I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 on 5.1.1 (Sprint SM-G920P)
I tried downloading and failing to install xposed stupidly. So then it was stuck on a bootloop. I then again stupidly did a factory reset thinking that it'll fix the problem (but it only got worst in my opinion) i then flashed twrp and tried to install the uninstall for xposed but i couldnt uninstall it because it wasnt any data folder to put it in since i ****ing did a factory reset. Anyways then i got frustrated and did an advanced wipe and cleared all the data... I am now just stuck on the "samsung galaxy s6 ... Powered by android" screen and i need help . I literarlly tried everything
Black and white Samsung logo showed up.
Initially I could only get to blue Downloading screen
By observing and trying various described ways I finally got to the Android recovery menu.
My current procedure to get there is here:
Turn off holding Down+Power
The b/w Samsung logo will automatically come up and stay that way forever
Hold Down+Power+Home until screen goes black and move finder from Down to UP while still holding the Power+Home
as soon as black and white Samsung logo comes up AND continue holding UP+Power+Home until Android flashes and recovery menu comes up.
Then I did go through the described wipe cash, and factory reset and some more wipe cash with reboot system in various combinations and always ended on black and white Samsung logo screen.
Tried to flash sboot but failed.
Then the new firmware showed up for sprint and i tried flashing 2 firmwares (G920PVPU3BOJ7_G920PSPT3BOJ7_SPR and G920PVPU3BOI1_G920PSPT3BOI1_SPR)but both succeeded but is still on the samsung logo screen
From the recovery menu only power down selection is useful as it does turn the phone off until I turn it on. The power button does not power off – it just boots back on.
Apply update from cache gives yellow text in the bottom of the scree: “APPLY_CHEK is deprecate.”
I have no clue how to use e.g. first 3 menu items.
Reboot to bootloader – just brings the b/w logo .
View log displays row upon row of things I have no clue about – pages of it.
On the very bottom of the screen – in yellow – there are two lines:
“dm-verification failed…
Need to check DRK first…”
Please help. — Max

To my understanding, what has happened to my phone is that it is trying to boot recovery while SafeStrap is getting in the way.
To walk through the process of what happened:
I used SafeStrap to install XNote and everything worked just fine, I used the updater script and everything.
I was in XNote and I was looking through all the settings when I accidentally pressed "Reboot to recovery"
The phone did the normal splash of "Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and had the blue "Recovery Booting" text at the top.
Of course then SafeStrap Decided to show up. All three of the following resulted in the phone failing to boot(black screen and it just sits there): Waiting for 10 seconds, Pressing "Continue" and pressing "Recovery"
I even tried booting into Download Mode to try and reset this, nothing seems to work and my phone will not start up.
I didn't realize download mode on this phone is actually only Volume Down, Home, and Power, and not Volume Up. I got it into download mode and rebooted. This post can be deleted now.

Hopefully you guys can help me with my problem. Recently, I downloaded the new Marshmallow app drawer from Android Pit's "Here's how to get Android Marshmallow's new app drawer on Lollipop". It was successfully installed and seemed to be working fine. However, Google Now gave me a message saying that it was not connected to the microphone and that I should reboot my device. Thinking that the actual reboot key combo was power and volume down, I did this and this brought me to the fastboot page. I selected and entered the power up normally option on the top, which the booted my phone to a completely black screen, from which only the "power off" option would show if I held the power button down. I was confused and concluded that the app drawer somehow soft bricked my phone. After reading up on the web, I went into recovery in the fastboot screen, then selected clear cache. Two lines of orange text appeared at the bottom saying that the cache clear was starting and that it was finishing. I hit the power button, tried to boot my phone up, then, recieving another black screen, brought back up the fastboot menu and tried to enter the recovery screen again so that I could factory reset my device. The recovery screen gave me messages about how it could not load the cache, and since then has been flashing on a set interval on my screen (going black, showing the broken Android with "no command" then going black again).
Any ideas on what I can do to fix this problem?
note: (I have not rooted my phone)

What is the actual model of your phone. Did you have an unlocked bootloader with TWRP?
The black screen problem can only be fixed by doing a factory reset. After you get into the screen with the dead android and an exclamation mark. You need to press power and volume buttons to make a menu appear. Then choose factory reset. Unfortunately you will lose your data, but this will fix it.

I have solved the issue... I believe it was stuck in some sort of loop with the revovery mode, because that was flashing periodically on the screen. I was eventually able to get the recovery screen to actually stay on the screen and then reset it. Thanks for the quick reply!

I have solved the issue but the actual model is the Moto X 2nd Generation Pure Editon without the bootloader unlocked for anyone with similar issues. Thanks for helping out!
I'm having the same issue today with a Moto X Gen 1 after accepting Verizon's OTA upgrade to Lollipop. Only I can't boot to recovery.

I'm still having the problem that you were facing and cannot get out of that loop sequence. I've booted over and over, tried to launch recovery and nothing... I see some yellow text at the bottom only briefly staying that something couldn't load, then back to the dead-droid/red triangle (no command) for a split second, over and over... I am stuck.

I'm having this exact same problem too! The 'dead droid' just constantly flashes over and over, so I am unable to do anything. There was one time when I held power and the low battery icon showed up with a yellow exclamation mark triangle, but I haven't been able to get that screen again. I contacted Motorola and they told me to try and go to settings and do a factory reset... I just told you I can't turn on my phone! What the hell man. I have tried so many things online and none of them worked. From what I'm reading the only was to fix this is to flash a blank bootloader, but those files haven't been released yet.
The worst part is that I have only been using this phone for ONE DAY!:crying:

okay so after several guides and steps, i finally got my Moto X (1st Gen) working again using the tutorial here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWDwyqUF6k4
Essentially i flashed a custom recovery like the PhilZ Touch recovery here http://www17.zippyshare.com/v/40132571/file.html by renaming the "philz_touch_6.58.7-ghost.img" file to "boot.img" in fastboot mode and rebooted after that.
And that was it, phone rebooted and is working fine.
Hey guys,
So I'm having issues trying to fix my Samsung Tab A 10.1 ( SM-T510 ).
At first I was trying to install a custom TWRP recovery image, and I had a boot loop where it kept getting stuck at the SAMSUNG splash screen(not the initial samsung boot screen that shows TAB A 10.1). I however overcame that issue by factory reseting and through some additional tinkering.
Now the part I'm starting to regret.
I tried once again to flash the custom TWRP to the tablet, but this time I forgot to tick the "autoreboot" setting off.
So ODIN shows a PASS for the flash, but now when the tablet boots its stuck in the following boot sequence:
START:
Initial Samsung boot screen asking to press power button to continue due to unknown boot image source etc
PRESS POWER
SAME INITIAL SAMSUNG BOOT SCREEN minus the power button prompt, lasts for about 3-5 seconds
REBOOT
Now I have managed to get into download mode with the tablet connected to a computer.
I CANNOT get into recovery mode to factory reset the tablet, which was the solution the last go around.
I am starting to think that the only way I am going to get the tablet back in original working order, or any working order for that matter is to:
A: LOCATE original firmware for my device, I believe it is GTAXLWIFI firmware for my device. However the files I have found don't seem to be accepted in ODIN...
B: Try to continue on with the TWRP process, which I have tried to reflash the TWRP recovery that I have, and it shows pass. But, the issue persists.
Any suggestions or help would be amazing!
Thanks!
Timing is the key
Set your finger on position where you gonna restart the device.
Hold power + vol down
After the screen restart switch soon as possible you finger to set to recovery by
Hold vol up + down + insert the USB C cable
Remember timing is the key. I have done this for several tabs that screw on my home so you are welcome bro

I think "restarts" may be confusing. Switch from down to up as soon as the screen turns off.

You can use frija.exe to get the latest stock firmware. To get TWRP you MUST boot to recovery before system. If you allow the tablet to boot to system first, it will overwrite TWRP with the stock recovery. Do this by pressing vol down and power till the screen turns off. As soon as it does, switch from vol down to up while still pressing power and keep holding both till the red warning message appears. You also need to leave the cable attached to the PC while doing this.
Got this phone with black screen and stuck on logo issue.
When I turn it on it shows the first startup SAMSUNG M31S powered by android logo.
And the problem is that it stays like that the whole time. The letters darken a bit when its close to the final boot up of the system which is normal but it should show SAMSUNG animation not this screen whole time.
The screen stays frozen like that. When I press the power button the screen turns off and it doesn't come back when I press the power button again. I have to force restart it by power + vol down or just turning it off the normal way by touching turn off on the screen but of course the screen is always black until I power it on again from powered off state. When its plugged into the charger(powered off) it shows that its charging just fine.
The touch works. I hear things when I plug it in. I turned on talkback and when I touch a part of the screen it tells me what's happening but the screen is black the whole time.
Download mode works. KG state is Prenormal I have no idea why, its on stock rom. I flashed correct stock didn't help
Recovery also works. I noticed that when I clear cache or wipe data while it does wipe just fine it also shows this message before the wipe "pdp no scenario"
In the recovery logs I noticed this error as well unable to set property ro.boot time.init.mount.cache so that might be a clue.
Can someone help me with this one? Its on android 11. I can't flash combination file because of the error "please get approval to use factory binary(PIT) "and when I give it PIT file it says the same but at the end its (bootloader) instead ( tried patched odin same thing unless there exist a way to bypass that security.
Thanks!
EDIT2:Added one more image(recovery logs error message)
I was able to unlock it even though its black screen. Will OEM unlock allow me to flash factory binary?
EDIT: I checked OEM option and long pressed in download mode. The phone's screen is now frozen on the "this device has unlocked bootloader...." screen. It boots up just fine but it stays like that until I press the lock screen and it doesn't come up again..
EDIT2: I tried combination firmware it didn't want to flash same please get approval message...
EDIT3: I was able to install twrp. What now? I can see some green color does this indicate display damage? I also noticed this greenish tint on the stock recovery too but in download mode and at the first startup logo no green is present. Why would the display work on recovery and download mode and bootloader is unlocked on this device screen but not work past that????

I've uploaded a YouTube video. I replaced logo.jpg from param.bin with my yellow image to test the colors and as you can see it shows some green, same green as in twrp so ye its the display most likely.
EDIT:
After flashing the PrishKernel the screen is stuck but after sleep I can wake up the screen and at the bottom where the navigation buttons are there is some noise type of image the rest of the screen is black. And its responsive if I press power button the bottom part turns on and off.
Brother you solved the problem??
I was trying to go back to stock after having Lineage installed but it crapped out during the install. The tablet is now stuck on the SAMSUNG logo screen and it seems impossible to do anything to get around it. The only button combo options that work are power+vol down which reboots and power+vol down +home which puts it into download mode. I've tried reloading the stock firmware and twrp using Odin but it always results in the same, the tablet reboots then goes to the standard android update screen, says it's doing an update and then reboots and it's back to the SAMSUNG screen. Nothing I do gets me into recovery and while Odin connects I can't get ADB etc to.
Any suggestions other than throw it in a drawer and forget about it?
TIA
Ok I got further. I left the tablet for the battery to die, then fully charged it, plugged into the PC and then started with the recovery key combo and bingo got the No Command screen then the standard recovery options. Deleted the cache and did a factory delete/reset and it's alive again.
