how can update? I need to unzipp?
on my B380 I don't found any updater app, how can I update this OTA. Thanks
hallo updated, but buildnummer stay on 380?
Flashed it to, but am wondering if it flashed fully.
It said flashed successfully but I think that it only flashed the update.app file. That file is about 60mb whilst the .zip file contains 288mb. Now thinking that I'm missing a lot of stuff.

Unzip The Folder To dload & Flashed via Dialer Still Showing B380
This update arrive to my friend thar were based on B370. So you have to downgrade to B370 and later made the OTA of B382
Hi, for anyone who updated directly via regular OTA (not the manual method by downloading it via tap007's link) - what is your build version showing now?
For the people who flashed it via the manual method - what date is showing against your 'Android security patch level'? Please view attached thumbnail as an example of what I'm looking for.
The provided update.zip file is a OTA update.
The preferred flash method is manual using the dialer *#*#2846579#*#* or via "adb sideload".
Therefore it's not allowed to unzip the file!!! It MUST be flashed as it is, a *.zip file.
BUT: The here at XDA provided file doesn't seems to work
If you have just flashed the update.app file from within the *.zip you have missed a lot other important files. As you can see your Build-Number hasn't changed.

It's the same update.zip as here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69153040&postcount=38
Someone said it's branded for italian operator "TIM", there is Tim theme inside of that update.

Problem with updating my huawei p9 lite vns-l31
hi, my problem is i have updated my Huawei p9 lite single sim version to nougat. Before updating i have unlocked, it rooted it, and unlocked the second sim - so I made it dual SIM. After update to nougat my camera did not work at all. I followed a lot of tutorials and tried to fix it but finally I erased everything, (the operating system and all) and wanted tot install all fresh new again. I is ok only the update.zip to download - because it did not work at all. Should I install or copy something on the internal memory before or there is something that I am doing wrong?
( when i wanted to install my phone was checking md5 file skipped md5 check - no md5 file found. update package from zip failed. update process ended with error)
Hi
found this on firmware finder, any ideas tried flashing it but doesn't seem to make any difference and leaves build at b361, the only thing I did notice was a new app was installed called google duo but don't know if that was just coincidence

i think one is full firmware of size 1.3 gb and the second is just over the air update 326 mb
Edit: I just updated to B378 full firmware of size 1.3 gb but there is no change in About, my fone still shows B361, now downloading the package from post #2 and will update the post again.

I have extracted UPDATE.APP from update_data_full_hw_eu.zip to sdcard/dload and rebooted to update.

the one method works only once because after updating to the oreo it is not possible to do it again because the bootloader changes and the HWOTA method is not recognized anymore because TWRP does not install next time and therefore can not update more

C33, C636 are different variants of the device. I rebranded my L29C185 (a Middle East international version) to the L29C636 (Asian international version).
L09 is the single sim version of mate 9 I believe, I don't know what region c316 is though. Maybe someone on here can tell you, or have a Google.
I use Firmware Finder from the play store to check updates. Might be worth looking on there.
Hi all, tried the hwota method and it gets stuck on "After device enter TWRP, connect to USB cable. Press ENTER key to continue...". My Mate is in TWRP, but it is not recognized as USB device in Windows 10. Cold that be the issue? How to fix it - I have installed adb-setup-1.4.3.

I'm on the official Oreo right now and came from nougat as oreo beta wasn't available in my country.. There are 3 firmwares approved in the app.. 2 duplicate OTA updates and one FullOTA with a size of 2,785GB to be exact.. You can try the small sized OTAs if you want.. It says in the changelog that it will update your device from RNE-21 8.0.0.302(C185log) to RNE-L21 8.0.0.310(C185) which is the official build that i'm on right now.

I'm totally aware of the settings in firmware finder but I guess that I'm not being approved because I'm in a different region (Pakistan). Where are you from? My current firmware is RNE-L21 8.0.0.302(C185log) since I'm already on oreo but beta version and this has some minor bugs so I just wanted to get rid of them. Anyways thank you for your swift response and is it possible for you to share some screenshots of the settings menu and the recent apps window? Thank you.
using the IN-APP PROXY method not work for me at the beginning but after trying DNS method the download work (403 MB) but after downloading be 100% it told me that there is new patch (403 MB) after accept to download it the download return to 50% after it was 100% then the same problem again after completed the same message that there is new patch available (403 MB) and download back to be 66% and update file size is 1.21 GB
I stop DNS service but download is running it's now 96%.
i think after download is completed there is a loop and start the same download again.
after this once if it says the same message I'll refuse accepting update message to see what is happening.
[Edit]
after download completed for the third time the upgrade button is visible but after pressing it verify error message is shown.
After stopping DNS service and starting it again i 'm trying again from the first
if the same error occurred again i think the problem may be with my beta firmware.

That's really strange! Pakistani users were the first to recieve the oreo beta but now the official release is yet to be approved!!! I'm from Jordan and i couldn't even log in the beta app when they opened a beta project in pakistan (sounds stupid i know) ... Anyway i'll attach some screenshots for what you have asked me.. I noticed some games and apps came along with the update (useless games).. Camera is a bit smoother than before.. Overall performance is better than what it was on nougat.. Stuff like that.. Hope you recieve it asap.. Btw the phone manager really rocks now lol

using the IN-APP PROXY method not work for me at the beginning but after trying DNS method the download work (403 MB) but after downloading be 100% it told me that there is new patch (403 MB) after accept to download it the download return to 50% after it was 100% then the same problem again after completed the same message that there is new patch available (403 MB) and download back to be 66% and update file size is 1.21 GB

Did you check if the firmware access is approved for your IMEI? If it's not then nither the in-app proxy nor the DNS method will work... If you checked and it's approved.. Then can you explain how the in-app proxy method is not working? As for what i know, it's a common issue with the dns method.

yes i did and it's approved
Later when using proxy system updater get that there is a new update [403 mb] but can't download it.
In DNS method it find the update and download it but every time after it is 100% it start to down the same file again for three times then fail to upgrade
i found the error with DNS method that i should stop DNS after updater started which i didn't do.
Now i tried again with proxy method, the updater find that there is a new update but i didn't start it until i go back to connection setting and stop proxy then back to system updater and start update and it is working & download is 23%
after it is completed i'll see if it will upgrade or give an error again.

Here is what i exactly did when i installed it through the proxy method... I enabled the proxy.. Went to WiFi settings and added the localhost proxy.. Then i checked for the update in the system updater and it appeared there.. Once you find the update disconnect the proxy and remove its settings from WIFI settings.. Then normaly download the update via system updater.. Hope i helped a bit.. Btw check the screenshot attached for some instruction for the DNS method.. I'm sure you did as the instructions say but wouldn't hurt to leave it here
Bad luck [emoji16]

I've tried this method.. The download process was too slow and stopped many times.. But finally was downloaded.. After it reached the 100% I found a window saying the package will be deleted due to it's not authorized to be installed..
My device is RNE L21C185
FROM EGYPT
So disappointed ?
