default location that screenshots get saved - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there some way to change the default location that screenshots get saved to?
I dont want google photo's to back up my screenshots, but I cant find a way to remove that option...

The default location is Pictures > Screenshots in Device Storage.
If we can't find any settings about this location, is it possible to have google photos disabled to find these photos?

GPS Info in photo

Ok..this is giving me headaches now. I use Shozu to upload my photo's taken by my TyTN II to different sites. Made some photo's with GPS information as you can see in this Flickr photo. When I select place on map Flickr asks me to place it on the map, but it has GPS info ... how does that work, or is the information not correct?
Also tried picasa (local version) to see it on google earth but it says no GPS info is in the photo.

Think i'll try the geotagger too from GPSToday http://www.geoterrestrial.com/
Found this link in another thread
geotagging normal foto's then I don't have to switch to geo photo at all anymore.

import exif info
for flicker to auto import your exif info you must go to your settings page then the privacy and permissions tab scrool down to the section for Defaults for new uploads then you will see the Import EXIF location data edit this setting so it says yes now all new uploads will be geotagged you will have to either geotag all current photos yourself or delete and readd them to geotag the ones you have already uploaded

Yep, exactly. I just started playing with Flickr recently for the geotagging and it took me a while to figure that out too.
I wound up googling it and found some direct link to the option, but glad you explained how to do it better than what I found.

Actually deleting photos from Picasa permanently... HOW?

People are fooled by the numerous videos on Youtube on how to remove those annoying Picasa photos from being seen on your device. But all those videos show the exact same instructions which only remove the photos from syncing to that device. It does not delete them. Once you buy a new phone, those photos will show up again.
I would like to know where they are coming from. and delete them permanently.
All photos backed up from your phone are in Google+ Photos. If you delete them there it will ask you if you want to delete the photo everywhere.

Use an app called Picasa Tools. From there you can change the albums to Hangouts. Select and delete the pictures you want.
I'm guessing that any Picasa gallery app would work?
There are a few ways to delete from Picasa.
1) open google photos. delete from there. It will warn you that it will delete pictures even off of your device, however.
also remember to open the side menu and empty the trash, they don't get deleted immediately.
2)go to your google + photos on an actual computer. you can delete them through there without worrying about them being deleted from your phone. However, if you have auto backup on, it'll just reup them again anyways.
to change what gets uploaded, open the side menu in google photos, go down to "on device" and uncheck(disable the cloud icon) the folders you don't want backed up. if you don't want any backing up, make sure you turn off the photo syncing in your google account settings on your phone. (settings - accounts - google - *your account* - uncheck Sync Google + Photos) Then clear the cache on your gallery app and reload the app, it'll all be gone.
If they keep reappearing try this: Get on a desktop computer > sign into google account > go to picasaweb.google.com/lh/myphotos?noredirect=1 and delete the actual photos at the source.
It will give a huge list of the places that the photo is being deleted from! Caution: this deletes the photos from EVERYWHERE including blogger posts, etc

Dropbox doesn't sync photos since upload to 6.0

Hi
Since I updated my xperia to android 6.0 dropbox doesn't show or upload new photos. I don't even see them in the "photos" section of the dropbox app.
Doesn't matter what I choose as place to save the pictures (internal storage or sd-card - neither works).
Any idea how I can fix that?
You might wanna check if its part of the AutoSync in Settings..you can also go to Accounts in settings and check for additional settings there

How to eradicate picasa?

I have picasa web albums set to never sync through gallery and settings>accounts, Google photos is removed, drive set to never sync photos, and still when an app wants me to upload a picture my old picasa photos fill up the selection screen. Is there a way I can disable that or is it just a curse of android?

Iv a weird thing going on with picasa. It shows on my home screen as picasa but when I check out the app info from within app management it shows as Google+ and it shows the same data as cache etc for it.
The weird thing is I'm pretty sure I disabled or hid picasa but after stock root it popped back up on my unhidden apps list. Any ideas?

first in settings, check for the apps and disable the ones you dont want... it will say disabled to the right of it.
second, i have been using an app from the playstore called nobloat free version and then i disable the bloat this way also...
but i acutally go to the system/app and system/priv-app and delete the unnecessary files (bloat ware or apps that I can get from the playstore, cause i have on TB or MyBackup, then for the missing or remainder of the files I find out with nobloat the other file names and then delete the files also.
This way I make a nice clean Stock Debloated Version with TWRP. and save that for when ever I want to start clean..
There's an easy way to disable through settings but I forgot and have been too lazy to look it up again. You should be able to find with a little Google investigating. When you find it, please share with the rest of us lazy bums.

Saved Google Maps places doesn't Appear

when in android auto menu in google maps special you can see and have all your saved places shown up, but only those saved in the default "saved places"
but if you create a new goup / category in google maps and save some locations into it, it will not appear once android auto
it give you only the default saved group.
is there any way around it ? to be able all created categories and the saved places in each one ?
