seem to have changed anything. To enter flash mode on the phone one has to hold down the volume down button while plugging the phone into the usb when it is powered off, right? Flash tool just sits at the instruction animation titled Wait for Flashmode. When I try to enter flashmode I do not get a response from either the program or the phone. Any more suggestions would be welcomed.
Thank you for taking the time to help.

Yes, that is how you enter flashmode. Turn off phone, and keep volume down button pressed while you connect the USB cable; the LED light should turn on with a green light. If you're phone is not entering Flashmode, then you might have a faulty USB cable, or there might be problems with your USB ports, either on your computer or your phone (try with different cables/computers).
Also, check your Device Manager (while phone is connected) to make sure the drivers are properly installed. If you have Windows 8, you should have had to turn of Driver Signature Checking in order for the drivers to install properly.

Yeah I turned off the Driver signature checking on my computer when I did it. I'll go buy a new cable and try a friends windows 7 computer. Hopefully there is nothing wrong with the USB port in my phone. Thank you for your help I'll let you know how it goes.
Thank you everybody for your support. My phone is now working. After my phones battery died I was able to get it charging, when it had enough energy it booted itself to the Sony screen so I turned it off and grabbed my new micro USB cable and was able to get it into flash mode. Everything is now working great. I wish a special thanks to Antiga Prime for taking the time to help me.
Hi,
I have a major issue since the update to CM13.0-20160524-NIGHTLY-huashan. I litteraly spent the whole week trying everything I found on internet in order to solve it without success.
My problem is the following one: I uninstalled the gapps to manually update it for the latest version of Android (Android 6.0.1), when I tried to boot to the recovery nothing happened the phone just restart, same when trying to boot to the bootloader. I tried everything adb reboot recovery adb reboot bootloader, I tried flashtool, I used the developper options to reboot to recovery, I tried manually by holding the volume button while restarting, I tried the flashify application. Nothing, I am not able in anyway to access neither the recovery nor the bootloader. The phone is just restarting, the led is first blue then goes red then green then red and restart. However, I have a root shell on the phone with adb shell.
If anyone have a solution, can help me please do it. An Android phone without the gapps is quite useless.
Thank you very much,
same problem,my phone is now without working android (after i tried instal CyanogenMod 13.0 Unofficial SaberMod.....still loading cyanogenmod logo) and without working fastboot and recovery so im lost :/
Hello, since the LED bar lights up this means your device is soft bricked, in which, mostly are recoverable.
What interests me is that you tried to, quote, "uninstall gapps".. If you previously have gapps, you don't need to "uninstall" gapps in order to update to the next build. Just flash the new build zip and gapps will be preserved. Also I am quite skeptical about what you did, as I never heard of a way to actually uninstall gapps. Basically if someone wants to remove gapps, he needs to format the System partition and then flash the ROM zip again..
Are you sure you failed to boot into flashmode? the correct procedure to do so is
Make sure the device is turned off
Make sure the USB cable is connected to your PC
Hold the volume DOWN button
Still holding the button, insert the USB cable to the XSP
LED will light up green, indicating flashmode
But even so, since you are on an unlocked bootloader, recovering from this brick is rather easy.
Get yourself a TWRP img file from the TWRP basketbuild folder
Open flashtool
Make sure the device is turned off
Make sure the USB cable is connected to your PC
Hold the volume UP button
Still holding the button, insert the USB cable to the XSP
LED will light up blue, indicating fastboot mode
On flashtool, click the lightning icon and select fastboot mode
On the right of the new window that appears, select "Select kernel to flash"
Navigate to your TWRP img file and select it
When flash completes, unplug your XSP from the USB cable
This will flash TWRP into /boot partition. So when you start your device, it will go straight to recovery.
Now, flash the ROM zip
Thanks for your help TechnoSparks, however, as I told you and expected even following your exact procedure my phone just restart. The led brights up bleu for few seconds then the phone put itself in charging mode. And when I said I delete the gapps, I meant that I deleted the google play store from my phone (this app was anyway not working after update). I tried to use flashtool but it is the same, can't get into fastboot mode, the phone just normally starts or put itself in charge. Isn't a manual solution on how to flash a recovery only using adb shell?

That seems to be related to your USB cable (since that is the famous issue). Can you try to charge your phone WITHOUT it stop charging (i mean suddenly the LED disappears and when you tap the screen the charging icon doesnt show)?
If it so does happens that your device doesnt want to charge, it seems to me that you are having a loose USB port which possibly from your XSP, or, your USB cable is no longer up for the challenge
You will need to find another reliable USB cable for you to try. Try to charge your XSP to see if that particular USB cable is reliable for you. Try to wiggle the wire a little bit, moving the XSP from different directions and see if it would still charge. If it still charge, then this is the USB cable for you to use. Do the mentioned steps above again.
If you insist and want to use the same USB cable, you will need to find a "sweet spot" so that the connection between your XSP and the USB cable will remain reliable.
Hello everyone,
It seems that my worst nightmares came up, and got my device bricked while trying to flash it to a stock ROM (had a custom multilingual ROM installed by the chinese seller), and now it's in a strange stage, as Windows detects the Qualcomm port, but adb can't see it.
The adb devices list is in blank, and QPST detects everything, but when trying to flash the device, the error message on the screenshot appears.
Also tried to do it with MiFlash, but didn't worked too.
Any idea about how to solve this?
Thank you in advance for your help.
P.D.: My device is in black screen, so no menu or anything.
P.D.2: Already downloaded the Android SDK in order to try it's ADB, but it didn't worked too.
Now after some research, I found out that the "ADB interface" is not showing in Windows device manager
I tried to install it manually, but can't find a way to get it working, and after the flash, USB debugging was set on, so can't figure out what could be happening...
Is it possible it's completely dead?
Any idea?
Just to say that I have tried multiple combinations while plugging the device to the PC, and didn't worked...
I mean, the PC seems to react, but always with the same end, only shows the Qualcomm port 9008, nothing about the adb...
Getting out of ideas, anyone more has some?
did you start the tool with admin rights?

Yeah, I already started the cmd with admin rights, but the problem is that adb does not works, as the device is not turning on.
As you can check in my first post, in the screenshot, after running the "adb devices" command, it doesn't gives any kind of error, just returns a blank list.

adb will never recognized it, in 9008 mode or it's called EDL, the only program that recognized the port is QFIL / Miflash. if you get an error when flashing you must reset your phone again to repeat the process by pressing power button for a couple seconds. if your bootloader already unlocked that must be simpler to do, just press power button for a couple minutes until shor vibration then press vol up + vol down and connect to usb at the same time..

Thanks for the info, I've tried the vol + and vol- buttons after the short vibration, and the PC does not detect the device...
Is it there any other way to get the device detected by the PC?
Actually, the only thing the device does, is the following:
After pressing the PWR button for around 5-7 seconds, it makes a short vibration and the notifications led makes a flash in green colour, but nothing more... If you keep pressing it, around 7-8 later, it makes a litte bigger vibration and a flash on green too... And if you continue, it does on, and on, and on...
Any idea? Anyone told me about getting a Xiaomi Deep flash cable, but I'm not sure about if that will work or not...

i've already tried xiaomi deep flash cable, and its work on my z2 plus, that's how to force phone into 9008 mode.. and also, dont add space between folder names where your firmware files there or there will always sahara fail
Hey man!
I had the same Problem!
Sahara error, no reaction from device, black screen, port recognized in qfil etc.
I found out that this behaviour of the device means, that it is in EDL-mode.
what helped ma was:
1) Unplug everything.
2) Set up the QFIL Tool completely, but do not hit "Download Content".
3) Try to "reboot" the Zuk Z2 Pro by pressing the power button for several seconds. Kind of resets everything.
4) Plug in USB
5) execute: "adb reboot edl" via adb
6) unplug USB
7) plug in USB and immediately (within a second!) hit the "Download Content" buton, just after it is clickable.
8) dowload should start without sahara error
Hope it works! :good:
Well, finally, I talked with the aftersales dpt from the shop where I got the device, and returned it, and incredibly it seems it was defective.
The guy from the tech dpt said that it wasn't supposed to die that way, so they returned me a brand new device, and fortunately it's up to date with ZUK's last official ROM.
Thank you everyone for your ideas and help, now I can enjoy this great device
My Zuk Z2 plus got stuck after TWRP, I need help badly.

I will tell my issue
I bought this device this July month, I was encouraged seeing you guys did a lot of flashing, I thought I could flash myself but it became a nightmare now.
I am not that much technical so please bare my usage of words below, but I need a real help.
I was doing the basic TWRP for getting the AICP ROM 12.1 but after wiping the data from TWRP my device doesnt get recognized for the Sideload and I did whatever I can but it doesnt detect my phone, so I am having a screen with Start "Green" which is showing the device status as unlocked and when I click on Recovery it goes to the Zuk logo and doesn't have any sign after that.. stuck really
I tried using QFIL but my device detects as 900H but not 9008 also adb doesn't detect my device at all after this.
I think I really did a hard brick of my device.
I dont want to loose hope, I want your help really badly.
For those of you who had the same problem don't give up! I was in that same situation and I solved by putting my phone on EDL via this method
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2m44xKog-dI
After plugging the phone for the second time and QFIL recognize as EDL mode I clicked on download content as fast as I could so it started to flash the ROM that I spent like 10h trying to figure a way to do it lol. Anyways, the procedure is the same as putting into EDL via adb fastboot, the only difference is that you make it through a "fake" deep flash cable as that guy in the video shows.
formerly rooted H811. I unrooted with supersu and attempted to relock the bootloader. But It didn't take. It appears to be in some in between galaxy.
I get into fastboot, but "fastboot devices" comes up empty.
Would like to lock to update to 20X. No PC, only Mac.
LG Bridge sees USB, but not phone.
Help appreciated.
You do realize locking the bootloader will perform factory reset and wipe your data. Are you trying fastboot through MAC, not sure how it is different from PC so if that is causing the issue can't help much.
Is usb debugging enabled, and you have given permission in the pop-up that pops up on phone screen when you connect it to MAC/Computer the very first time? It is possible you missed that permission pop-up the first time and now permission is denied permanently. You may wanna uninstall and reinstall LG driver/device, connect phone again, and look for that permission pop-up on phone screen and allow it. Try connecting usb cable in different usb port too, that might make the pop-up appear again. Also, remember if bootloader is altered or you got custom recovery, phone will possibly soft brick and you will need to use LG Bridge or LG UP with phone in download mode to reflash kdz. Hope this helps.
Edit: For the permission pop-up to show, the phone needs to be turned on, be in mtp mode, and usb debugging to be enabled. Then once you have given permission, you use adb command to reboot into bootloader or i think with phone off, hold the volume down button while you connect to usb cable and not let go of the volume down button till phone is in fastboot menu.
