Hi, I have an issue with file transferring. I'm wit Mi5 32Gb, Global 6.11.10 and Windows 10. Although the Transfer photos (PTP) is working. Tried with enabling/disabling debugging.
@selmandeli
go to C:\Windows\INF
there will be a file named wpdmtp.inf
right click and install..
mtp will start working
I haven't such a file. Maybe I haven't a proper driver. I have installed the "latest_usb_driver_windows". Would you please recommend me the proper driver? Thank you.

I downloaded a couple of games i want to put on my phone to test.
but im unsure how to put them on. can someone help me out..?
thanks.
and also if anyone knows any good sites i could download games aswell, that your sure that will work.
Connect your device to your PC via activesync.
If they're .exe files, run them on your PC and follow the process (i recommend installing them on your storage card)
IF they are .cab files or if Windows tells you they're not valid win32 apps then copy them over to your device. U can use activesync to this, right click the activesync icon in the taskbar and click on explore.
Once the files are on your device, browse to where you put them using file explorer and tap the files to install...
This is pretty basic stuff so keep it in mind when installing any other app/game.
Hello. I am now running Darkys ROM 8.1. Its the first time since upgrading I've tried transferring anything via USB. I notice that in windows I can't create a new folder on the ext sd card, nor access the existing folders, in fact they appear in windows (xp) with no icon or file assocation. Is it the file system used in the darkys rom that windows cannot recognise? .flv and .mpg files will transfer but when I try any other formats windows explorer says it may not be copied, may not exist or may be in use by another program.
Is this a setting in darkys I need to change? Has anyone seen this problem before? Can anyone help please
I found the answer thanks. Posting this for those who might have the same problem. I installed the Kies V2 on my win7 64bit laptop, and the file system on the phone can be seen now and file transfers can be done ok now.
It is either issues with Kies 1.5 or problems with my other pc after a hardware install.
Hi,
I am having trouble with copying a zip file which is larger than 1gb to my htc one (dev edition). I have no idea why. When I paste the file which I intended to copy the message "the device has been disconnected" appeared. Meanwhile, I can copy other files or folders without any problems.
Please help

Haven't occur to me such problem. However, have you try transferring that file using adb?
Code:
adb push <file_to_transfer> /sdcard/<filename>

I had this issue, it's your computer. Try a Win 7 machine or a computer with a bigger ram. At work on Vista, this error occurred. At home with Win7 on a less powerful laptop, no problem.

I managed to move the file now using the old Bluetooth method. I have 3 laptops. One is using window 8 and all usb 3.0. It is a bad experience, the USB 3.0 doesn't allow the recognition of my phone. Two other laptops are running win7, though I still cannot transfer the file.
good day
