I did a quick search and was only able to locate the following links for your device.
http://www.osroots.com/root-lenovo-vibe-c2-root-lenovo-cell-phone-osroots/
http://mobilespecs.net/phone/root/Lenovo/Lenovo_Vibe_C2_K10A40.html
The Root options, if available, are fairly new and not widely known yet.
This is probably the best results that I can locate.
I wish you the best of luck!

I can't answer that...
Try posting it on a thread that is involved in that Chipset.

I own a device of the same chipset MT6735P. I could easily gain root access by using kingroot app. Kingoroot is another app to give a try. Both of these apps have a Windows tool as well. Give it a shot and let me know the results.:good:

I tried root with the Kingroot app and KingoApp. With neither of them I succeeded. I think it is not yet possible to root in this model. There's just waiting.

Eh..... root for Vibe C2

Any news about root Lenovo Vibe C2?

Not root and not unlock bootloader

Guys I'm no expert....
But developers...plz try unlocking and root by following same method used for
Moto E3 power ...which has same specs...and chipset and everything

I managed to modify the system partition on a downloaded image, but failed when I was going to flash it back to the phone using SP Flash Tool. The partitions was signed, and I think that made it fail. So no solution yet... :/

No, you don't root the chipset you root the firmware. And the firmware is applied different by different manufacturers. On this device, you can't access Vol up from fastboot fx to do a OEM bootloader unlock. Others, like Sony, encourage the Open Source community by having an official way to unlock the bootloader. Others do everything not to.
There is two ways of rooting, either to be able to unlock the bootloader so you can flash a custom recovery (like TWRP) or using an exploit inside the system itself to gain access to the system.

I did it with locked boot loader on a z3, getting my z3+ upcoming week and technically there is no big difference I think…
The app is partly in chinese but does not unlock the boot loader for you some no harm done
Bad luck still they haven't cracked new Z3+ code, say unable to root. Find attached pic

I believe there is a way to root this phone now, but at the cost of losing the DRM keys forever. I'm not technical savvy and so I do not know the consequences of losing the DRM keys. See below for the link to the post which lets you root sony xperia z3+ for both single and dual sims.

u missed the thread title mate. unlocking bootloader & missing DRM keys are not what most of us looking for in the first place for Sony devices.
BTW it seems that bounties like this ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/xperia-z3v-general/bounty-z3-d6708-root-t3059181 ) worked.
Most of the Sony devices of late gained root through bounties like above. So if every owner of Z3+/Z4 shell out a small amount, then we'd have "exploit hunters" on the hunt which would give us a (true) root in no time.
What do you people say?
Count me in with 10€
same goes for me!
How or who can manage a z3+/z4 Bounty??

have u heard anything on a custom recovery?
I am so new to this, and in the process of moving some of my pictures to my pc, my folder "Camera" just disappeared. I was dragging specific files over and poof it was gone. I have now spent hours trying to find a program to "undelete" or recover these pics, (((btw iRoot installed onto my PC and them plugged my phone in put SEVERAL apps on my phone without asking permission))) I am now in the process of trying FonePaw Android Data Recovery, but I need to get it rooted. I have version 5.1.1, and I have not had success rooting it. Does this post say that I cannot root it? WAAAAHHHH!!!
Can someone reup the links? They're down. I'd like to root my S6 Active, but can't find the files anywhere but here.

The most important file is g809ahybridrecovery.tar . I wonder if it's possible to unlock bootloader with it and leave it unlocked... Don't have the phone myself yet.
Did somebody actually try it? Included instruction is a bit unclear about the mechanism itself -
1. Boot hybrid recovery
2. ADB push install-su archive and run it
3. After all - flush included stock firmware - seriously?
Need help
So I followed the included instructions, but Odin got stuck for several hours. Does anyone know how long it's supposed to take to flash the files?
Anyway, I'm not sure what to do with the G890A.zip after I've followed the rest of the instructions either, nor do I know what
3.Connect to PC and open the FIX_ROOT and run it.
4.Verify root, and do any unlock, IMEI CERT READ/WRITE
means.
Sorry for being such a N00B, but if someone could straighten me out on how to do this, I'd appreciate it.

I'm trying to root from 5.0.2 but the instructions provided in the download are unclear to me given the included files.
Is the "G890AUCU3AOK2 Combination File" it refers to the file called G890AhybridRecovery.tar in the folder? Would I flash that with Odin? And is "FIX_ROOT" the "G890ArootScript" file?
Thanks guys

The thing is, I'm also having trouble locating that thread/forum.
I quoted OP to emphasize that I, too, need help rooting and finding a suitable ROM for this particular device.

Why not post in a general devices forum section instead of Xposed? They aren't even related.

wait, what, kernel 4.4
is the bootloader unlocked?
No when I try and enable oem unlock it slides back to off
That is just a demo phone from LG with some developer tools installed. Nothing very usefull there, despite some tools created to test/help developing apps to the G6...
So just wipe the device and use as a phone? Just wanted to make sure before doing that, kernel version is older than I've seen and the software build is listed debugging. 2 people on here says they're common but I've seen nothing on the internet about these type of devices from LG. no pictures, nothing.
so I connected to the PC and did "adb reboot recovery"
it seems that my device is bootloader unlocked
You should pull the system and kernel files, official stock is using 3.18 kernel while this phone has 4.4 which is defo weird.
Hey I just bought this. What up man.

Hey bud , unfortunately if you have oreo u cannot update. There are many apps you can try yourself like kingroot. But there is not possivle way of rooting it unless u get into hacking your phone , then i recommend going by this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g6/help/starting-scratch-t3837452

If you have an H872, then all you have to do is follow this. Read it several times to make sure you understand, and Google videos if needed to make sure you understand. @pena020563 gave you the answer you need, albeit in a cryptic manner - his link will eventually take you to the link I supplied above. And I don't know why he even mentioned Kingroot. The method I am linking you to is, as far as I know, the only way to root an H872. Don't bother with anything else.
Had you looked just a little harder, you know...scrolled down a quarter of the page, you would have found the link I gave you all on your own.
Good luck!

they claim support g6, but no one ever proof it. The last time kingroot is really useful is when Android Lollipop era after Marshmallow they don't have good exploits to install root in system. Many has been patched.

what's your problem with this xda guide? I think it's simple enough but you have to carefully understand what you have to do (just read carefully). If you don't want to leave windows you can use virtual machine (which I believe is more complicated to setup and need more PC resources).
