Yeah, weird but true.

Wow - anyone tried it?

i will try it in 20 mins. So excited ^^

Installed it normally and everything went fine. Everything was working.
Tried installing it and configuring it to recover google backup settings and apps but couldn't get it to work when removing `CMSetupWizard` from the gapps (pico).

debug
I am testing this in three Nexus' that I own.

Preety stable rom...but after 1 day use it start lagging. If someone want to tried 7.1 CAF Rom recommend DarkRom by Dark_Eyes. With recommended Bank Gapps . BTW waiting for Non-Caf CM 14.1

When you're so busy building it yourself from source that you don't notice it goes official...

Same behavior for me, installed yesterday in the afternoon and I noticed some lag this morning. Then I rebooted and everything worked fine again. Charging seems to be slower then stock MM, is it possible?
Inviato dal mio Nexus 5 CAF utilizzando Tapatalk

Tested for a couples of days, everything seems fine. Power wise good idle time, but feels like discharging faster than MM with screen on (could not be related to the Rom itself though). Charging time seems faster than usual. BTW since I don't have used cm for some time I ought to ask: what happened to themes? Couldn't find anything related...

Try to set Low Memory Killer as "aggressive" or "very aggressive" in kernel settings (using Kernel Adiutor or similar apps). It keeps enough free RAM in background to mantain the phone fast!

Good tip I'm going to set it just now. About charging issue I noticed I strangely have slow charge and fast drain when I use a 2A 5V charger, but it works all regularly when I charge using an 1.8A 5V one. Maybe it colud a battery issue but I'm reporting because I noticed it since I flashed thread rom

These features would be added in the Future. CM 14 is in very early stage , even it doesn't support Themes. I think Unofficial Builds are doing well in developing CM 14.1. I mean Just give a look at CrDroid Rom. It contain many customization features than any other CM 14.1 Build. All I have to say is keep faith in Great Developers which we have.
Thanx...?

Best CM7 ROM for the N1?

I don't want a completely AOSP ROM or a CM7-based one. I'd like to know which CM7 build is the best one? How stable is the official CM7.2 RC1 from Cyanogenmod? Or are the self-made compilations better?
I don't want nightlies.
You can try Euroskank roms

+1 for euroskank roms.
Try Temasek's KANG:
http://temasek.hopto.org/Nexus One - passion/
Super stable, pretty much the latest CM7.2 with some extra goodies, such as long press home button on lockscreen to toggle torch, and many more.

Thanks, but no thanks. I don't like ROMs which get updated every day or next to every day.
If I were to run such a build (which I have in the past) I would feel the need of installing every update as they arrive, and that is simply too much for me. I'm sure temasek's builds are awesome, but as long as they are nightlies or next to being nightlies, they aren't for me.
Or maybe I have mixed it all up? Are the RC-XX builds his nightlies and the "clean builds without cherry pickings" his non-nightly builds?
No one said you have to update every day. Up day only if you wish but every few weeks is enough .

That's okay. I'm satisfied with the current ROM I'm using. CM's official 7.2 RC1. Though, I have to say I miss the "long press home to light torch" thingy I used to have when I had MIUI.
It's the same build, just with more stuff that could break something else, but most of the time it's fine.

No, I haven't.
I'm really not interested in running a ROM that may or may not break some other function due to the cherry picks. I'm only running CM7 as I'ma bit tired of MIUI and that I'm waiting for ICS to be stable enough.
I'm going away on vacation for a few days starting to tomorrow, so I need a ROM that fully works with no problems whatsoever. I haven't found any "bugs" with the official CM7.2 RC1. so far.

Of course the phone gets hot with this ROM, it's always going to get hot, it's surrounded by metal and is less than 1cm thick ... How would it not get hot?
You can of course install a custom kernel that supports thermal cooling but I rarely use custom kernels.
... For you guys who have questions related to a ROM, search. You're always best searching the ROM thread for people who may have already asked/answered your question, plus you have the best people to answer and see your question in the ROM thread.

The problem is that the kernel built in the rom is still based on 4.4.2, don't know why, but in future we hope this issue will be solved. For now you have diffrerent solutions:
1) You can flash a custom kernel, like ak kernel, franco..
2) you can flash this wifi fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53132436&postcount=6487
3) someone says that flashing the stock boot.img by google will solve the issue, but I personally haven't tried..
OK thanks for explaining.
I think I'll wait until the kernel will delivered Witz an nightly.

Great, I flashed my Nexus 4 with the current nightly omni-4.4.3-20140611-mako-NIGHTLY.zip and now WLAN works again!!!
Thanks for your support!
:good:
Sorry about that one. Normally, after an update like this, the kernel, device tree, and blobs are merged all at once when a maintainer has time.
But someone merged the device tree changes without telling anyone else and didn't merge kernel/blobs. I saw no blob/kernel changes and assumed no device tree changes, so was scratching my head trying to figure out why things broke until I finally looked and noticed that the device tree HAD been merged.
(I have been extremely busy the past week so didn't have time to look at it for a while.)

Fastest ROM?

I just got this device recently and I immediately flashed CM9 which turned out to be very slow on this device.
I don't need any of the special features of ICS/JB/KK, I just want a fast ROM. Is CM7 the fastest?
Thanks!
If you have non-cdma version, flash KitKat.
Android 4.x has better feature, better app support, and stability.
Also, if you feel slow, greenify, seeder etc. will speed up a lot.

ROM For Gaming???

Hey guys I'm on a G610Y and currently running on stock TW 7.0 ROM. Is there any custom ROM as of now (preferably Oreo or Pie even) that runs games the best and is smooth and stable at the same time?
Well , I am on Havoc Os and i play pubg, it works fine as long as you have good internet connection. Also, some j7 prime users say games performance is better in samsung Tw based roms, i have also seen lots of recommendation like Oreosama and Venom for better gaming or you can just wait for the new Veloxy Rom , developer wrote that gaming will be much better in that rom.

All of u making thread like this should consider making it in Q&A section
I am a compulsive flasher I have tried all the rom for this device and the best is xenos 2.0, there is no rom that is compared in performance and fluency, despite having so many extras is still very fast, I have tried all the rom and I end up coming back this. I hope that soon one one will come out that the games run smoothly.

each rom has its grace and really anseois 8 and especially 9 is very nice, but it is a shame that they have bugs that cause an unstable system, at the moment all Android 9 rom with oneui are not fluid, those with Android AOSP have bug with the camera and the worst on the unlock screen take 5 seconds to be able to respond, the Android 8 have nothing innovative and is xenos is old .. but com nova launcher you give another appearance also I have Ambient display that is the best alternative for our j7 prime since it has no AMOLED screen and this no other Rom TW STOCK has it, it has virtual buttons on screen in the notification bar. And at the end answering your answer .. yes .. is rom is very fast because it takes kernel srock and the front flash works.
