i just used firewater and weaksauce to unlock s-off and root my htc one verizon 1.56 hboot 4.4.2.
everything stated it was successful. bootloader shows unlocked, s-off and i installed twrp successfully.
i attempted to flash viperone and skydragons rom. both installs successfully and then it stuck in a bootloop. i have downloaded the rom multiple times.
i cant get pass the boot loop.....
tried wiping davik, cache.
tried using fix permissions in twrp but it fails.
help please
So just because your phone doesn't boot, you immediately blame firewater/weeksauce? Right...

What TWRP version do you have? Some of the newer ones are unreliable. I myself use 2.7.0.4b by cschmitt and it works very well.

Are you flashing roms from this forum? If so, that's your issue. These are all GSM roms. You need to go to the Verizon One forum.

LOL, yeah, that's the issue then, mate.
The verizon m7 is also known as m7_vzw, whereas the european LTE variant is called m7_ul.

i just read that the ViperONE rom is for all variants. GSM and LTE....i installed that rom 3 times and it would still get stuck on boot loop....
im trying a rom i found in the VERIZON HTC ONE forum NuSenseSIX-Max. hopefully this one works.
so i tried CM11....twrp sideload failed stated the rom as for "m7vzw" and that my device was a "m7"....no idea what thats all about.
but then i tried the NuSenseSix rom, it flashed and phone is now working =) thanks guys!
really wanted to use the VIPERone. ill keep messing around to see if i can figure out what the issue is.

Your phone isn't a GSM unit. It's a CDMA unit (and has different hardware from the GSM units).

dear friend,
i just had my htc one s-off with firewater , and then tried to install viperone 2.6.0, after the script ran successfully in twrp 2.7.1 with aroma installer , my mobile is stuck on htc start up screen and constantly restarting, though i am able to enter into recovery.
then i flashed viperone rom again with same result, ultimately i flash ruu specific for verizon and again repeated the procedure but cant go past the start up screen
i am s=off , supercid, unfortunaately cant even have a stock cid with repeated attempts, it keeps saying, failed to write invalid cid,
please friend help me,
only reason i purchased one is because i want to run custom rom on it [ like viperone, insertcoin and all other awesome roms]
Il help as best i can but youve posted in the wrong thread for help.

But i will suggest going into TWRP or even stock recovery and wiping the cache and possibly data too. only wipe the data if you are ok with losing all your music pictures and sdcard contents.
if this dosnt fix it. then you are either on a too new of a bootloader version or a too old of a bootloader version. though thats just a guess.
the cid change rejection thing sounds a bit concerning though. What cid are you trying to change to? and what does the command lien say cid you currently have?
Or maybe u flashing wrong firmware and Rom. What device do u own?

thats possible as well but im sure aroma would have rejected the install if the modelid didnt match but not sure if all aroma installers do so.

Your phone is s-on, their is no RUU that will work with your phone
use this GURU Reset and choose yes to stock recovery and radio and no to root during install
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358543706
it's also a good idea to factory reset before flashing the Guru Reset
Also you need TWRP 2.6.3.3 to flash the Reset correctly

It all depends on when you updated the phone before flashing custom recovery
if your on 5.11.401.10 your phone should update normally ...this software matches your CID
However if your on 6.09.401.5 and it tries to update it will most likely fail
I'm not sure how many .401 updates their are after 5.x

no just leave it unlocked
Just purchased a second hand HTC One (M8).
Turned out to be a CDMA variant, bootloader shows M8_WHL, which is the Sprint variant.
When I got the device, it had a locked bootloader but was S-OFF with SuperCID (11111111) and running stock ROM.
I rooted it, by unlocking the bootloader and flashing TWRP.
After this, I handed it over to my friend, whom I forgot to tell that it was a CDMA variant, so he treated it as a GSM one.
He didn't notice the M8_WHL part and changed the MID to 0P6B1000 and left the CID as is, downloaded 6.12.401.1 (which is the MM ROM for International M8), flashed the RUU.zip and tried to boot the phone.
Phone will not boot now, if one types the reboot command, it just goes back to Bootloader.
TWRP can not be used correctly since it shows Internal Storage as 0MB, which I think is a bad sign.
So he gave it back to me, I downloaded a Sprint RUU (exe) from the HTC website, didn't detect the device so didn't flash it. I tried copying the ROM.zip from the exe RUU but it turned out to be corrupt.
I downloaded the RUU zip from XDA, also turned out to be corrupt, when attempting to flash it through htc_fastboot, it shows an error:
"remote project does not have sa key to decrypt ROM"
Is the phone bricked, or is there any way I can get it going again?
Please help!
Thanks!

Try a factory reset, if isn't working you need to flash ruu.

The stock firmware, you need to read some threads to understand how to flash your phone...
