how fast is the drain? Did you check in your battery usage stats to see if there is a culprit app?

Install BetterBatteryStats from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 and you will see which wakelocks are draining your battery. If you read through that thread - or search for particular wakelocks - you will begin to understand what is causing the drain.
There is an almost infinite combination of use, ROM, phone configuration and apps installed (and occasionally malfunctioning), so it's impossible to give a useful response to your question.
That app will point you in the right direction, though. You need to install it as a system app (follow the instructions, reboot, then re-install the apk again), then leave the phone for 4-6 hours before reviewing the outputs.
Hey guys, getting terrible battery since my note 5 updated last weekend with system (mediaserver), Android system and kernel (android os) being the main offenders according to gsam. Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas for a fix? Check out my battery stats here.
Any input much appreciated!
I remember you from the reddit thread lol. I still have the same drain and after some testing it seems to be the wlan_rx_wake wakelock. The drain is worse on some large networks. After hours of googling the only working solution for me is to turn off the wifi. Have you tried turning off the wifi and checking the drain?

Thanks for the response
My wifi is off whenever I'm not home, but those three processes are still the biggest drains on my battery
Just wondering if you found a solution to this. My Note 5 has the same issue with mediaserver draining my battery

Hello everyone, here is my problem with my Note 5 SM-N920W8. Since the last firmware update, n920w8vlu4bpj1, I have been having extreme battery drain in sleep mode. Going from 100 to 60-65% of battery 6 hours after. I have been reflashing with smart switch the firmware, did a factory reset, wipe cache and wipe data. Name it, I think I did it. I don't want 3rd party app, they are only band-aid. Could I try to downgrade to my former 6.0.1 firmware, n920w8vlu2bpe3 version wich I had excellent experience with and excellent battery life, loosing about 7% in 6 hours on sleep? Battery use is mostly Android OS for the battery drain. Thanks in advance for any advice
So I'm posting here because I think it may be a cause from rooting my phone as this wasn't happening before I flash 16.4 of Magisk
Before I state my problem here are a few basic info. I have a Huawei Honor 8 running EMUI 5.0.1 and it is rooted with Magisk (in beta version 16.4). When I woke up in the morning today within 10 minutes my battery drained 10% and I checked GSAM battery monitor and it says an app (or system process) by the name HwCamCfgSvr was draining 63% of the overall battery (when the second highest draining was only 8%...). Now I did some googling and I couldn't find this app/process and I also couldn't locate it in my apps. GSAM says that it's usage details has "Video On" for 9h 22m 31s so I feel like this is the main issue for the battery drain. Could someone please help me locate this or solve this problem. Pretty sure video should not be on for 9 hours. I've attached a screenshot below
