Huawei P9 - Installing EVA-L19 on an EVA-AL00 - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone,
I have an P9 (EVA-AL00), the 3gb Dual-SIM chinese variant. I'm using it in Europe, and i would like to try (after a NANDROID Backup done) to flash the corresponding European Dual-SIM variant EVA-L19 firmware.
A few questions:
-Does anyone here had already flashed an European Firmware on a Chinese variant?
-Having it done (if possible), may the phone receive OTA updates, this time for EVA-L19?
Objective:
-Mainly, my objective here was to get a phone as if was and original European one, which i could create a Huawei ID account.
-As a bonus: Get working that search tool we got from long pressing "Home button" and the slide up, i guess its called HIVoice, in english or portuguese.
I basically would like to still have this amazing phone (and Android compilation btw) as stock as possible (Europe zone).
Many thanks in advance!
PS: I have some experience with flashing CFW, on some phones i previously had - Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300), but none with Huawei phones

how to bring EU firmware to P9 EVA-AL10

HI there,
i bought an P9 EVA AL10 in China. It works fine, but all notifications coming in chinese letters. The system language can be changed, but not for the notifications.
Is there someone who can help me, to install an European Firmware?
Many thanks in advance!
Chris
it could be brick i think with wrong firmware.
you mean i need a wrong firmware? I´m not so professional with Android. I´m just starting with it.
I also have the same question... Should i even try to change firmware? Can we just try to install EVA-L29 ROM (they have same specs from what i saw..)?

Anyway to install other region ROM to Huawei P9 TL00?

Got this TL00 from China. this version doesnt have NFC. Wishing to change to EVA-L29 rom
I have the same problem, DL00 and chinese rom, mostly would like to change it to an european or american rom to remove all the chinese locked stuff...
you can search tutorials on how to debrand Huawei p9, note that you will need to unlock your bootloader and root your device first.

Need oeminfo C150 please?

Hi guys, I need an oeminfo C150 for flash C150B191 and C150B321 (Nougat) please? I have C432B181 and I want flash C150B191 or C150B321. Another thing.. Is there TWRP for Nougat P9 Plus? And can rooting on Nougat? Thanks. Regards
Ps. I have P9 Plus... VIE-L09C432B181
me too, have anyone this oeminfo ?
Yeah, maybe someone can make a backup of the telekom oeminfo and custom.bin of a branded t-com P9 Plus? That seems the best solution to get Nougat in germany right now and faster updates.
I check everyday for new updates and information for a Leaked Beta or rollout of c432 Nougat in germany. I had a branded Vodafone P9 Plus now unbranded C432 because i thought they would get easier or faster a Nougat update xP Fail~ Telecom is the first Provider that i ever saw doing that fast updates...faster then Huawei for C432.
Well i hope someone can help or HW will be soon as possible rollout finally the Update for C432 or someone shares a leaked beta/stable. I guess there will be no Offical Beta in germany now after that long time they would already had started something. The only other question is, have the C150 some kind of bloatware by telecom inside?
I love Huawei but it's bad sad to see that a phone like the P9 Plus seems to get the Update as last one.

Can I change firmware from Chininese to European

Hi There,
I bought Huawei P9 plus in china in Dec 16, model no: VIE-AL10. I continually update the Chinese firmware on it, when the phone requests a new one is available. However I get fed up that there are still some features I can't access as I don't understand chinese and also I don't have a chinese registered mobile no. to access some of the Huawei faciilities.
Can I change the firmware to a European version? and if so how do I go about this. I'm not very savvy when it comes to mobiles so a simple step by step process would be appreciated . What are the main differences between the two firmwares which you think I will benefit from?
thanks
andy
On XDA, 'support' for P9 Plus is much less than for P9 (there are procedures to debrand P9 and install EU cust c432, wherefrom you can install custom ROMs for P9, etc).
If you google for e.g. XDA VIE-AL10, you can find some threads about installing TWRP and rooting the Chinese P9 Plus, you may further ask there
TG, I have P9 EVA-L09 which is best 'supported' (with L19)

I also have a chinese version P20 PRO CLT-AL00 8.1.0.108(sp3c00).
Will it lose some hardware functions?
What about warranty ? All I want would be to have a normal European software inside with google apps and so on.
In case I have a problem I would install the backup of the current firmware and send it to repairs in China.
How in a quickly overview can I do this ? I know about TWRP but I am not sure if I can just copy the firmware from one L29 to my L00 and just hope for the best..
I successfully rebranded and installed a european firmware (CLT-L29 8.1.0.120 (C432)) with FunkyHuawei. The Huawei stock apps are replaced with Google stock apps. I haven't loss any noticeable functionality.
The UK Huawei team is the only team I encounter that actually helps with customers, especially with assisting unlocking bootloaders. I would consider sending the phone to them before China.
Warranty is voided when bootloader is unlocked and the device is rooted. UK Huawei team gives several warnings about warranty while obtaining the unlock code for the bootloader.
Do you an an e-mail contact for the Huawei UK team?

Mine is the chinese version too, I’ve asked Huawei UK for the code. What’s the procedure to rebrand it?

There's instructions provided and Funky Huawei will happily help you through the process if you get stuck or confused.
In general,
Unlock Bootloader
Setup DNS server to point to FunkyHuwaei
Boot to Fastboot
Run rebrand tool with device connected
Choose region
Choose firmware
Boot to eRecovery
Run update
Wait and reboot, success
You'll encounter errors and will have to run the tool twice. This is normal.
Sorry for replying in an older thread but I didn't want to create a new one for a similar question.
I have a P20 Pro bought from China, as I had problems using my S8+ with China sims, but I would like to bring to EU firmware as it has chinese voice control menus with chinese commands that cannot be changed to english. Google is there as a separate menu but it doesn't include Wake Up command like the native functionalities in the Voice control menu.
Is there a way to bring it to EU firmware but unroot it after I'm done? Reason is I have insurance to cover my phone back in UK but I'm not sure whether it will cover it if it's rooted.
