Samsung Internet browser problem - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to fox my Internet app? Every time I download something it names it as "downloadfile" instead of the original download name and it also downloads just about everything as a .bin file.

I have this problem too with opera on my kaiser. The only way I found to download from rapidshare is to use a premium account. For the free downloads, use Pocket internet explorer.

Nexus One Error: sorry the player does not support this type of audio file

hey i just ran into my first problem with the nexus, when i download an mp3 file from the browser (i tried the stock browser and also dolphin browser) it only downloads a small portion of the file and when i try to open the mp3 file it gives me an error saying "sorry the player does not support this type of audio file" i tried downloading the mp3 off of rapidshare, usershare, mediafire, and also limelinx. does anyone know why im getting this error?
bump....anyone?
The stock browser cannot download certain file types. Several applications such as Linda file manager and Astro file manager enable download of all file types. However if you simply want the same functionailty without an additional application then download and installed Download Crutch Lite
thanks for your response. I tried that but still no luck...

Download unsuccessful

I'm trying to download a mp3 file from a website and I get a message saying "Download Unsuccessful. Cannot download. The content is not supported on this phone." Is there a way to force the file the download?
Get Astro and look in the settings.
Try to download either Linda file manager or Astro from the Market. Then try again. Did it work?
It's because the stock android browser will not let you download certain file types. As the previous posters have said Astro or Linda will do this just fine. Alternatively Download Crutch Lite (8KB) will simply enable all file extensions (I.e. No application/menu).
Thanks. I got Astro and everyone is downloading.

[Q] download zip/rar

Is there a way to DL zips and rars with one application or with one switch someplace that would allow DL of any filetype? I have androzip and astro. Seems like I shouldnt need both.
I download literally all types of files using dolphin browser.

Question Google Chrome for Android download setting "ask where to save files" does not work. Is it me or One UI 4.1?

In chromes download settings there's an option to ask where to save files. However, if I download anything on chrome it immediately downloads to the download folder rather than asking where to download it.
It may not seem important but I use a folder structure for a lot of downloads and it can be tedious downloading to the downloads folder and having to sort through files to move to other folders.
Is there a solution, or is this just a shortfall of One UI 4.1? Does anyone know if this functions properly in raw Android?
