I like how she emphasized the ability to throw our tablets into anything. Yeah I don't think I, or anyone of us here, would ever through our tablets regardless of how much protecting it has
$6 from china...i got one in black and it's really great quality

I don't post much but i had to post this. If you have a nexus 4 get a case ASAP. I have had many phones before this and i have never seen a phone crack so easily. I have Thrown my vibrant and nexus s ( not new of course) and they never shattered. This thing fell out of my pocket onto the floor while sitting at my desk. I measured the distance at approx. 2.5 feet. It looks like i flung it off a cliff. Gorilla glass my ass. I could understand if it cracked but this thing had chunks of glass coming off of it some of it splintered into my thumb.
Ha, another one of these threads? They're cracking me up

my room mate dropped his off the couch and it hit the corner just like yours. hardly a ding. get a case!
Unlucky drop. Now stop creating threads about cracks! It's getting annoying.

You'll be considered a troll before the end of this thread

God, I am so scared to even use this phone before getting a proper case...GOOGLE WHEN CAN I ORDER MY BUMPER
People seem to forget the definition of a troll. Oh well. As to the guy with the room mate it did not hit the corner it fell flat. but thanks for the advice ordering a temporary tpu case as i type.I am all for cases i never had a phone without one i just could not find any store around me to buy a temporary case while i wait for something form otterbox or something similar. I am not pissed just shocked at how much damage. I only posted to let others know not to hold out on a case and get one ASAP until they find something that suits them better. But ill let this thread die since it seems like the CRACK crack police (pun intended) is on the prowl on the forum.
Ouch, that's painful to look at.
Mine fell off my desk which is probably just about the same height. Slid off my wallet. <_>
It came out fine though... I'm really glad too. D:
Sorry for yours!
Rather unfortunate

I'm getting real worried about how delicate I have to be with this phone. My nexus s was a tank at taking abuse

I flung this thing off my lap, it hurled 3 feet away and from 4 foot high. It spun in the air, landed on cement and skidded on its face......not even a scratch...no case.....do I want it to happen again...hell no. But this guy just got unlucky.

Anyone else slightly regret not going with the s4? Not that I don't love this phone, it's just that there are some things that annoy me. Such as the back and home buttons not responding sometimes. Then there is the horrible vibration that has me turning off haptic feedback. Which sucks because I loved having it on with the s3.
Honestly the haptic feedback thing is what is killing me. This has been an issue since the OG EVO.

No regrets here.... But if you're with in your 14 day Window you can always go check out the S4...

People still use haptic feedback?
...why?
I have no regrets with my purchase. TouchWiz can kiss the tip. Sense 5 is far superior.
Sense 5 is the only reason the phone is still in my hands. But on Thursday, who knows what I'll have. Maybe the S4.

One of the first things I turn off on a new phone is touch sounds and hepatic feedback. Not in the plan if you are looking for optimum battery charge life. This is just my humble opinion of course.

I think your purchase will be worth while either way. You are choosing from two top notch phones which is pretty smart. Get the one YOU feel comfortable with and boom....great choice...you happy....da da do.

Yes sir, I got my father's day present a little early! I am loving this phone so far! Good to see you over here as well!
very nice phone. sense 5+solid shape, feel and materials.
if samsung gets rid of the plastic, chrome ans overly exhaggerated rounded edges.. i'll buy.
sense tho is the selling point for me.
camera is crap on the one. imo.
No regrets.. I could care less about th S4
From My htc ONE.
I would rather shove live piranhas up my butt than trade my One for anything samsung.

I've commented on this in a couple of other threads, but picking the One over the S4 was a no-brainer. The S4 is nice, it's definitely fast, but grip ergonomics are where it matters for my personal tastes. The One is far better designed I feel than the S4. Somewhere along the line Samsung forgot that cellular phones are used by human beings who typically have hands smaller than an NBA center. Also, thickness isn't even a competition here - the S4 is like a brick compared to the One.
The One, especially the black One, took the best design concepts from the iPhone 5 and improved upon them significantly. The phone feels right. I'm sure the S4 is great, but this phone is better for me.

I'm saying that unless my local Sprint store had the S4 in some kind of protector case that I didn't notice, which was possible because I put it down almost the moment I picked it up, I held a phone that was marked as the Galaxy S4 that was considerably thicker and heavier than the HTC One, and it didn't fit into my hand at all. I could easily be wrong - the difference was so clear holding the One that I was quickly turned off by the S4. Being $100 cheaper also helps. My apologies if I have incorrectly spoken on the dimensions of the S4. I'm just recalling what I personally experienced.

No apologies needed, but the S4 is definitely thinner and lighter than the HTC One, it is confirmed. Not only that but they are pretty much the same length or maybe the HTC One is a little taller. The S4 is wider though.

Floss is a GO! If one of the tech blogs were smart they would snap this guy up.
It begs the question.. with whom, if anyone, is he affiliated? I know that he has said in previous videos that he buys all his Verizon/Sprint devices on his own, which can get a bit pricey when added to all the accessories he reviews. Does his YouTube channel bring in enough to offset a large bulk of his expenses?
I love his videos and continue to put more stock in his reviews that most others.

I think in a lot of ways he says the exact same thing every review our there does. they all hate plastic which is fairly ignorant, metal is not more durable for a phone not even slightly. really if anything, it's just another subjective review.

I wanted to share a short story about an incident last night and about how tough this little tablet is.
Last night I was heading out to get pizza with my daughter. I figured I'd bring my N7 so that she would have something to do while we wait. As I strapped her into her car seat, I set my N7 on the top of the car. I'm sure you can imagine what happened next... Not only did it fall off the car at highway speed, it was raining quite heavily. After realizing my mistake I stopped and started searching the side of the highway. After about an hour of searching I found it in the ditch. Luckily, the property owner had mowed the grass. I picked it up and hit the power button. Somehow it had survived hitting the pavement and bouncing several times with just some minor scuffing on the corners. The screen was completely unaffected, and the rain seemed to just clean it off a little.
Amazing little device...
Wow... That is insane

JK, Cool Story Bro. The N7 is a touch little cookie. My son managed to crack his screen by rolling around with it and a metal airplane toy. But mine is going strong. I've dropped it a few times and don't have any scuffs that I can see. I have mine in a Portenzo book case though so it's well protected.

Wish me some if that luck! Just got mine today, and the protective case won't be here till next week. The N7 arrived just after I had added more cracks to my Galaxy S3. I've been carrying this thing around with both hands like it's made of eggshells.

Ha! When I clicked on this I figured this was just another frustrated owner that broke Thiers by setting it on top of a feather pillow and breathing on it funny. Glad to hear yours survived.
