Spigen curved Crystal screen protection - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Accessories

Bought a dual set of these this week for the S7 Edge.
Brief summary :
- fiddly to install
- already slightly scratched during / after installation
- started popping up after a day with the Spigen Rugged Armor case
- took it off after 2 days
Not worth the money and the hassle.
In the short time it was on my phone, touch sensitivity was ok, however the screen did resist finger movements a bit more than with the naked screen.

I found the same... Most noticeable were missed touches whilst typing... And same in terms of lifting ... Just took it off and going naked... Interestingly , screen holding up well but home button has a big scratch through the middle...

[REVIEW] SGP Ultra Fine Screen Protectors

I've been using my Spigen SGP Ultra Fine MATTE screen protector for a few weeks now and I finally want to upload my thoughts and some pictures.
Spigen produces some of the best quality screen protectors that I have ever tried. I first owned one the Asus Transformer TF101 and couldn't wait until they made them available for the Nexus 7. Since I owned one of these in the past, it was a no brainer for me but they work so awesome that I want to share with you.
Here is a blurb from the website:
Code:
Ultra Fine film is a high quality film with a slightly textured film with
30% increased light transmittance. The Ultra Fine is effective in preventing
glare, smudges and fingerprints
High grade anti-glare hard coated film
Premium matte surface
Good surface hardness : 3H
No rainbow effect

What this doesn't tell you is that these suckers are thicker then normal. They aren't flimsy like other ebay or amazon cheapo protectors. This makes them easy to get on without any hassles. Because they are thicker and less flimsy, pushing air bubbles out is a breeze. Especially because their little rubber air bubble remover tool is amazing and helps a lot. I chose the ULTRA FINE because of the MATTE fingerprint resistant properties that I loved from my Asus Transformer.
I've uploaded some pictures of the process starting from the unboxing, POST-installation, and a few weeks later. I wanted to give it a few weeks because this is why this screen protector is so awesome.
Code:
I haven't cleaned my screen in over several weeks and it still looks perfect!
Truely amazing!
The Package arrives in a very nice, well crafted cardboard packaging (as pictured). The kit comes very well stocked with your not-so-typical accessories. Most "other" kits come in a cheap clear plastic bag, with a cheap card board cutout card and sometimes with a lent-free cleaning cloth. The SGP kit comes with a real nice cleaning cloth, a super awesome rubber Air bubble removal tool, and a 4-pack of dust removal stickers. There was also a nice marketing piece in there to show off some of their other products.
The Rubber Air bubble removal tool really surprised me. I thought, "No way will this be better then a credit card". Well I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. The tool is pretty tough, like a big pencil eraser that you could simply erase the air bubbles away.
The cleaning cloth feels really good too is bigger then most models you get from the other guys. This one is thicker and softer.
The screen protector itself is thicker then most and noticeable right out of the pack. There is only 1 "protection" piece that you remove during installation. Some protectors have both sides covered. In this case, the protected side is the side that has the "glue" on it. So only tamper with this when you are ready to begin.
Here are some very important notes that will make this extremely satisfying on the first go:
1. DON'T USE WATER!
- On some of the cheaper protectors, you can apply a mist of water to ease up the positioning of the protector once applied. This is NOT the case with these. These have a thin film of "glue" that actually will start to break down if wet. So clean the screen very good.
2. USE PROPER LIGHTING!
- I suggest being close to a very bright window so you can easily spot any dust particles.
3. TAKE YOUR TIME!
- Don't rush
4. ONLY PEEL BACK ENOUGH TO GET YOU GOING!
- Don't rip off the protective sheet completely until the toward end. Just peel back enough to start.
5. START FROM THE TOP!
- Align the top/camera hole first. I found this easier to actually FOLD the protective sheet back and hold it out of your way. Make SURE the top is ALIGNED properly. You don't want any overhangs on the bottom.
6. WORK OUT BUBBLES AS YOU GO. DON'T WAIT UNTIL LATER!
- Working out the bubbles as you go allows you to make sure there are no dust particles hidden in one of those air pockets. If you work out the pockets as you go, half of the screen protector would still have the protective layer on it. You can easily raise up that section of the protector from the glass and use one of the included stickers to nab the dust particle before you move on.
7. REPEAT UNTIL YOU ARE DONE!
- Marvel at the glory!
Here are reasons for why I love the MATTE Ultra Fine!
1. It's MATTE = No Glare
2. Never have to wipe off finger prints!
3. Never gets grimy (sticky) after playing games for a few hours
4. Looks superb/quality
The Ultra Fine is currently $24 but worth the extra cost for the benefits. Highly recommended!

Bonus!
The Reason why I switched to a Anti-Fingerprint Matte?!
I am a IT Tech. I was working on a military base for 2 weeks and using my Transformer religiously. Tablets back then were semi-new (iPad 2 had just come out). I was talking to one of the girls who seemed interested in my tab and she briefly mentioned how nasty they look from all the fingerprints. I hadn't noticed before but after a long day, they really piled up and with the screen off, they glared out. I was trying to persuade her how awesome it was, yet she didn't even want to touch it... and that's not very sexy at all!
So I researched and found SGP Ultra Fine and purchased a protector for my Transformer TF101. Never looked back. Having your screen look amazing all day, every day without constantly cleaning it or wiping it down is a curse lifted. Long live SGP so they can protect all of my screens in the future!
Great review man!! I've used SGP before for my Inspire 4g and the protection to me is awesome. Quick question I've never used the anti glare/anti fingerprinte matte ones, could you comment how it feels? I know it won't be glass like but I kinda don't like the ones that feel too grainy if you know what i mean. thanks
Really good review! I have a eBay Matte screen protector and it's actually not bad at all. I love how the screen looks now as it's matte and anti-glare, finger prints are barely an issue as you say.
I actually like the way the screen feels with the matte. It is still very smooth; it doesn't feel grainy. To me, it just feels better, even with a stylus. Perhaps I'm just used to it from my Transformer. The AntiGlare and FingerPrint Resistance is a solid win to me (on top of protecting the screen).
Most LCD/TV's have a MATTE screen. Rubbing on some LCD's around the office, it is similar texture/feel... but the SGP is slightly smoother.
Love SGP.
It's a better "swipe" experience than clean glass, IMO. Viewing outside, GPS use, etc... and the Matte really shows it's worth. Plus no prints
RF
P.S. Steam up the bathroom and get some surgical gloves.
How is it with the rainbow issue matte screen protectors tend to have? I bought a cheap one off Amazon and it was terrible. I don't want to make the same mistake before ordering this

I'm not sure what you are referring to. I don't see any rainbow effect.

is the matte screen protector grainy? I remember getting some matte anti-fingerprint screen protectors for my G2 back in the day, and it made screen look hideous and grainy.

Screen protector that actually covers the entire screen?

Can anyone recommend a high quality screen protector that covers the entire screen?
Spigen's 2-3 mm gap on each side is NOT the same as covering the entire screen.
Can someone comment on Zagg?
I don't think any of them go right to the edge, because the glass is not perfectly flat.
It is slightly rounded off toward the edges.

I heard from a manager of Realook that it will be launching a soft protective film that provides 100% convex screen cover for the SGN II. I will post a review and some pics once I have mine covered. I am told that he will be getting the supply within a few weeks.

Will the S pen leave marks on these soft ones?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
I have the zagg "smudge proof" and it doesn't scratch or leave marks with the s pen. Also has absolutely no rubbery feel, orange peel effect or sticky feel. My finger glides better across it then the glass itself and is actually FULL screen. It is a wet apply but I didn't have any issues at all. (Normally I hate zagg for the rubbery orange peal crap but this one is great)
I bought it from best buy just fyi.

I bought this off ebay. I previously had the one from sprint store in but it only covered screen and the stylus scratched it real easy. Ive had this on for 2 days and no scratches

XOSkins goes damn near right up to the edge.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009KT4ONQ/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00
is pretty darn close to the edge on mine and fits well around the top speaker and camera hole, although it is just a straight cut out not invididual holes for everything but for $4 shipped seems I have no complaints compared to the zaggHD or skinomi I had on my GS3. Stylus is not leaving imprints but I have only been playing with it for about 7 hours so far
Me too. I've been looking everywhere for a 100% decent SP for my note but none available atm. Sad really. The one who makes kne can stand out fron the crowd :s

Moshi IVisor Anti fingerprint, Anti Smudge Screen protector is available on the AT&T website. It fit edge to edge on my original Note (of course i was using one made for the OG Note) and im going to order this one for my Note 2. It was thick (not too think) and really resilient. And i really likes the schnazzy black coloring around the buttons Although on the website it says it will ship within 14 business days but is available to order. I dont know if that means it's on backorder or what but, im going to give it a try anyway. Its totally worth the money. I had it on my OG Note for 6 months and after countless use of finger, spen, drops, and rough encounters with sharp edges, it lasted through and through. I even was able to remove it, wash it, and reapply it no problems.

I am currently trying this one now,
http://www.bodyguardz.com/screenguardz-samsung-galaxy-note-2-cases-screen-protectors-covers-shields-skins-films.html
it covers the entire screen but jury is still out on how good it is. They say it takes 72 hours to fully cure (gel application) but in all honestly, it feels a bit soft.
Those wet application protectors don't play well with the S-pen.
Has anyone tried the liquid armor from dynaflo?

I was planning on using that and a flip case.

Glass screen protectors and touch delay

I bought a Pro Glass curved screen protector from Walmart and everything fit perfectly, felt nice, and looks great. But the touch on the back and recent button made you have to push harder and a little of the same issue typing but not as bad. I figures turning on glove mode would fix this, but Samsung being awesome decided to remove that feature.
Any solution for this?
Zagg is even having a hard time getting this right. I'm still using a tpu protector for this reason
Just tested the Glass4M Protector, not delay feeling. So far so good.

Skinomi clear, case friendly, review

I was apprehensive about tempered glass, waiting to see mpre reviews on the Whitestone dome, until then I decided to try skinomi clear version.
It's pretty damn good. Very thin, can BARELY tell it's even on the screen. Installation went smooth and it's hugging the corners well. Spen workin fine.
I have the spigen tough armor case with kick stand. The tiny gaps where the screen protector don't cover are actually kind of protected by the raised edges on the case.
I know it's not shatter proof but I do have an extra layer of protection in case I throw this thing in my pocket with keys. Best part, like 8 bucks on Amazon prime for 2.
Pics or it ain't true.....[emoji16]

I just installed the Skinomi as well. I wish it was a couple of mm's wider. I hit the edge of the protector when I activate the edge menu. Over all it is the typical super high quality protector for which Skinomi is known. Been using their protectors since the HP touchpad and they make the highest quality non-glass protectors around.
Skinomi has three versions. Full edge to edge, case friendly, case friendly version 2 which goes out a little closer to edge. I bought both. I received case friendly today and receiving version 2 Tuesday. Have yet to install

Got the case friendly version. Prefers this over the version 2 as the version 2 always get lifted when I put my case on. Be generous with the spray bottle, iron out as much bubble as possible. Give it a few days to dry up all the remaining bubbles, then you are golden. I think these wet protectors actually protect your glass from breaking when it falls better than the glass screen protector. Just my opinion.
Well I installed case friendly this morning and it doesn't work with ringke onyx case - it lifts the bottom corners. Going to have to cut into both bottom corners with some scissors to make it work.

Spigen Galaxy Note 8 Screen Protector NeoFlex surprisingly good

So I've tried about 6 different glass screen protectors on my Note 8 with no luck. So I decided to grab the NeoFlex one from Spigen. I'm actually kind of impressed with it. It went on almost perfect (had 2 bubbles but they disappeared after 2 days). I'm using it with the Spigen Tough Armor case. There seems to be no sensitivity issues with my finger or the spen and the screen feels pretty good, not like the plastic screens of old.
The only issue I have so far is there is 2 spots on the right side that have come off from the curve, but I think its because I didn't center it perfectly when I applied it. After a week it hasn't gotten any worse though.

Full screen adhesive? Pics?
well its not glass, so I guess there is really no adhesive. Its one of those spray on ones. Here are some photos.
isnt this 1 with a matte screen? thats the only beef i had with this had with this and removed it after 3 days. Such a high res screen and the protector brings it down!
