Well, its 2013, we have the SGS 4, HTC One, Goophone i5s and some other unannounced phones such as Moto X.
We all became very close in this forum and its time for us to all move one, so where is everyone moving on to?

definitely the goophone i5s. You got the best of both worlds of android and iphone 5. The iPhone 5 build quality, with Android 4.1.2. Cant beat that, especially when you could of had it for $100!

The Blackberry Z10!
No, but seriously I'm honestly waiting for later in the year. There's a lot of talk about an Ubuntu phone and a Firefox phone. So I'm just going to wait it out and see which is the coolest.

SGS4
My next will come as a shocker to some but it wont be a future phone. My next will be the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Lets be honest, the main reason why most of us have the AHD was because the maxx battery which made the phone highly pleasurable and very sexy.
Samsung just released the OEM 3k mah battery for the SGS3 which is big news because its also removable so when I travel I can bring extra and never be without juice because I am backpacking with extra battery.
Also the sgs3 has a very sexy camera, the AHD camera looks like chit.
Sgs3 also supports exfat with memory card which means I can have a 64gb microsd with full x264 sexy files at over 4gb a file.
With the sgs4 coming out the sgs3 price will surely be more pleasurable on the aftermarket.
Is it possible that the x phone turns out to be the nexus 5?

I am getting the SGS3 when the SGS4 comes out because itll be cheap on ebay and I am not set for an upgrade and im not going to drop $600 on a phone.
most likely the S4 for me or might scoop a nexus 4.
I'll wait until CM10 stable on AHD. No need to rush for a new phone. Android phones waste your money. They are racing at each other. Want to be a super phone above all which still can't defeat a computer.

Currently Moto X 2013 (Mark it 2013 i plan in 2014) is ongoing stock clearance sell. Being sold without Adapter on Rs. 17999 (300$ Approx.) after that i don't think it would come again then for sell. I should make my decision in 1 week AFAP. My preferred budget is 250$-400$ (15000-25000 Rs.) for smartphone. :cyclops:
For Moto X 2013 Only negative points i think is Old Smartphone, Low Processing Power and Non-expandable memory. :crying: Positive and most liked points are Pure Android, Latest Version, Motorola, Something different than Poor Samsung
I welcome other questions to improve your reply for selection of smartphone. Please be Fast,
Thanks, :victory:
I just got one for my sister on a flash sale discount. I wouldn't say it has low processing power—1.7 Ghz dual-core/Adreno 320/2GB RAM is still on the high end and will run the most resource-intensive apps smoothly for the next 2 years or so. It's only a 720p screen, so as far as 3D games go, better hardware wouldn't do much.
The real downsides are as you said, no expansion slot, and battery life isn't that great either. But even at full price it's great value right now.
Got one for $250 USD brand new. These past few months I've been purchasing "old" phones since the prices have dropped dramatically. Also bought an xperia z ultra $300 brand new. The specs on phones have finally reached the point to where even year old phones are still a good buy and can still hang with current flagship's.

Farewell my Nexus 5, you will be missed as the best phone I've ever owned. From the Nexus S, to the Galaxy Nexus, to the Nexus 4, then to the Nexus 5, It is with a sad face that is time to retire you with full honors. :crying:
In the 14 months we've known each other, you've been my best friend, never more than a few feet away. Of all the generations of Nexus devices I've owned, you'll always be my favorite. We've gone ROM to ROM almost weekly it seems, never crashing, bricking, or bootlooping to death. Tho your camera sucked, and your battery small, your processor was strong, and your LTE fast. It is with great sorrow that it's time to move on to bigger (literally) phones. may your next owner appreciate you as much as I have.
Congrats! I have been checking the stock for the N6 every week and I cannot seem to catch it in stock. I got a cyber Monday code for the Moto X 2014 version so I ordered that on Dec 15th to take advantage of the discount. I am loving the Moto X so far but the whites on the screen are a bit dirty compared to the N5, but the colors are nicer on the Moto X.
Had the N6 been readily available I would have ordered that instead, but I still need to see one in person to get a feel for the size.
How are you dealing with the size of shamu coming from the N5?

I gave up on checking inventory and just bought one locally at a TMobile store outright. It's unlocked. They have demo phones at most of their stores, check it out. I didn't want to get one without seeing it first myself. It's huge, like almost too big huge. I don't think this is the direction phones need to go, it needs to go back to like a 4.5-5 inch screen. It's extremely heavy, and I can see it very easy to drop as you cant wrap your hands around it as well.

Thanks for the response, I had a feeling that it may be too large. I am going to have to stop by a Tmobile store one of these days to see it. I really wish they went with a 5.2 or 5.5 inch screen instead for the N6, oh well.

Honestly, the Nexus 6 could not interest me less at this point. The Nexus 5 is almost near the limit of what I would say is a comfortable size for holding in your hand, so the N6 for me is just going to be uncomfortable to use.
Couple this with a significant ratcheting-up of the price, plus no real new hardware features (better specs, but that's about it), and my interest is essentially eliminated. I'm already on Lollipop, so even an OS upgrade isn't a factor.
To each their own, but the N6 is not for me.

I can only reach up to about 1/2-3/4 the volume rocker when holding it in my left hand, any higher and I have to shift/tilt the phone. If I try to reach for the top right corner, I'm basically touching dead center of the screen without shifting.
On a Nexus 6 I'll probably only be able to reach halfway up at most lol..

Have fun with it. I'll be sticking with my nexus 5. After trying out the 6 at Tmobile, it wasn't any faster or would do anything better for me. It only gives you a bigger screen. If that's what you want, go for it. I'll wait for later in the year when some truly killer devices will be coming out with 3.0(+)ghz-64bit-4gb RAM-killer cameras-more storage-etc........ devices that will be more future proof. Once people see what's in store for this year, I think they will regret not holding onto their devices a little bit longer. I just can't see buying a new phone right before a MAJOR shift in the market happens.
Not saying you made a bad decision, as it's your money. Do as you will. Just pointing out that this last batch of flagship phones is also the last batch of old school phones. Even cheap phones now are coming out with 64bit and 2gb ram. The nexus 6 will be run-of-the-mill very soon.
I had exactly the same feeling about my Nexus 5 when I handed it over to the Mrs to sell in the USA. :crying:
Spent all of christmas in the wilderness with an old HTC Wildfire, (yes really,) and my Nexus 7 2013.
With the money I got from the Nexus 5, I got a brand new LG G2 and love it. When I use the G2, I can really see the corners that LG/Google cut to get the Nexus 5 at the reduced price point. The battery life is almost double the Nexus 5 and thats even with all the LG bloat.

...says the guy trolling the cell phone forums...
are you guys enjoying the 3t? worth every penny? will u upgrade to the next one plus this year? is it worth waiting?
As long as they continue to update the 3t the way they are, I'll be keeping mine for a while. Phone works great, looks great and I'm experiencing great battery life on the stock rom
I'm simply in love with mine. It has AMOLED display, hardware that secures future, good camera.
This can be told about many phones, but... Do they have so frequent software updates? Beta twice a month! Actually, developers are listening to people's opinions (obviously can't listen to everyone).
From what I've seen, many people who changed their phones from s7e/nexus to OP3T are really content with it.
Battery life is another great thing, it easily goes through a day and charges so quickly!
If you don't need a new phone urgently, you might as well wait for the next OnePlus phone. As much as we don't want to face it, OnePlus is likely going to put development for the 3/3T on the back-burner once the next generation of phones are released (looking at you, OP2). That said, the OP3/T is certainly an excellent device and worth its current price.
yeah its a killer phone. id get one. just did in fact.

I upgraded from the S7 edge to the 3t (like 2weeks ago) and I love this phone. Way ahead of the game, not a single particle of lag. That said, I will probably upgrade once the 5 comes out; as I love having the latest tech, but yeah. Getting this phone right now was worth it for me.
Upgraded from 6p and really like it!,
Just 2 features i really miss front stereo speakers and camera everything else is perfect for me
Best supported phone ive ever owned. Even with the nexus one, support from google still doesnt compare to oneplus.

Is that whats happened to oneplus 1 and 2?
Uhm, no idea.
I justified spending 400+ EUR on the 3T, because I thought at the time that I'm going to keep it for at least two years. And now I'm tempted to upgrade to the 5, because fsck yeah, this phone is awesome, can't wait for the next model. I'll just give this to someone in the family.
I looked to upgrade to something else but seriously - there's nothing else out there. It's at the top of it's game. Get it now, or if not in hurry for a few months. Wait.
Rumor
There is a rumor on OP 5 that it has a ceramic/glass back. Well if you don't wanna break it then...
Nothing official so.....
I still love the block type metal of the OP 3T so it is my ideal choice

It's all just rumor at this point. No announcement yet. And manufacturers usually don't tip their hand too early. Doing so would not only potentially damage the sales of the current device, but also may give their competition an edge.
I've seen some stories around that state that Samsung is buying up all the Snapdragon 835 supply. And being the Android market juggernaut, most (all?) other manufacturers are going to have to wait to get the 835. This alone may cause OnePlus to delay a launch.
The OP3T is amazing and I think OP5 will be even more. If you aren't in a hurry, would be nice to wait.
OP3t is a great device. Even if OP stops updates at nougat, the dev support will continue.
Look at the OPO, it has perfect nougat ROMs that are current. The OP3t will continue on with devs, cause it's a solid built device (as was the OPO). The OP2 had no nfc and the crap 810 cpu, and still solid on dev support.

I understand you haha. I was a little worried myself, as a lot of people hyped it "down" .
Honestly, Samsung has the best screens any phone manufacturer can have. Comparing both, I noticed that the colors looked better on the S7 edge, and that the S7's screen gets brighter. Are those deal breakers? Absolutely not. The screen is great and 1440 p is not different compared to 1080p .
It'll definitely take the screen downgrade for a absolutely lagfree device. It's been almost 2 weeks and not a single app, or animation has lagged. Also battery life is great. Damn I still feel like I'm not using this device to its full capabilities lol
With how things are going, they seem to have found the hardware they really love, so they're developing their software now. I think they want to love their software as much as their hardware, so they may be sticking with the 3t. Look how many special editions are coming out, they got an otterbox deal and they acrually ship on time now.

If you want to use some vr hardware, then yes, 4k is better. Otherwise 1080p is faster to drive, and uses less power. So it's a trade-off.
I would get it definitely. Well i already did actually. Great phone I love it definitely worth the money and had a great supporting dev community. And if your worried about oneplus stopping updates it's no big deal cause there a lots of custom roms for this phone and there is a great community surrounding it.
Hey guys quick question. Can you post some benchmarks of the 512gb version and the 128gb version? I curious if there is any performance gain with the 2 extra go of memory. There isn’t anything like that on YouTube. I appreciate it.
Both phones will be fast as hell. The extra 2 gig ram means that you can essentially have more apps open at the same time and I have noticed a slightly zippier performance compared to my 6gb s9 plus

Correct. You would hard tell the difference. The s9 can be found as an A Grade refurb online for less than £500 here in the UK if you hunt about. That's over half the price of the N9 for essentially the same real world performance...

That was one of Zeedomax's arguments from his YouTube channel High on Android. He was basically saying the SD845 has been out since the S9 introduction and technically Samsung shouldn't be selling the note9 as much as it is, since the chips are now 6 plus months old and cheaper to buy.

It's $159 over S9+ for: double storage, larger battery, stylus with Bluetooth, a screen capable of understanding 4096 pressure sensitivity levels, and a slightly better, brighter screen at that. How is that $159 jump not justified? I don't get it. That's a ton of extra stuff. Just because people don't use the stylus and special screen, doesn't mean they aren't costs. And larger battery and double storage alone is "worth that" for many.
yes even the 6GB Note 9 version is faster than the 6GB S9 plus version.
Picking up my 128 today from Best Buy. Seems like almost everyone is buying the 512 even if it’s not needed. I don’t really think there’s a huge difference between 6 or 8gb of ram for daily usage.

Essentially no there is not a major real world difference. However there are probably power users on here where the extra ram and the 512 would be useful
