Hi folks,
I took some photos using my Z3 Compact last night, then when I saw 85% full, transfer data flash up I transferred the photos to the sd card.
I can now only access a few of the photos which have come out fine. The others seem to be there, appear to have the correct file size, but I get an error message......
I've attached a screen shot which shows top left how some of the pictures comes out in Google Photos while the remaining images are in the Album app

Looking again now, none of the images appear to work in the Album app.
I've also attached one of the "images" for people to try opening - at least, I tried to but I'm getting an "upload failed" message. I'll try uploading again in my next post in this thread.
Fingers crossed someone can crack what I need to do.
Cheers for now,
John

Unfortunately a known problem of multiple Xperia models. You've got Android Marshmallow, don't you? But wait, looks like fixes are starting to roll out - good news from the Xperia M5 users here: www.xperiablog.net/2016/10/25/xperia-m5-gets-firmware-update-with-sd-card-fixes-30-2-x-1-21
Also mentioned here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m5/general/update-available-t3487184
or here: https://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xper...-after-Marshmallow-update/td-p/1150050/page/7
I'm also waiting for a fix (for my wife's Z3 Compact), until then I keep photos in internal memory (not on SD card) without any problem.
I just bought the brand new X Compact for myself and have no issues with photos on SD card - so Sony seems to know the solution
BTW: The pictures you are not able to open, are probably gone forever (irreversibly corrupted) - look for backups or copies e.g. on Google Photos.
Cheers for that, spot on with marsh mallow

1-download the file : DOWNLOAD
2-put the file on your phone
3-open ROOT EXPLORER
4-do a backup of “livewallpaper.apk” in “system/app”
5-copy the file that you've downloaded into “system/app” (overwrite it)
6-restart the phone and set your live wallpaper
thanks!

Works great! Although I'd prefer a bit more quality on the background. I figured it should have been better being a direct pull from the Nexus S.
Anywho, I sorta remade the static background of it last night pretty quickly on my laptop with no mouse since I dig the design. Maybe those of you with the Nexus Revamped Pro edition may want to use it with a custom background so it looks a bit better.
Thanks for this. New look for today.

It's not a direct pull from the Nexus S. This is just a look alike made by the3dguy. The real one will look nicer when we get it.
Ahhh I stand corrected. Only one more day I suppose
Found this in yet another system dump people are doing. Still doesn't look that crisp.
Hi everybody.
Today I found this news. It has LG Revolution system files. Also those guys found there Netflix.apk. I tried on my Nexus One with ROM CM7 Nigthly 18. It's installed and even accept my login and password. After that I could see my Queue, but if I tried to load any movie it always doesn't show anything and sometime shows error message.
"Sorry we could not reach the Netflix service. Please try again later. If the problems persists please visit netflix.com. (1005)"
I know that according to the news my hardware should support DRM libraries and Nexus hardware doesn't support it.
So my question below. Is it possible to made something that this apk start works and shows movies.
View attachment Netflix.apk
Original of the article on androidcentral. I couldn't insert link here, but article has been published today.
i like where this is going...
I'm trying this.
Some people are thinking that Netflix hasn't flipped the switch to get this running until the device which supports it is released.

Same thing on my wife's Optimus S. I didn't have high expectations going in...however, it does allow me to see my Queue, and add movies to it... which is awesome. Can't wait for the day I can watch movies on an Android Tablet will be great for travel!

Install the Netflix app from the marketplace if you have a n1. It works like a charm!

hi guys, i've recently recieved a Xperia Z C6602 as present
been using it for a couple week now
great phone, however
just a moment ago, i was tried to take some night photo shots
and found a small problem with the camera
hope if anyone could help me, coz it's kind of annoying
the HDR and all the other function seems to work fine
photo under auto ISO setting is no too bad
however with the manual ISO setting (with or with out HDR engaged...)
i have found that the displayed image on the phone screen before photo taken, from ISO 100 ~ ISO 400
is actually much darker then the actual photo taken!
but the ISO 800 ~ ISO 1600 seems to be with out this issue (and ofcoz auto ISO also do not have this problem)
for example
[ISO 100]

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
[ISO 200]
just wondering if anyone have the same problem?
is this a bug for the camera? or is this normal?
i had a bit of look online but didn't find much in regard to this issue
tried to play with the setting, changing the photo size, still didn't help
i really love taking photos
was using HTC ONE MINI before this
and changed to Z now with much higher res, it's awesome
but this problem with the display before taking photo is actually very annoying
for that, i can not see clearly, and predict the outcome of the photo this way
can anyone please help?
bump....
can anyone help please :crying:
tried to contact sony, haven't got anything back from them yet....

Hello,
I ordered my Moto G a day ago and i'm waiting for it to arrive. Meanwhile i was searching about the product on youtube and i found a video in which the video creator says that we may not be able to install applications on the SD card. Is this true ?
Thank You
I don't think so. Got several bigger apps on it and they run without any problems.

wrong answer!!!
On kitkat you can't install apps, or move apps to the sdcard unfortunately... I think that there are some methods to do it, but as I have a nexus I don't know this...
Basically you can only use the sdcard for photos, videos and music
The "extra data" for some apps or am I'm wrong?

Yes u can move the app to the SD card but not all the data is transferable. Still some part of the app data remains in the internal storage.

ok, that good then...
"Folder Mount" requires root but lets you shift everything with a little effort.

Suggestions are welcome!
Took a look as I was curious as to what happened in my local area around the last weekend. Hallowen is always a good time to be looking at pictures of a location; so many great costumes, etc.
However...
Installed the app. No settings changed. Press the search box, type in "Mannhe", get Mannheim, Germany as an option, press it, and the whole app crashes.
I am running an unrooted Galaxy Note 4.
Like the concept of the app, and it's a simple enough and clean interface... I just can't actually use it.
