I lost my hard drive weeks ago, and ALL my faces were on it. My favorite is on my watch currently, but I changed rom on phone, so in order to resync, i need to reset the watch. Is there ANY way to pull the current face before I reset it?

On two occasions in the last three weeks my GWR has lost track of the date and time. Both times it was after my phone was away for an extended period of time. After a few minutes the watch will connect to the phone and will get all notifications but the date has changed to 1/1/70. I tried unconnecting and then reconnecting, "forgetting" and repairing and even resetting. The only thing that seems to bring the date and time back in line is letting it remain connected to the phone for an extended period of time (like 24 hours or so). At some point it just finally locks in to the date/time on the phone and displays correctly. What's also interesting is that the watch faces in Watchmaker, Facer, etc all do have the correct time. I would think that being the case that pushing to the watch would correct the problem but no such luck.
Also, isn't the watch supposed to be able to be used standalone for limited functionality (i.e. time, heart rate, steps)?
I've found two somewhat similar threads but none that are exactly this same issue. I have to believe that someone else has experienced this issue. If so what have you done to resolve the issue other than waiting for the watch to sync in with the phone?
For anyone that uses google fit on both their phone, and watch... Does your steps from your phone overwrite your watch steps?? For example... if I leave my phone behind and walk somewhere (do this often), I come back and my watch step counter is higher than my phone (which is correct).. but once I refresh the google fit app on my phone the steps on my watch reset to what it was before I got up to take the walk...
They should stay in sync. All of the fit info is cached on the web, and should reflect the same info on both the watch and phone. Mine does.
Yes
It most certainly does. It's been a big issue for me. I have a Galaxy S6 (not important as it happens across multiple phones) and an LG Watch R. If I go on the treadmill and walk/run with my phone set aside my watch will count my steps correctly. As soon as I stop and grab my phone the phones data almost immediately overwrites my watch data. I have to manually put in the data off my treadmill if I want it to be correct. Happens every time. The only solution I have is to walk with my phone which is annoying.
Scenario so far:
Went camping, had watch in flight mode for 3 days, watch completely drained of battery
Got home, tried to start watch, watch was stuck with the Battery icon on screen when on cradle, wouldnt turn on no matter what (long press, on off cradle etc)
Left watch charging for 24 hours, no difference
Placed watch in freezer for 3 hours, then back on cradle, started, but would not connect to phone
Forgot watch in bluetooth settings on phone, uninstalled reinstalled android wear (Nexus 6P)
Factory reset watch, would not connect to phone.
Checked with multiple phones, computers and tablets, watch does not seem to be advertising bluetooth at all
Used ADB to downgrade to 5.02 still not visible
Tried flashing to LG Watch Urbane image floating around here, still not visible
tried:
adb shell settings put global airplane_mode_on 0
adb shell settings put global bluetooth_mode_on 1
Still no luck
Any further suggestions?
Why did you put the watch in the freezer???
God knows if it was broken and for which reason, but now it is broken for sure.

Thank you for your helpful comment.
It was completely stuck, i had little to lose. Having read some information from others, I came to the conclusion that I had very little to lose in putting it in the freezer, and so i did so, in a ziploc bag with a couple of silica gel bags. In fairness to me, it has gotten the watch to go significantly further than it was.
Hi.
I just saw Android Wear 2.0 came out for the Urbane so I thought factory resetting my watch is going to help me find the update, now I can't connect my watch to my phone.
I paired it,everything is ok on the Phone (it sees the watch and everything works) but i'm stuck on the " Syncing " white screen on the watch..
I reseted the watch 3 times,nothing works..
What's wrong? I don't want to factory reset my phone....

Factory reset your watch, also forget watch on the phone, power cycle bluetooth too on the phone, clear data for android wear app on the phone, also clear cache for google service framework. Hopefully it will work.

I did everything..i'll just let the watch 20-30 mins..if nothing happens than I guess I have to factory reset my phone
I tried putting in a short password and it took some doing because of the small keyboard, must have tried a dozen times to get it done. In hindsight I'd say I put the wrong password in the first time and then had to get it wrong again in order to have a match and have it accepted. Then when I went back and put in the right password it of course didn't work. I tried for a while to enter in variations but eventually gave up.
The fix is pretty simple and I imagine many know it but some might not so I'm putting it out here. The only way the watch can be restored to functionality if you cant get your password in is to reset it. This cant be done on the watch since you cant access the menu, you have to go into android wear to perform the reset. Open android wear, select options, lg watch sport, scroll to the bottom and you'll see unpair and reset. While your watch is resetting remove it from android wear and go into bluetooth settings, select the watch, forget it. Reboot phone.
At that point you're going to have to go through setup again, it's pretty easy with these phones so not a big deal.
Do not remove the watch from android wear while a password is set, you will not be able to access the recovery to reset it on the watch and you will not be able to connect the phone to it when it is locked down with a password. Make sure the watch is reset before you remove it from android wear.
One last thing, if you want to do better than a pattern IMO go for a PIN. Its fairly easy to hit the much less crowded numbers board compared to the on screen keyboard which is a trial at best.
Hope this helps someone, it took me more than an hour of screwing around this morning before I figured out where the reset option in android wear was located.
