Thanks, but thats is not the problem of my phone? Things is that mine resets or just poweroff after 30 or 40 secodns.

Lol sorry. .let it keep rebooting until it dies. Once it dies boot into download mode over and over again until it wont anymore (completely drained battery). Then charge it until about 15% and turn on and it should be fixed. If not do over. If still not update on here.

From watching the video it does say you need a network connection so you need to connect to wifi. When the phone turned off its because you hit the button that says turn off phone.

I was only sayin from the video how it looks. Number one and mainly it clearly says you need to connect to wifi, you dont. Number 2 and as it appears, the bottom left of the screen says Turn Off Phone (right before the phone appeared to turn off) And it looked as if you hit it with your left finger/thumb. Obviously youd know better what you did and i sure as h am not wasting my time arguing with you over what that is. If thats not what you did and the wifi is not the issue what was the video for.

I mean....

Maybe go back and try hitting the other button. you may have thought that was a back button as it usually is, but they switched it to turn off phone and the other button is back to wifi and if you didnt hit and only wanted it to look as if you did at the very least try connecting to wifi for the setup. its a google security lockout due to phone being reset like from the recovery rather than through the phone settings

Stuck in boot loop, PLEASE HELP, screen is fragmented on every boot

So the issue i am having is the phone is in constant boot loop, while it is pixalated only on the upper have of the screen. i have tried the 3 button combo; the vol + and power; vol - and power. What happened was, i was in recovery mode looking to update the kernel for the serendiptiy 6.4 rom i had. After it installed from my sd, I rebooted the phone and hasn't booted up right since.
Here are some specs and extra info:
Carrier: AT&T
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S sgh-i897
Rom: Serendipity 6.4
Experience: Semi-advanced
any good help is greatly appreciated. Please help. And yes i have looked everywhere on the forums for a similar case and have found nothing.
You didn't look hard enough.

thanks but thats not the issue i am having, here is a video i took showing what i mean. I have a youtube video but i cant upload it since i am new to the forum.
Can you get into download mode?
No, it just loads a rotating spindle for as long as i hold the combos together. then when i let go it goes to the at&t screen, except only the lower half of the screen. if that makes any sense.

Ok I understand now. I think it's possible get download mode back using a windows program, I don't know how myself though. If I find an old thread that explains it I'll post a link. Hopefully someone else can jump in and help.

Ok thats what i am trying to look for also. Oh and when i plug it in to my computer, the computer does not recognize the phone. Is that as simple as downloading my phone drivers?
Yes download the drivers.
try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_Plus/GT-I9001#Download_Mode
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_Plus/GT-I9001#Soft-Bricked
Wow that is almost the exact same thing i did. Well i will give it a good ol american try, and follow up when that part finally arrives.
yup the jig did the trick, thank you.

Yeah, same thing happened to me today I read that it is something to do with the bootloader, which can cause the tab to be bricked if not done right, so I'm going to try the ASOP JB instead see if that does the same thing.

Nope Dosen't work still the same when I install the AOSP (spelt it right this time), any pointers here would be great, I do want to try and fix this, I've been waiting for ages for the official ICS, but couldn't wait any longer so spent some time looking on how to do this and was amazed at the speed of JB, but the screen keeps flickering after standby. Anyone know step by step guide to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks Mike

Battery rapidly draining. Help!

Haven't yet found a solution to this online and hoping someone can help me out. Motorola Droid Turbo running 5.1. Phone was fine until just a couple days ago. The phone now gets really hot and the battery is rapidly draining, even if I'm not running anything and just have the phone on the table with the screen off. The only way to stop this I have found it to put it into airplane mode. When I look at the battery usage, it appears that "cellular network signal" is a solid red bar for the whole duration that the phone isn't in airplane mode. It's like there is an app that is constantly using cell service (this is whether or not I'm on wifi). Basically, the phone is behaving as if I'm on a phone call, nonstop. Tried killing apps, clearing cache, just did a factory reset, which I really didn't want to do, but even that didn't solve the problem. HELP!!!
TIA!!!
I had the same problem .
One day decided to downgrade to kitkat .

Did you check to see if "Location Mode" somehow got changed and isn't on "Battery Saving" anymore?
Every once in a while mine gets changed from not paying attention to a prompt about locations. In fact, I just had to change mine back again.

It seems that your radio is creating the problem. I think the best way is to re flash the Radio of your phone.
It seems the reduced battery timing is the result of heating of the phone which is generated by the processor (probably the baseband processor which controls the radio functions ).

If you are unlocked then manually flash the radio using twrp.
If you are locked than Google for Rsdlite.

I think it's more that the radio is constantly at full power trying to establish a connection, and it's particularly inefficient in that state. I was in a very rural area the other day and while it was determined that I was connected, it was voice-only with no data; the phone got quite warm, and pretty much stayed that way until I got back within decent range of a tower. Battery life was pretty terrible as well. Not a good phone to go far off the beaten path with, it seems...
If your cell signal level is a solid red line with no yellow bits, that means it's completely disconnected because it can't find a signal, and outside of airplane mode will continually "search" for it. Like Nido said, if you're not unlocked, you're going to have to flash a full firmware package in rsdlite. This'll get your radio firmware up to date (if it isn't already) and clean your modem stats (which I would bet is where your problem actually lies).
If you are SunShine-unlocked, you can flash the clean_modem_stats zip in TWRP and that should hopefully fix it.

Just to respond, I haven't taken any action yet. I did previously change the battery, but that didn't seem to solve the problem. Then yesterday the battery lasted at least 12 hours with modest use. Today, it's been on for 4 hours so far and battery is at 86% and the back feels cool. Now I'm totally stumped and not sure I'll do anything to rock the boat. However, it is having trouble connecting to wifi for some reason, so there's that... Not sure the issues are related...

You must have use some battery app to analyze the behaviour of battery during charging and discharging cycle n it will assist you to caught the real source of problem....
As for as i know wifi is also the part of Radio package. If replacing the battery do not resolve the issue than there is another bugg which has to be caught...

Ok, I am *so* sorry to be that guy, but how exactly do I flash this radio? I moved the .zip file onto my phone and booted into the bootloader but nothing really jumped out at me as being a good idea. Sorry! Would be most grateful for some guidance.
Hey all - anybody able to help? All the instructions I can find for flashing a radio involve a radio.img file, and there's not one in the package I downloaded above. I really don't want to brick my phone by experimenting - would greatly appreciate any advice as to how to flash this!
Thanks a ton!

If you are taking about the clean modem file, it's not a radio. It's like a cache cleaner for your radio/modem.
Boot into TWRP recovery and go to "install". Flash the zipped file in "install" .
Thank you Chazz!! Just flashed it and so far phone is running cool as a cucumber. Will be out of town for the next four days so if this has fixed the problem, I will be the happiest dude in the world! Also, occasionally the phone has been *really* sluggish, taking forever to respond to key input, etc. - I'm thinking this may all be related. Looking forward to finding out!
Hey all - quick update. The radio cleanout appears to have helped some, but still every day I'm having to leave my phone on a charger just to make it through until I get home. I think it starts to "obsess" about something and it gets super hot; often I'll restart it in hopes it will "forget" whatever it was thinking about so hard and often it does. This is really crippling me - is there any chance a custom ROM would be any help? I'll try anything!
Here's a screenshot from just now - 53% and just 3 hours left!
I would be deeply grateful for your help! Only when our phones don't do what they normally do do we really understand how dependent we have become on them...

I guess without root XDA members don't give a screw.
Fir this phone the other forum is much more active.
What are your thoughts and experiences on the update so far? WiFi seems much faster battery seems just as good.
Just got the update yesterday myself. was excited to see that it was 7.1.1 but got annoyed fast that it broke my admittedly already broken Bluetooth. (wouldn't turn on) But after backing everything up and a little bit of stumbling through the "restore" part of a full reset everything is running great as far as i can tell. I like the new launcher but i don't like that I can't do away with the "most recent" apps thing at the top. i just don't use it and don't wan't it there if I'm not going to use it.
The update broke my phone. Hooray.
**edit** Ok, so updated the phone. I got an error saying Recovery was unreadable, booted in bootloader mode... Rebooted, same thing. Shut off the phone. It recommended to use Software repair from Verizon... So plug in the USB-C, fire up the phone... It boots up to the splash screen and freeezes... Then 10 minutes later, REBOOTS TO RECOVERY?!
So I try and do what I can in recovery, but to no avail. So I reboot it again... And let it go. It bootloops 4-5 times and eventually boots up! So I thought, cool. It's fixed. Nope! I reboot, and I'm back in phone limbo. Stupid POS. :\
So I factory reset... And now the phone is even more broken than before. YAY!!!! This is the worst update ever.

Anyone else noticing improved battery life after the update? I did a full factory reset after the update because it broke my Bluetooth but its been running great for me. I didn't get your luck, since the first small update in beginning of July, nothing but trouble, phone overheat (huge drain) reboots often (more drain) and weird unused app battery usage... Since August update, no improvement same thing...
I used to be able to make 2 days or a little more if I'm lucky... Now barely a day... ?

Nexus 6 WiFi stuck at turning on

So i've had this issue for a while now. It started off inconspicuously where my phone would hang and reboot everytime it wasn't plugged in to the charger and the wifi was turned on with charge less than 60%. This caused a ton of bootloops so I figured it was a battery issue and i've ordered a new battery. Also, i stopped receiving OTAs from google so i had to manually flash factory images to update my nexus. Now, i had this problem where the wifi would get stuck at turning on but after a few reboots it'd work. However since flashing the N8I11B update (i realized later that i should have been a little more thorough with my research as this was for Verizon users only) my wifi just wouldn't turn on. It's stuck at turning on and refuses to switch on at all. I flashed the MOB31T version of 6.0.1 and still no luck. I did notice duing setup that the MAC was set to 02:00:00:00:00:00. I tried resetting the network settings but no luck there as well. I'm getting my battery changed soon but i know that has nothing to do with it. I hope its a software issue and not a hardware one because that would mean changing the motherboard and i might as well just buy a new phone with that money. Oh, also data services work fine its only the wifi that isn't working. Also keep in mind that i know nothing about linux shell scripting but i'm willing to do whatever it takes to fix this issue myself.

My bluetooth works. Only wifi is giving problems. No, only stock android on my phone
This happened with my phone. It's an issue with a batch of the Nexus motherboards I believe. Some batch of motherboards made by Motorola have an issue where the wifi chip begins to die after 2-3 years.
If your issue is what I think it is: The only solution is getting a replacement motherboard.
Otherwise, you can try opening the Nexus and reflowing the wifi chip. It worked for a couple of days in my case, but only temporarily. Ended up having to get my mobo replaced.
