Signal (Open Whisper Systems) on rooted phone with Xposed - Xposed General

Hi,
I am trying to set up a complete 'de-Googled' Moto G (2014) and am having problems with the final 'registration' phase of the Signal set up. The phone is rooted and running the latest Cyanogen Mod (Marshmallow) for the Moto G. After providing my phone number and pressing 'register' Signal does nothing. Before installing XPosed framework and modules Signal would ask for Google Play Services. This indicates that something's working but not quite all the way.
The XPosed Framework (86) and the XPosed installer (3.1.1) are active. The modules 'FakeGapps' (1.1) and 'This App Will Run Without Google Play Services' (1.0) are both installed and activated.
Any ideas would be most welcome!

Nothing here sounds like a root or Xposed problem at all. The problem seems to be from the lack of real Gapps. Can you try putting back real Gapps and seeing if that makes it work?

SIngal uses Play Services to work so use either Silence or Conversations apps (available on F-Droid). microG Gms Core might help too.

[Q] Xposed Framework is causing Google process and google play services to stop

Ok so I am working on a Verizon LG G3, and I've downloaded Xposed to do a few simple tweaks using some mods directly from xposed as well as tweakbox. Every time I install xposed and reboot the fisrt thing the phone does is tell me google process has stopped....twice... then google play services stops and an error notification stating so pops up every three seconds....Is there a fix for this or a workaround? Do I have to wait until the framework is updated to try again? when I uninstall xposed everything goes back to working 100% normal with no error messages....Anyone have a clue whats going on?
Switch off or delete "Remove location consent" module, new Play services crash with it.
THANK YOU!!!! I have had this issue pop up randomly and could not figure out whats happening

Would you like to try again elsewhere?

[Q] Cannot find working Xposed for Note 3 N9005

I have tried many versions of Xposed, from the newest down to version 18 I think it was, but the further back I went, the worse it got. The framework installs fine each time (for each version tried) according to the message within the Xposed app.
Basically I cannot find a working version of the xposed framework for my N9005 Note 3, it's not carrier branded apart from the boot animation, there are no carrier apps at all, it's almost entirely stock.
I still have it running the original 4.3 Jelly Bean. Baseband N9005XXUBMI6
On the newer versions of Xposed, I get no signal and it makes the phone a bit laggy, and various other things misbehave. On older versions approaching and including 18, I started getting looped force closes on Android Media, Bluetooth Share, Contacts & Messages (which didn't go away after uninstalling xposed), and the options in the top of the pull down took ages to activate and toggled themselves on/off. I uninstalled each Xposed version, then wiped the xposed cache & data before final uninstall (before trying a different version) each time. And I also did the reboots after installs as recommended.
Only thing I've done to the N9005 is root (of course), superuser, TWRP (recovery) and using TSF launcher, and I don't think these last 3 would be triggering a clash/problem.
Was really looking forward to using some Xposed modules but for now I had to restore my backup from when the phone worked. I see other people with Note 3s (maybe other models) working Xposed fine, just wondering if the Xposed team can help by supporting the N9005 or telling me that I'm somehow doing it wrong. (or anyone else who can help).
Thanks
hummm, i can almost see someone asking for a logcat
Sent from my LG-D805 using XDA Free mobile app
On same phone. Never had any issues on any rom with Xposed. Try another ROM. I run Crashrom kitkat.

Xposed Framework

I have recently had a need to run Xposed Framework on my TouchPad running cm-11-20151116-SNAPSHOT-jcscullins-tenderloin.zip. My problem is that I am unable to install the Xposed Installer apk, it just sits at the install screen with cancel and install buttons at the bottom. Tapping install does nothing, cancel exits the installation. I have tried de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v32_de4f0d and de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v33_36570c with the same results. What is the proper way to install Xposed Framework on my TouchPad?
I had a similar problem about a year ago. I read an article somewhere that suggested apps that control your display can be the source of the problem. I remembered I was using the Urbandroid app Twilight. Once I paused or temporarily disabled the app I was able to click the install button for the APK.
On another note, I am using CM11 KitKat 4.4.4 developed by Milaq. No matter what version of the
xposed framework I install, it will not allow me to activate the framework. It just gives me a long technical error message that says my SDK version and my ARM processor version are to blame. I hope you will experience more joy than I have.

Xposed doesn't seem to work on 20151116. At the very least, 2.7 does work on 20150113 but battery drain while sleeping is still an issue on that build. Were either of you able to get Xposed working on 20151116? Did you have any luck with the Xposed 3.0 framework?
Did anybody try this?

[HELP] Xposed modules not working after reboot

Hello! So, I woke up to some modules uptaded today, and as usally I rebooted my phone so I can see what's new. My modules are currently Android N-ify, Assistant Enabler, Lock screen clock mods [L-M] and Pixel Navigation Bar. When I rebooted Google Assistant was not working so I tried installing various old versions that worked before, but anything happened. I tried disabling all the other modules to see if there was any compatibility problem between the new updates but it still didn't work. When I enabled all the modules to use my phone at least without Google Assistant but comfortable with the UI, any of them worked. It is weird since they were working after several reboots. Xposed says it's active and that the modules are working but I clearly see they are not. My root access does work since Xposed-non-dependant apps are working. I hope you can help me and I thank you in advance.
Edit: I forgot to say that I'm running Android Stock 6.0.1 on a moto G4.
