Hi,
I have a V1615 from one of our users which has a bit of an unusual problem in the while trying to connect to GPRS/3G the following message appears after a minute or so of trying:
The answering modem has disconnected. to check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap Settings
The voice function is also odd as while trying to call somebody, you wait awhile and then get three beeps and it hangs up. The signal strength mostly show no signal, but even when it does, the chance of getting through seems poor.
The problem is, this was happening when the device had WM6 as the O/S, I upgraded to WM6.1 from the voda website, and the same issue has occurred from the fresh install. The SIM works fine in another device, and the device still fails to work with a known working SIM in it.
Vodafone have taken all the services and re-applied them to the users number in case there is a server problem, this hasn't changed anything.
I would be inclined to think it's a faulty device - except that this is the second device the customer has had with exactly the same fault. The last one was changed a month ago and it seems to be happening on a monthly cycle as he's only been issued the device for two months.
Anybody any ideas? I know the user well and know he's careful with kit (& I don't think he has any significant magetic field that could cause this problem!! ).
Just seems odd that two devices with the same user has the same fault, despite fresh installs of the OS!
Cheers in anticipation.

hi,
I am facing a problem with my kaiser.
I've been having it for 1 year now, changed lots of roms and was working perfectly.
Suddenly now i am facing problems with the phone.
I am having a full signal but when they call me most of the times it doesn't ring and after 4-5 minutes i receive a message from my provider that i have missed calls.
Also when i call someone the phone hangs up after 1-2 minutes of conversation.
There are times that is loosing signal, can't find network etc..
I am facing lot's of strange problems, i tried changing all kind of Radios and ROMs but nothing fixed this problem
Anybody has an idea?
Well, I know this isn't too helpful, but can you try your sim in another phone to see what happens?
Oh and can you share more about where you are and whats on your phone?
hi and thanks for your reply
i am from Cyprus using the CYTA-VODAFONE provider.
i have the PDAcorner Ultimate v2 ROM installed but as i have stated above, i have tried also other ROMS including the original rom that was originally installed on the phone.
What radio do you have installed?
i tried from 1.65 many version to 1.71..
finaly the local htc service center told me that the problem is with the power module chip, and that is not replaceable.
anybody knows if this is right?
Friends,
I am facing a unique problem since last 4-5 days now on my 3 month old diamond. Every morning say at after 10:00 am my phone status either shows out of coverage area or switched off to anybody who tries calling me. I usually send sms to my Office team between 9 to 10 in the morning. Sms gets delivered to them too and i get sms back too but suddenly after 10 am or so phone doesn't receive any sms or calls. When i call to my number it says the caller is not reachable or switched off even when it shows full signal strength on the taskbar.
Then i have to go to communications (in touchflo 3d interface) turned the phone to Airplane mode and then back again to phone on mode, then suddenly i receive pending sms and even the calls.
This is started happening since last 4-5 days only. Ha vent installed any software neither ever tried to flash rom. I am using the default ROM only. Please suggest if somebody else is facing the same problem and whats the solution.
Regards,
Vishal

Well i dont think its a ROM problem, coz i am using stock rom only and using it since last 4-5 months with no problem. This has started occuring since last 4 days only
bump.........................
I got an HTC One international unlocked edition phone 5 days ago. unfortunately for the last couple of days i have been experiencing an annoying problem where my network connection gets dropped every few hours or so. When this happens the phone displays the message "No signal", "limited service". The issue gets resolved by either restarting the phone, or by turning Air plane mode on and then off again. When the no Services message is on it seems like the radio off for all intents and purposes as not network gets detected.
I've looked around online and implemented the popular 'tape solution' whereby u apply some tape on the top of the micro-sim to give it better contact with the phone. But doesn't seems too successful.
Can someone tell whether this is an effective solution to the problem. it seems more like a software problem as turning Air plane on & off fixes it, if so can i expect a patch form HTC or Android in the near future. I've heard that there is a patch coming out this Friday I hope that this will solve the problem.
i've also attached images of the error
thanks in advance

Hi, happened 4th time this week (never before): I picked up the call but heard no sound ... and the other person later said that their device didn't register the pickup (as if I didn't). But other calls were ok, in one case a call from the same person a few moments later
Any recommendation how to approach this? Can this possibly be an issue somewhere on the way and not in the device?
Ideally without factory resets or handing the phone off for repair...
Thank you!
I have had issues like you said in the past, switching to gsm, 3g or 4g semmed to solve it
Disabled LTE for calls, didn't get too many so far, but they were all good. So hopefully this is solved, thank you!
