Rooting cause warranty loss?
Hi everyone,
New to this forum.
Bought Limited edition honour 4x Nice to have such a great thing in hand.
I am a big fan of rooting as it (use PCs internet to phone) saves my money a lot
I have seen in many of rooting procedure, it is mentioned that rooting will cause the warranty loss.
But I have seen many of you have already rooted. Does the warranty loss holds true to this mobile if rooted?

Download the Rootgenius.
Download the Rootgenius,search from google and install in your pc and connect your phone,be sure that usb debugging is on when you are connecting your phone to pc.One thing is that you have working internet connection on your pc because this root software download some usb driver file of few mb.You root your mobile in less than three minutes.

hi guys i succesfully done bootloader unlock on fastboot mode (huawei honor 4x phone)
now i have a question how to installl
TWRP 2.8.4.0 recovery.img file on phone i have to use fastboot mode and install teamwin s/w via adbtoll (fastboot) mode
r there is an other way pls guide me thx i am doing this reading tis post thx

I have got the unlock code from huawei for my CHE1-L04 (india version). Can someone post a newbie step by step instruction with screen shots to how to use the unlock code to unlock the phone and rooting process also. This will help so many users in the Indian sub continent.
I have rooted my device successfully by using the steps in http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/huawei-honor-4x-inidan-edition-che1-l04-t3099308. There is no need to visit the 03 links given in starting of the thread, if you have unlock code of your device.
struck in bootloop, urgent help needed
i just rooted my mobile unsuccessfully. it got struck on bootloop. i saw it somewhere else and found that bootloader unlock wasn't required for indian version. now i have rebooted it in fast boot.
please can anyone tell me which files to download and how to flash them since the mob struck in bootloop after i restarted it or else there was no problem with root. i already tried clear cache and data but it didnt help in any way.

i did an silly little thing without thinking, and flashed a nokia 2 with another O/S version without unlocking the bootloader from developer mode,
i was on Build NO 00WW_0_55B - as now it says your phone has an different o/s installed shutting down in 30 seconds,
is there anyway to unlock the phone again or is there an link or something with the 0_55B firmware i cant seem to find it this it for NZ...
i can still get into download mode so i can reflash, but i cant get into hard reset recovery mode....
can someone help please

I was unable to find E1M-037C on Nokia 8 forum, could you kindly provide a link of a trusted one? Will it work with TA-1007?

I unlocked and rooted my p20 pro with magisk. I have the CLT-L04. I was wondering if someone could help me figure out where to get the updated ota files and how to flash them with fastboot. I have done some reading although it is unclear.
Also unsure if it's worth keeping my phone unlocked since Huawei won't be providing codes in four days.

Hi there bro! Noticed that you might be from Manila, too. I am also using a Huawei P20 Pro and on the verge of rooting. Been using Samsung mobiles for the past 4 years and have rooted all of them. Got the P20 Pro 3 months ago and somehow I cannot go on not having it rooted hehe.
Here are some notes:
1. I got the unlock code for the bootloader 2 days before Huawei stopped giving them out last month.
2. I have downloaded the TWRP (praetorian version)
3. Got Magisk v16.0
4. ADB and fastboot ready for use on mac.
A couple of questions:
1. Is it a good time to root now?
2. Why do some unlock/relock their bootloader??
Looking forward to your pieces of advice. Thanks in advance!

to answer your questions:
1. Rooting is a personal preference. IF you're rooting to flash customs, there's no really available custom ROMs for this device at the moment. IF you need apps that needs root access and don't care about warranty, then root.
2. Not sure about his one. I don't see any benefit of locking BL aside from the disabling of the annoying "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" warning when booting. Maybe claiming for warranty....

Hello everyone, i have one question..i've posted on some posts but didnt get any answer, so i have to start new post.
I have updated my Mi A2, via OTA to Android Pie, after that i have unlocked bootloader and root it (installed Magisk).
And now, i would like to install MIUI 10.
Is it possible and what is the right way for that, has anyone tried?

Yes it's possible, just follow the guide to install MIUI 10, I did it without problems.

Did you unlock the bootloader critical? If not, that's the problem
If you have unlocked bootloader and critical partition flashing, and still have problems to enter EDL mode, try on another PC and USB 2.0 port.

A friend of mine has a Redmi note 9 (merlin), his device recently got into a bootloop, and he can't really use it anymore. He's not a technical person, so he hasn't unlocked the bootloader or messed with it in any sort of way..
My first question is, how did the device get into the bootloop? Is it due to a hardware defect, or did the software just randomly get corrupted?
My second question is, how will i reflash the stock ROM? I know that in order to fix this, I'll need to flash the stock ROM to the device, but the bootloader is locked, so how can I do this? Does Xiaomi have a tool to reflash stock even with a locked bootloader? Or do I need to flash it as an update via an sdcard or something? Does fastboot work on xiaomi devices with a locked bootloader? If so, should I flash the image using fastboot? How would I go about doing that?
I'm quite experienced with Custom ROMs and Recoveries, but I've never had to reflash a stock rom before, so I'm a total newbie to this. If anyone here could help me out, then my friend and I would both greatly appreciate it!

You can flash safely using fastboot, even with locked bootloader.
Official MIUI has signed images, so them will be flashed without issues.
If you can't enter in fastboot, the spflashtool is the only solution.

Ah, its VD171. You know a lot about this device, do you know why it began to bootloop in the first place?
Only who caused that knows.
Alright, apparently I misread his message. He says that the phone is stuck on the Redmi screen, not the MIUI screen. Doesn't this mean that it's stuck on the bootloader, as its not reaching the MIUI screen, so it must not be bootlooping. He says he took it to a repair shop, and they claim that it is a ram/motherboard fault. I doubt that this is likely, could anyone help me with this matter?
I can think of three posibilities:
1. It is stuck on the MIUI screen, but he is calling that the Redmi screen.
2. He HAS messed up his device himself, probably wiped the OS, and now is stuck on a loop at the Redmi screen.
3. It is actually a fault in the phone.
