MI3 Bricked COMPLETELY after update cm13 (system partition has unexpected contents) - Mi 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I had miui7 running on my Mi3 and I wanted to run cm13. I used cm12 before but went back to stock miui7.
But I needed to update baseband to update to cm13 so i used the cm13update.zip from jrizzoli.github.io/dotfiles/ and it had TWRP (modified maybe?) as the recovery and I easily installed CM13 after that. Later I updated via OTA several times and it went fine until the last time when it would not boot anymore and would stay stuck in bootloop or if i went to recovery, it would start installing the last cm13 update and then end with error 7 and would give system partition has unexpected contents error.
I tried to do EVERYTHING I could to make the phone show ANYTHING other than the cm13 updating in recovery screen or the ANNOYING cm13 logo. NOTHING worked.
I tried using miflash to flash old kitkat 4.3 rom, 4.4 rom (would give partition error but i replaced the flash_all.bat from a tutorial to bypass the partition erro) and the latest 6.0 chinese developer rom and it would finish successfully within under 100 seconds and would either go back to the cm13 bootloop or go to recovery and update cm13.
I tried QPST and emmc download with 4.4 rom and it would end with no error and go right back to bootlogo. tried flashing that rom with miflash and it would end within 80 seconds and go back to boot logo.
I tried QFIL with the latest miui8 chinese dev one with firehose and it would fail when it would go near userdata. dont remember the exact error but it was something like cannot divide by zero.
The ONLY time i could flash a different recovery is when i would use the same cm13update.zip and replace the recovery.img with another img such as cwm or mi stock recovery. when i used cwm, it would also try to install cm13 and fail as well.
I tried taking the battery off and shorting the two points which made it easier to get into EDL mode to try to use QPST with no luck.
among so many tries I booted to cm13 a few times. never could it go to homescreen though. once it would not go past the password lockscreen even if i put in the proper password and another time it would but ALL the apps would crash and i would not be able to even swipe the home screens.
sometimes when i tried flashing the cwm ota roms that was in the phone previously or the latest cm14 with otg usb, i would get
INSTALL ZIP SUCCESSFUL on top of twrp but the whole screen would fill up with red writing which said
Error opening : 'data/data/cyanogenmod.platform' (no such file or directory)
and the same thing about every app that was there on the phone.
i do not care about my files theyre all backed up. I just want to use the phone again. Any help is appreciated. thanks.

bump

Hello there, I can make and upload twrp backup of miui v8 dev version. Have you tried to restore a backup?
You'll have to make new partition for this backup ( there are so many threads like "extend partition mi3" or smth like that)
http://en.miui.com/thread-99430-1-1.html

Tried the ones from this thread?

Not getting past bootanimation despite trying everything

I just got my motorola yesterday. I did quite a few things like unlocking it and rooting it..After my first initial root it worked fine but earlier today i decided to install lollipop. I was using the twrp version 2.7 to install the rom but i realised it wasnt working till i tried a few more time and it finally it. I tried back up my stock 4.4.4 room before i installed my new rom but it failed several times because i think the recovery was faulty to say the least. Anyways my lollipop worked very fine but i notice anytime i restarted the phone it took a long freaking time to restart but it was working normal as usual until i restarted my phone another time and realised i couldn't go past the bootanimation. It takes forever but i never get past it. I then decided to flash the twrp 2.8.0.1. After flashing i realised I could do a backup but it was too late. I tried a few tricks I've always used to get past the bootanimation like mounting the storage but it never shows up on my pc. I also tried side loading the rom using the adb sideload command but it never workedd.it always shows up saying "error: device not found" but when i go back to the bootloader and use the fastbootdevices command it shows up my device. IS there any recovery that will allow me to sucessfully mount my storage or sideload my rom without all this hussle?
rom:TitanPrimeROMv1.3-XT1068-69_RC1
XT1068
Rooted
TWRP 2.0.8.1
Window 8.1 64bit
I already have my mini sdk files
Can you fastboot flash the factory images?
If you can confirm you can get into either bootloader where ADB works or TWRP
i will make you a either a TWRP backup of a clean 4.4.4 GB UK xt1068 restore (boot.img + system folder)
or i will make a ADB mfastboot flashable (in bootloader) of the 4.4.4 GB UK ROM
LMK which you need/prefere?

always booting into TWRP, unable to enter into system. (solved!)

this is what i've done.
lenovo k3 note with twrp 2.8.7.2_K3_CUOCO92 and rom K3_LOLLIPOP_5.0_ROW_v1.12
i wanted to install one of the latest nougat rom. so i downloaded a twrp 3.1.1.1 made for the k3 note. i flashed the image from my old twrp and replaced choosing the RECOVERY partition.
Flashed ok, i tested a rom, AospExtended-v4.4-aio_otfp-20170708-1051- i flashed it and it worked.
OK BUT.............. i did not wipe the data partition because i received AN ERROR. the new nougat rom was ok but it was a superdirty flash with all the old apps that were crashing. what to do?
i enter into twrp, i REMEMBER that i had the data partition ENCRYPTED so i format it and after doing this i was able to do every wipe i want, included data.
OH PERFECT...... THIS IS WHAT I THOUGHT. i made a full wipe of the rom wiping 4 thinkg : data , internal storage, cache and dalvik cache.
reboot and BOOM. black screen. i press 3 or times the power button and the creen goes on... i am into twrp. from this moment i never returned to see my SYSTEM!
i tested other roms, same problem. i thought it was a twrp problem.... so i installed from the twrp an IMAGE of other twrp... i tested 2 or 3 other twrps specific for my phone k3 note.
I HAD LITTLE BENEFITS with another one.... just because when i press to reboot into system... the phone reboots into twrp AND I CAN SEE IT because the screen is ON, whilst with the "latest" twrp i found...... despites the flashing procedure was ALL CORRECT without errors, at the reboot i always entered into twrp...... BUT INTO A BLACK SCREEN MODE, like if the screen was on...touch enabled, but OFF backligt, and the only way to revive it it is to press power 2 or 3 times, to see the home of the twrp.
i've also found that on MOUNT.......... i always see SYSTEM unflagged, ok i flag it, reboot into system, actually reboot into twrp and system is UNflagged, i try the same thing ALSO flagging READ ONLY...... , idem reboot, twrp.
SEEMS THAT i cannot boot to system anymore. but..... if the twrp was fault, why for the first time let me flash the phone? i really entered into the nougat rom! i found all my old apps and files, but of course it was a DIRTY FLASH, i just wanted to make some wipes.....re flashi the rom.... but oddly i missed the possibility to return anymore to the system.
what could i do at the moment?
how to flash a original image? how to see if this recovery is ok? i donkt 'know where to find my answers......
ah last thing, while into the recovery i was always able to transfer files from pc to phone, but from minutes i am NO MORE ABLE to see the internal memory of the phone.
my computer does not see anything!!! so i am fukked i think....... i did not make anything different.
i only made a lot of wipes... a lot of flashing a lot of testin into recovery. i was able to see it from my pc and put new files through pc. now NO.
solved. i flashed with flash tools an old original firmware android 5.0, then i flased latest twrp with flashtool.... and then flashed the zip of a custom rom.
BL
if u have backup then restore ur stock version or reeboot??

help Moto G 2 1078, can't install any rom

Good night guys, first of all I'm sorry if the text is confusing, English is not my strong point, i'm Brazilian.
I had the cyanogenmod in my phone(Moto g thea 1078) and as it was giving so many problems I decided to change the rom to the crDroid, but by a huge oversight of my part when I wipe I marked all the options, now I am not able to install any rom, not even the stock rom, some I can install by twrp without any error (crDroid, Viper), but when I try restart the system after installing twrp says that I am without any rom's installed, and if I ignore and restart anyway my cell phone is eternally on the logo screen, there is only one rom that I was able to install and start the phone, the 1068 rom stock, but chips and wifi doesn't work, when I'm going to install a 1078 stock of error in primary_gpt, in boot and the sparsechunks
"version downgraded for primary_gpt
version downgraded for boot
e img is too big for the sparsechunk"
does anyone have any ideas to help me?
Copy a proper ROM for Thea and Gapps on a micro SD card using a computer or a friend's phone, then place the SD card on your phone and install it through TWRP.
Of course you needed to wipe everything - you always need to delete everything before flashing new ROM, just NOT the external storage, because that's where your installation package is. Try any of the following (some of them don't have SuperSU included, so you will have to flash it separately):
- Viper or
- [proper] crDroid or
- DarkNess reDefined or
- Paranoid Android etc.
Don't forget about the Gapps package and SuperSu (the zip file).
Good luck.
i'v tried this once, doesn't work, but now i can't even install twrp or similar recoverys, always gives an erro "mismatched partition size (recovery)", i google it and people says that this error is normal, the twrp should start even with this errro, but when i start the recovery i got 'boot up failed' or starts the original recovery

Click to collapse
Your phone is crippled for life, you installed a firmware for the wrong device. Go install a Titan ROM and TWRP, there is nothing to do. Your phone is an XT1068 now. You lost your LTE ability forever.

Can't access Recovery after updating TWRP

After flashing the latest TWRP 3.3.1 image file from TWRP 3.2.3 and upon reboot I got an error "Could not do normal boot" and it took me to ODIN mode. Thinking maybe it was a corrupt file I flashed the .tar file from Odin and it successfully completed and rebooted into the system. Okay great. So I tried to boot into recovery from the system and it took me back to the same error. Tried several times to flash recovery from Odin and each time it completes successfully, boots into the system. Everything looks great and works - until I try to boot into recovery. Tried powering down completely and giving it a few minutes but the same thing happens when I power up. the only way I can get back into the system is to flash the TWRP tar file again from Odin and let it boot the system upon finishing.
I have searched the forums and the web without finding any solution that doesn't include going back completely to stock. In those cases the system was corrupted as well. Not really wanting to do that since everything works except booting to recovery. Any suggestions?
Update - I was finally able to download XAR-T813XXS2BSJ3_T813XAR2BSA2-20191016 and install it so I currently have the latest stock I can find for my T813. I have not tried to install TWRP yet on this version. I am a little leery to do so at this point since I've had no luck on any previous attempt.
Well, SSDD! No matter what version TWRP I flash, when I try to boot into recovery I get "Recovery Booting....Could not do normal boot" and it takes me to download mode (Odin Mode). I give up. I guess I am doomed to using a stock tablet and all of my previous apps and set up is no longer accessible. If by some miracle somebody has a fix I'm all ears.
Update - Finally was able to root with CF-Auto-Root through Odin. While it is not my root method of choice it is the only way I can root since TWRP will not load for me. At least I can get to my TB backups and restore most of my apps. Also, I can get rid of the bloat that pure stock sticks on the tablet. If I hadn't just bought a new laptop, I would seriously consider replacing this tablet.

Wiped internal storage by mistake in custom ROM and I can't flash anything now.

I wanted to install a custom ROM so I followed this guide initially https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...roid-for-redmi-note-9-merlin-merlinx.4333179/
I got the SkyHawk custom ROM to work, started by backing up my IMEI and saved the folder I got on my laptop, I then followed all steps and flashed ROM (CrDroid 7 as I had Android 11 on Europe MIUI 12.5.6 I think) and Gapps but phone kept going into recovery mode after reboot, I wanted to wipe everything again but accidentally wiped internal storage, all folders were removed. I copied the ROM again to the internal storage and flashed it but nothing seems to happen and no new folders are created.
I went into fastboot, used MiFlash and used the latest fastboot global version (roughly 4.5GB) but got mismatch error, removed the line to check for mismatch from the .bat file but it gets stuck on the next line. No matter what I flash no folders are created and the free space doesn't change. I also tried downloading the official ROM using custom recovery (2.4GB) I believe, went into custom recovery but I get "package_extract_file from system.transfer.list to memory took 00s" and it just keeps showing the same message until flashing is done.
I would really appreciate your help on how I can solve this, I can only access custom recovery and fastboot and I can't seem to get it to work. Thank you
I went to my Linux laptop, followed this guide https://gist.github.com/j-jith/0c4950e8020d9bed0c3104608b07a49d to install the ROM using the terminal and my phone is running again.
