I seen that... Hopefully one of our great chefs (DotCompt) can figure out a way to port it or at least get some of the features from the rom on our HD7.
Seems like there are parts of the rom that would run on the HD7 or possibly give us a little more of a stable build of 7.8 at any rate.
Probably would be easier with the 8S ROM, since some of the hardware components are similar (need to create NT drivers, since CE drivers won't work with WP8)

I was reading somewhere due to new security features on the boot up of the phone that this is meant to be harder to achieve. Not 100% sure though as I am no genius when it comes to this.

basically this will work if
1) the OS has these componenets
2) the hardware has these compoennts
if u remove all of them , Eg,. older wp7 devices contain none of these
then it will not work
it may be possible to dump the wp8 rom with ce drivers perhaps

another question is can the rom partition of current wp7 devices have space to to take wp8 in?

hi, there is a clrcad.exe/Haret.exe which you run from within winmo which will then boot an sd android.
search here for the program.
when i tried it last it was veeeery sloooow, almost unuseable really.
i did install a Scoot CyanogenMod which was about as good as it will get on the hardware.
now i'm in here again i think i will give a nand version again as i really dont use winmo anymore.

I saw in another post that the kernel source got released, Im new to this, I was reading a post about how to create custom roms and all that, and i was wondering , we do need root access to get the system files and all that to begin working on a rom ?
What i wanted to do was basically a full stock lollipop rom, but with the Axon Software ( Camera, Dolby Digital, and a few other things ).
I dont have any background expirience creating roms, but whats leading me to this is , loving the phone but hating the toggles, and a few other software bugs ive encountered.
I have some programming knowledge, and I will make this my little side project if theres any chance for it to be done. If anyone has some background and wanna help/teach me, ill be thankfull.

I know right ? Well, If by any chance it can be done, ill keep trying. I guess first we need root.
I would like to support this and I have some java and c++ programming experience. The only problem is that there hasn't been any word on root methods or bootloader unlock methods. Supposedly ZTE phones come bootloader unlocked already, but I haven't been able to prove this since we can't access the bootloader via fastboot :/ if we can at least get root that would be a good start.
Marshmallow on Axon Elite?
Hi all,
I came across this poat while checking for new ROMS. If this checks out I would happily go for the Elite as the price point and features are value for money. For those of you who do have it can you confirm that this is actually a Marshmallow ROM.

That's what I thought but beyond that has anyone managed to actually get the ROM and verify it to be working?
I am on the cross roads for a new phone.

I am on the Lux model and it's full of Chinese software that I can't even read and I have no access to google apps.

I was hoping to get the Elite and be able to flash it as the phone had a lot of potential!
You need to install Google Play Services and Google Services Framework. You will need to sideload these apk's. You will need to Google them.
Please, how can i upgrade my ZTE AXON Elite to Android 6.0? Is it posisible? Thanks

When will a custom ROM appear for the Axon Pro?I hate all these chinese stuff and i would like to have the option to reset the phone and redo all the Gmail account,without the phone asking me for the last gmail account.I bought the phone from a friend and i did a reset later that day and it kept asking me for the old account.It sayd that the phone was reset and needs the old account and i couldn't go forward because it kept connecting to google and asked for the old account.I had to use my friends account again to use the phone.I want a simple rom,without this stupid connection to google and other chinese stuff.Any idea when a rom will be available?
No clue but now that you have your friends Google account you should be able to delete it and add your own.
I'm surprised that there isn't any custom roms for this phone yet,i mean its a phone with 4gb of ram,810 Snapdragon so its pretty powerful.

Why didn't you just do a factory reset? Also, Chinese stuff?

I did a factory reset and it keeps saying that the phone was reset and i need to enter the gmail account that was previously entered.I also tried entering 15-20 time in a row ,because a lot of people say on forums that on note 4 and other phones if you enter the wrong account,the phone will reset and it will let you enter another account.On ZTE this doesn't work .

Nothing new for the AXON PRO?
I am wanting to add a custom ROM or just get rid of Amazon on this R1 HD. I also need root. I am confused by the Roms that are in the forums, most say discontinued, does that mean they aren't being developed for anymore? Also I read that the camera doesn't work with custom Roms. I will definitely want my camera to work. Can I just get a non prime stock ROM with all functions of the phone without Amazon? I read some of the guides but don't want to jump into this without newer info on what I'm doing. The phone came in the mail today with 6.6 installed and I have not updated it.

There is only one custom rom that has working camera. the zen rom has camera that works.
the non prime rom will also work good for you.
yes the roms listed all say discontinued, because the developers working on them have stopped .
to root 6.6 read the F.U. amazon dirty-cow thread or the unlock tool thread (also uses dirty-cow)

the phone is fine with root and recovery, exposed works good. All the mods you would like (mostly)
what more would you want?
The stock rom is barley modified from pure aosp, as far as i can tell. You are right we couldn't get cm to build but my opinion is it works just fine for dirt cheap phone. and has been solid device without (knock on wood) bugs.
Do guys here offer to do root services for people? Didn't see anything in marketplace. Ive been trying for a few days with no luck. Tried following like 3 different guides and running out of options and really want this thing rooted

also you have to go to the razer website to get there mr0-1-2 downloads.. you cant be updated to the newest one .. you have to downgrade to one of those MRs and then do it. i accidently dod that myseld and got stuk in reboot.

If you could get your device unlocked (depending on your carrier) you should have no problems with rooting (via Magisk).
