building CM13 for trltetmo - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm currently using CMremix based on CM13, but dev has halted on that while the dev (zion959) works on bringing up CM14. While CMremix is mostly stable, my concern is tracking the MM security updates merged into the CM13 source from AOSP. The CM13 dev says the CM13 sources are ready to go, but depend on the DOK2 boot loader and modem which precludes official builds, and he's too busy to get that going. I have my CM13 build environment setup and build CM13 roms, but they do not boot. I'm hoping someone here has gotten CM13 to build for trltetmo and would be willing to share their experience with me. thanks.

Is there any cm11 roms un-buggy?

Hello to all devs! I am asking this because i see that cm 11 developing is more and more growing. I couldn't keep up with the dev of cm11 unofficial for personal reasons, so i am asking if someone could give me a heads up. I remember that oficial cyanogen rom kept the old blobs and our devs, were using new blobs. But after that there is only chaos... Could someone please tell me what is the point we are now?? What works to what rom, and what is buggy? I do not want to know what rom is better or personal opinions. Just the facts. Thank you!!!

its simple all unofficial roms using p880-dev sources (unofficial) and all official releases are based on "official" CM11 sources
unofficial ones are based on grouper blobs but there was a problem with camera so @Adam77Root made a little hack to get it work. So now camera is working ( little bit buggy) video rec is not working till Adam end his hack, but screenrecording is working here and not on official. overall IMO grouper blobs seems to give a smoothier experience than official ones, and they can give us hope to bring future releases of android on our p880.
there was also many many other thingsXD

Regarding Official CM 12.1 Nightlies

I wanted to know if we are still Dependant on unified builds of CM or could we use the new CM 12.1 night lies..??
Because it says that its been de unified again for CM12 builds..
Any work around to avoid jbbl boot loader..
Help would be appreciated..
Forget about unified builds.. We not have a separate device tree for us and these builds are specific for our device. And yes, we are still on jb bootloader.. That shouldn't concern you.. It's not a big issue

Thank you for responding...

I have clean flashed and dirty flashed de-unified CM 12.1 nightlies to my AHD with good results. If you haven't tried it yet, expect long first boot. Default install may lose root, but you probably know that root selection is in Developer options in Lollipop.

Device Tree for building AOSP

Can anyone upload the AOSP device tree for sprout to compile AOSP based ROM?
I'd like to build a proper Chroma ROM (the one currently built doesn't have supersu built in, no bootanimation, etc)
I cannot seem to build with CM's device tree, I've been messing with it all around to no avail
Thanks.

I hope this discussion help you have a look at it. And this too http://stackoverflow.com/questions/29077612/build-aosp-rom-with-cyanogenmod-device-files
Thanks, I finally figured out everything, AOSP doesn't do inline kernel building like CM so I need to make sure Android.mk exists on the kernel folder. That exactly what my problem is.
Happy to help...i hope we see numbsr of quality aosp builds from you.Aosp roms on this device has been a bit buggy uptill now.Best luck buddy.

[MM]Found RR 5.6.4 Unofficial build

Hi Xda Developers
i found unofficial build of Resurrection Remix 5.6.4 marshmallow but can't post official thread cause i haven't tried or test it or have any changelog or source , bla bla
due to my phone in sony supporting center i can't test it but if any one want to test it and report if camera work and if there some bugs
i'm sorry if put it in wrong section but this for discussing
Download
Sorry again
note: another build found now but aicp u can found it on android file host by search for Honami
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...-resurrection-remix-lollipop-t2996238/page116
Yes, I found AICP, CM 13, Vanir MM and that RR MM, more Marshmallow roms are coming
with some fixes on SELinux may be data work but
the real problem in camera blobs
some builds of AOKP fixed it but it's laggy i hope the next builds will be more stable but
i want to ask .... is AOKP ready for daily use or for dev only now
@DectonX Aokp is just missing camera. So if you never use your camera, so you can flash this ROM I think it can be used as daily ROM. And trying and reporting bugs are free. So you can try and see
@benplay i hear that some devs send on github that fixed it but it laggy
as you i installed crDroid but i faced battery problems (high Drain)
so i wait for aokp to be very stable, i don't care the camera at this time

I need to know if this build boots and if it supports arters kernel. Thank you to everyone testing these builds, you're helping hugely. if this build boots and you guys can flash arters kernel and it boot still then this should be the start of a more stable release and it should be easier for me to build updates for you.

Bug report
First of all, I wants to change my network mode to WCDMA Only for WCDMA Preferred...
There's several choice which I can use at preferred network
situaiton : When I change network type to 3G at setting it does not apply at all. So I tried to change preferred network mode at ##4636##....
But I only can use GSM only, LTE only, and LTE/GSM auto (PRL)...Default is LTE/GSM auto(PRL)
Whenever I change it to something else I come backs to LTE/GSM auto (PRL) and cellinfo always remains at CellinfoLte..It should change to CellinfoWCDMA when I change to WCDMA only but I never changes
P.S.1. I have tried everything I could do...I have done such as build.prop edit, change APN,,etc..BUT NOTHING HELPED...So I found out it was problem of CM13.
P.S.2 : At cm12.1, everything works fine
hello, tested the test and remains in the logo of cyano and arter97 kernel or boot logo
---------- Post added at 10:41 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:37 AM ----------
the logo does not rise
Okay I think I have sorted the problem with booting once and for all on cm-12.1 builds, will build and upload another test build later today.
