[Q] PDA code and updating question

So, If I install a rom that doesn't have the same PDA code as my mini will I brick it?
For example, If I install this stock rom (latest) with my PDA starting with S5570XX....
Nordic countries, 2013 November, Android 2.3.6, PDA S5570XWKTZ
Will I brick my phone or will I have any problems with it? I'm from Spain.
Also, can I update from froyo to GB with the firmwares in samfirmware.com?
Or do I have to install the rom that is on the tutorial?

Any firmware from
Samfirmware should work. Go flashing!

Urgently need indian firmwares

Guys anyone please upload indian firmware ddkq5 i need this firmware urgently i cant find this file anywhere and one link of hotfile is unavailable.

i dont seem to get OTA updates,cause i have a branded AT&T phone using simple mobile network on it.can anyone please post a link to download this update please.

If you want to do it through ODIN looks like there is a wait for the files. What you could do is go to ATT hotspot or wifi network and update it , that way. Unless I am missing something.

Thanks Jay for ur response, When i check for updates from the software update page, all i get is same check back after 24hrs.most upgrades i have done is via odin, so its an odin link i would def nid.

I´m from Argentina. I have a S5 AT&T SM-900A baseband: G900AAUCU2ANG3.
I want update my KitKat 4.4.2 to stock Lollipoop 5.1 or 6.0.1 Marshmallow but OTA has not updated by country restriction.
I´m not Root user.
1-) Is dangeours update? Can I downgrade if it would not work?
2-) Which method is better ODIN or other?
3-) Which android´s version 5 or 6 better works in this phone?
4-) Any tutorial? I have seen http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...w-to-update-to-g900aoi5-5-1-unrooted-t3235774, it works in my phone?

if you know someone in the states, send it to them and let them do it and send it back

You should just be able to download the firmware and flash through Odin. It will update everything for you. The only problem is it will factory reset your device. So backup everything. Once you update to 5.0 or above, you can not flash back to KitKat. Just unzip the file, open Odin, click ap, find the file, then flash.

To update ROM, the baseband is: G900AAUCU2ANG3, what rom is compatible? Or the baseband doesn´t matter?

Yes. It's only one file. It takes care of kernel and modem. You don't have to do anything else besides flash the one file.

OP,
You will not be able to update the smg900a as long as you are on a network other than at&t . I have the same model and it came with kit kat .

Please be sure to back up your info . You can use your internal storage if you dont have a SD card to store the two files.
